Stupid math. *shakes fist* right you are. Even with 11P though he'd be dead even if every die came up a six.

in previous editions only success beyond the first increased damage. I must have been running on autopilot. Either that or I just missed a hit when I counted them up.

LOL it's bound to happen with the amount of PC and NPC's you have to juggle here. Hell I get confused, and I only have Sweeps to think about. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

Ok... The gangers turn is about ready to go up. Everyone double check my math. I did a lot of dicerolling in the past 20 minutes so I might have missed something. In fact I know I missed something till I was halfway done. That's why the ganger shooting at Mack has the last die from each of his rolls scratched off. I forgot about the modifier for shooting from cover.

Also remember. I did not factor this in, because it still might change but there are two very important points I need to underscore.

1) each successive dodge (or straight reaction roll) roll in a given IP suffers a -1 modifier.

2) If your armour is equal to the number of net hits after your dodge you only suffer stun damage. This might be a big deal, particularly for Hex since he just got shot 4 times (sorry, they see you as the biggest threat). Also if you get knocked out, or down any successive shots fired in your direction automatically miss. This isn't in the RAW but it makes PbP combat go a lot easier.

Hack and Slash don't make an appearance so this means that we're rolling over into the second Initiative pass. Now's when things get ugly for the gangers, they only had one IP.

Hex, unless your initiative score drops below 12, you're up next. Wait till the damage from the gangers is resolved until you do so though.
Arrgh! just noticed I forgot to factor in Sybercat's distraction on the shooting rolls. Fixed now.

Thank god for the distraction, or that might have been worse! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif) I pretty much envision Hex having ended up near the desk on the side next to the guy who had the SMG, prior to his failure to catch that knife with something less important than his neck. Sorta in cover from most of the room, except for G5 I guess, but his next action is lost due to having gone on full defense.

And no worries, I expected to be shot at a lot...ork's tend to be bullet magnets it seems like. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif)

Wow... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/eek.gif) *golf clap* that was impressive. I wasn't expecting you to get out of the way of everything.

You forgot to factor in an additional -1 for the final roll but that wouldn't have affected the outcome anyhow.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of, hehe. I got really lucky too...that first shot literally woulda got me had it not been for Sybercat. Hex owes her a beer! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif)

Yep, you're right, if you get an even amount to dodge, they miss.

I must admit. Lighting up street gangers is a hell of a lot of fun. It's pretty rare that they are able to do anything more than bruise most PC's and they drop like flies before running away.

Just wait till you come up against some of the runs serious prime runner type opposition though. I've toned them down, but there's still a physad who rolls 17 dice on a full dodge. When my TT group first ran through the adventure the PC's managed to bring him down by suppressing him with an LMG while another PC blew off a limb with a shotgun.

just a warning... I'm heading out for the evening in about 15 minutes. If my turn rolls around, Imperialus, please go ahead and post for me. I plan on aiming for my first simple action and nailing the doorman with my second simple action (13d6 - conditional mods). After that, Padre'll shoot at any combatant types or otherwise unfriendly types that come near the van or out the door.

In other news, Padre does have adept based mystic armor up (don't know if I need to announce that in game or not).

See you lot either late tonight or tomorrow morning!

No worries. It happens, especially in combat. It tends to even out in the end. Sometimes you forget to add a die, other times you forget to take one off. It's only a huge deal when PC death is on the line. Chances are the only reason we're even noticing is because we're sitting there staring at our rolls long after their effect has passed. If we were sitting around a table chances are none of us would have noticed anything amiss.

Have a good evening Mickle.

Imperialus, would you like to indicate where you think we all ended up. (Particularly, if anyone can walk to a clean shot on the mage, and who actually knows that the Spirit is materializing?)

Sweeps, I think it is your turn, isn't it, since HEx made very good use of his turn not getting hit. (And Hex will get a third turn on the wheel before the bad guys.)

Yours,
Joel / Mack

Wow, more ridiculous luck out of nowhere! You can set the roller to reroll on a specific number, which I did since I spent edge...and got three sixes in a row on one die. This can only mean one thing: I will get killed by something as heroic as falling out of a car later in the story.

Back from dinner.
I believe it is Drogue (th Spirit), and the Padre and me?

Imperialus, if it is reasonable could you summarize who is where after the Spirit goes, and let me know whether I am aware of the spirit (I know I did not see it during the first round.)

Yours,
Joel / Mack
