There is an ork language, Or'zet. But it isn't translated till 2060 and isn't actually taught to anyone until 2061. Also, only orks and trolls have the jaw structure to speak it correctly, anyone else suffers a +2 TN mod to speaking it correctly. So at char creation, it isn't available. Now if somehow your char gets down to San Fran and learns it from a fugative Orkland Community Center researcher later then you'd be in luck. But thats a whole adventure in and of itself.

Regarding the racial tensions, I'm up for you playing him however you want and seeing what happens... if things start getting out of hand though don't be surprised by some GM intervention.

One of th ecommunications devices comes with encryption at its level, the mcro transciever maybe? I forget which on it is, but its worth it. A net opertes at the encryption of it's lowest member. Jester uses a E4 to talk to his drones and on his own personal system, so everyone try to make sure you have at least enryption 4.

None of the communication devices or communication headware in BBB (is it still referred to by BBB even though it's 3rd edition?) are listed with encryption, unless I'm really over looking it.

The racial tensions aren't really necessary on my part. Anti-elven sentiments and the proximity of Tir Tairngire just made it the easiest path to Seattle. If anyoen has alternate ideas, I'm open to them.

It's also not necessarily racism against elves. More like bigotry towards the nations of Tir na Og and Tir Tairngire. Plain old UGE elves are, while not really BFF material, are tolerable.

That'd prolly work pretty good.

Shadow:Also, I found what you were thinking of, Personal Communication Unit (cc.55) comes with encryption

OK. I'm going to be pretty busy with work, school, and Easter stuff this weekend, but I should have a fleshed-out background and character sheet ready by Monday.

How about I have to make a quickness test to get the wrist tracks to work? I was going to have the do 6L with 6 round clips to keep it from being to unbalanced.

Well if you're handcuffed or something similar then I can't imagine how a wrist slide would be able to work... any other time that movement is restricted due to small space we can go with a quickness test. The 6L with 6 round clips is actually worse than the Steyr TMPs I suggested.

Steyr TMP Conceal:9 Ammu:30c Mode:SA/BF/FA Damage:6L Weight:2 Cost:900 Accessories:None Availability:8/48hrs Street Index:2 Book Page:cc.(18)

Ice Queen wouldn't have any problems with elves whatsoever - she doesn't like the Tirs, politically, and that's not even a major facet of her personality, just one of her many opinions.

The whole pistols on wrist tracks thing is an image I have in my mind. It's not about finding a good weapon for general use.

I don't have a problem with you using a 6 clip, FA, 6L pistol on arm slides. I was just suggesting a 30 round, FA, 6L machine pistol on arm slides. Although, now that you mention it, the smaller 6 round (which I would imagine has a concealability of around 7 or (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) would be better suited to hiding up a sleeve.. anyway.. here's the stats I came up with...
Glock 9mm Subcompact Conceal:8 Ammo:6c Mode:SA/FA Damage:6L Weight:1 Cost:Â¥650 Notes:The modification made to the gun does not include BF mode. Firing in FA requires a Complex action as per standard rules.

Sound fair? I gave it the concealability of a hold-out pistol but with FA and light pistol damage.

The comm-gear you're looking for is the personal comm unit from cc p.55

Cheers,

I'm fine with that pistol. Since per standard SR3 rules you can only fire 1 weapon full auto at a time, I'll probably put it on the left wrist.

Now if it's more fitting to your character you can have 2 glocks that fire sa/bf only but the bf requires a complex action. That would make it so you could fire both guns at once...

After checking there's no rule preventing firing 2 weapons at full auto at the same time. The rules in CC just prevent firing one weapon BF or SA while firing another weapon at FA. (cc.94)

"Hoi, Slim Jim! What's the word on the street?" the skinny man behind the counter asked. "Not much, Dave. Just looking for some place to be and something to do to get me some cred." answered the even more slender man walking into the computer store. His stringy black hair, tied into a ponytail today, swung around the tops of his shoulders as he looked at a Nakatomi reality filter inside the case. Maybe someday.

Slim Jim's black leather pants creaked as he walked out the door, his Greatcoat swishing in the breeze off of the sound. He cast a wary eye at the gangers on the corner as he walked down the street. Not much trouble happening from them that he couldn't handle if he needed to. He was glad he got that upgrade on his hand razors a few weeks ago, they're so much sharper now that they almost feel like they're dikoted. But if things got really out of hand, his Ingram Smartgun could really even the odds fast.

Heading back to his doss, or rather the doss belonging to the non-existent "Jim Brady", Jim threw his coat over towards a chair and pulled up to his most valuable asset, his Sony Cyberdeck. Connecting the cable from the deck to the datajack in the back of his skull, he closed his eyes and watched the simsense reality of the Matrix manifest around him. Standing next to the small pyramid icon of his logon point, he stood a moment and took a quick check on his persona. Online at last, he looked like a standard human with what looked like metallic black boots and pants, a bright red shirt with some kind of gold logo on the left breast and a plain face, basically purple eyes and a slit for a mouth.

"Red Shirt, online and reporting for duty." he vocalized to no one in particular. Flying off to the border of the LTG, he dived in to the grid.

I've finished the crunchy bits, but I'm still finishing the background details. Also, since I'm using the NSRCG, is it acceptable if I PM you the html or xml file, or would you like me to convert it and post it as plain text?

If you would, please email me the .sr3 and .rtf in addition to the html export. I don't care for the xml exports, I feel the html looks nicer. hollis21(at)gmail(dot)com

Can you post a link the the 3rd ed character generator you are using? I've got most of the character's crunchy bits done but I'm finding some output errors when I try to print out a sheet with what I have.
