On an unrelated note...question for the GM and the other players.
Are we (the characters) going to have some background knowledge of one another, or are we going to be a put-together team by the fixer? I just figured we could maybe work this out while waiting on character finalizations. |

LOL!!! I didn't catch this and I bet you didn't either fazzy, but apparently I bought ten rating 3 chem seal mods during character creation. No biggie, I'll just say he has an undefinable amount of extra simchips and movies bought with the extra money.

I'd prefer to know most of the other runners if that works for Fazz. My character's been in Seattle his whole life and likes to socialize and stay out when he gets the chance. His house isn't terribly comfortabe.

Right now we're waiting for another update from chance.
Tabula, Aiku has heard of Ice Queen, Greven, and Biff-Kun professionally but hasn't worked with them, Ice Queen and Biff-Kun he wouldn't know socially. Whether he knows Greven from his times out socializing is Chance's call. He hasn't heard of Slim-Jim or The Shepherd. If anyone would like any of that to be different just speak up. |

Biff-Kun is relatively new to the shadowrunning scene, and just recently moved to Seattle, but already he stands out, which is fine. Quick character edit!!! I know the copy I sent you fazz has biff being down as 7'9", but I just realized that's prohibitively short for a troll. average height is 10', and he's got a body of 21 so he'll probably be 13-14' tall all things considered. probably closer to 800lbs too. No thin ice for this troll, and no sedans either (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) go-go-GMC Bulldog go!
[ Spoiler ] Just a few wild rumors and conjectures gotten off the net. Feel free to postulate your own opinions about Biff from that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Haha, the current RL group I play with are a bunch of power-gamers so I've become quite good at coming up wit taking people who are "eenveencible" down a peg or two. Right now they're pretty stoked about knocking a regular (non-great) dragon into deadly damage. Although, it did take a truck loaded with Compound 12 plastic explosives and kill half their team. The thing I didn't tell them is.. oh wait, they check this forum... n/m (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) |

Lol the 4th edition version of Biff has over 500 karma and was single-handedly responsible for the destruction of the Renraku Arcology, not to mention (my all-time favorite shadowrun scene) shoving two vigilant rotary assault cannons down a dragon's throat and letting them rip. (Disclaimer: No real dragons were harmed in the playing of this game). I just thought it would be fun to play him as a baby character again. When I used to play him in 3rd he had an armor-plated RV with naval cannons on it. This is before all that, of course (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
These are the good old days back when vampires were actually scary. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/vegm.gif) (In 2073 Biff finds out that heavy machineguns work just as well against vampires as fire and garlic. A swiss-cheese vampire is nobody's friend  [So imagine, there I was, my team basically fragged around me, guards running down the halls, and this big fraggin dragon staring me down. Now I'm a mouthful even for a greater western, and this was a young thing. But I guess it decided troll was on the menu, and tried to eat me. By then, I was pissed. I'd seen three of my friends killed by this thing and our weapons weren't making a dent in its scales. Youd think twin Vigilants would put out more, but whatever. Anyways, this things head is coming down towards me, like the size of a car, aiming to take chunks out so I'm like frag that drek. What do I do? I jab both of my Vigilants skyward into the things mouth and let it have a taste of Autocannon. Lets just say I'm still on the run from Daddy dragon.] -- Biff-Kun, 2079 -- |

Slim Jim has only been in Seattle for a month or so. So he might have heard of some of the others, but obviously nobody has heard of him.

Ok, I guess we're set...
I've said it before and I'll say it again this is my very first pbp game, so if it is a bumpy start don't get discouraged. I'm sure things will smooth out. To start things off it is Monday Sept 20th, 2060. Fuchi was dissolved only 2 months ago, the renraku arc is still on lock down, and Halley's comet is still a year away. Everyone receives a message from your usual source of work and you receive the message in whatever fashion you would normally use with that particular contact. The gist of the message is someone is looking for some new talent for a run that the johnson described as "easy work" and that you are to meet the johnson at 2100 tonight at Molly's. Whether you know of it or have to look it up is up to you. It is a small bar in South Tacoma. And now I direct you to..... the Welcome back to 2060 IC thread!!! and the Welcome back to 2060 OOC thread! |
