Great post, Imperialus. Don't answer this anyone, but I think this "cat" character may be our very own Sybercat. I'm just guessing, of course - but it strikes me right. If so, Loki will not be happy. Of course, I'm not going to use this IC, just theorizing.

Right! So I think we got all we can now.

I think we hand Hack back now and then head back to see what, if anything, Sybercat has found.

Then we head out to Xanadu for the B&E stage.

Is everyone else ok with that?

My only clarification is that we need to put in a little down time.
We need to take the Van back to Cat. Maybe she will have learned something. We should fill her in.
(I doubt very much that Sybercat is a Yak Oyabun, even with some indication that the fixer who brought her in is connected with the Yaks.)
Then we need to take a little down time. (Mack needs 1 hour rest, we will need food. And we don't want to go for Xanadu until well into the evening / night. )

Sounds like a plan. I'm gonna be out for most the day so if anyone wants to do a filler style post getting everyone back to the YBR I'm cool with that. Later tonight I'll do an IC post to tell you what Sybercat learned (you already know most of it though) and then tomorrow I'll put Xanadu part II up.

Do you actually know Russian, Imperialus? If so, that's pretty damn cool - I understand it's quite difficult to learn if you're a native English speaker.

No, no Russian. I speak Spanish, French, and a bit of Latin though. That was thanks to internet translation software.

oh my god, guys, Mickle5125's back! and, just from reading the ooc posts... I missed a lot. I'll read up on everything I've missed, and I'll post a reply sometime this evening probably. Unless, of course, someone posts a message telling me to leave off posting until told otherwise.

Oh, and before I forget, thanks for not getting Padre killed. I've actually came up with fun little plans for him... Anyone ever see the anime Black Lagoon?

Welcome back Padre. Read the info we have, and post what you can think of.
We are basically about to take a little time to rest up, and then break into Xandu.

Glad to have you back. As far as holding off posting, go for it. Now's a great time to figure out where to go next. Xanadu still has some surprises but you're pretty well ready to move to the next phase of the adventure.

Hey welcome back Mickle5125!!

I'm actually re-reading all we have done to try and tie some of this down to the right places.

I'm making a shortlist of clues, and finding myself really having fun with this one!

We have lots of places to go yet, and Xanadu is making me nervous! Sweeps's reputation is really on the line here!

Oh yeah! And we also still need to talk to the band that Dark Angel was a part of. Forgot all about that bit!

*grins* don't be scared... but be happy to know that, should he survive, Padre's going to be around for a long while... ^__^

on a related note, did anyone do anything with the Troll's gun? because, if not, Padre's grabbing it.

on another related note, how exactly would one handle improving the security on a church?

I know this sounds daft, but talking to an arms dealer or security contact would help I think. Or maybe Tinman or Elfin Face? They have to keep Yellow Brick Road secure, though they use allot of muscle. But it can't hurt to ask.

Sorry I'm dragging my heals in the IC, I'm trying to re-read everything BEFORE I post again and people here are distracting me!

This is probably a stupid question. Should we know who the Oyuban are? I can't find a reference to them.

Oyuban is just japanese for "boss" He'll be a major player in either the triad or yakuza, I forget which exactly.

Specifically, Oyabun is the title for a Yakuza boss. If I understand the way things work here, the Yak involvement in Seattle should be overseen by a small number of Oyabun (some games it seems to be 1, some games it is a couple) who are responsible, at least when it comes to conflict with other Yaks, to someone back in Tokyo.

At Yellow Brick Road, does Mack see any knives? (We had discussed a better knife for hand-to-hand that was listed in Arsenal.)

thanks,

Still kicking. The posting schedule has slowed somewhat from the first couple weeks. It's nothing to worry about, it happens in almost all PbP's. School is starting to ramp up for me, which is why I'm around less but I should have Xanadu up later tonight.

Xanadu will go up tomorrow. I can't get it discribed the way I like so I played around RPing Elfin-Face for a bit to get my brain working.

Joel: If you want the knife, it's stats are:

Str/2+3, AP -2. It also has a level 2 custom look (+2 to tests that involve intimidation or reputation). It's also, like I said pure sex.

I am going to presume for game purposes that the hilt is already properly sized and balanced for a large Troll. If that turns out not to be the case, I will edit my post.

*picks his jaw up off the ground* holy crap. That knife is absolutely heinous. and lovely. Pure sex seems a very good description of it.
