Hey Meriss, Ithink you made a bit of a snaffoo. You're negotiating for 6K, but you posted it as 6K total. They're offering 5K up front, and 10K after the deal, for a total of 15K. I did indeed. I was reading it as 5K total, which is still alot for a simple beating. This is Too Much. Something is indeed up. Altered to be five up front, twelve on the back end. This will net us our bonus without too much work. Though I may drop the money figure entirely. RJs got it covered. |

She did mentino something about "breaking accords". Maybe he went turn coat, or maybe he's there little "research circles" competition. If he's running up against the frats he may have reported a hazing. Fist you got any mundane goodies to run his info down? He should have a blog or Facebook/Myspace page. That'll give us some idea of his stuff. Also later we'll have to crack the campus node, they'll have all his research details. I'd also like to trail the target and find his most vulnerable beatdown locale. |

Yeah but that's all stuff for after the meet. Already starting the data search, and fed teh first bit to the Team to assist a bit in the negotiations.

The chip has all the pertinent data on the target including name, age and all the other necessary biological information (as well as unnecessary information). It includes an up-to-date class schedule and links to a few security cameras on campus (with access codes). Additionally, it provides some background on his girlfriend Melody Porter. It's not much but it's more than MITNick could dig up in his quick search.

But nothing on where their server system is, or even a matrix link?

She wants the guys research project off of his server. It stands to reason that, being fellow students, she would have some idea of where he does his work, whether it's the physical side, or a matrix node. Havign that information from the get go would go a long ways to saving time on very basic legwork.
Kinda like "Go rob a store". "OK, which store?" |

Your argument is highly interesting. And very true. She has not told us in any way, shape or form where we are to retrieve said data. Do you suppose she wants us to beat it out of him?
The thing I love about you fist. You make me think. Though other side of the coin. Is Miss J. required to tell us where? hmmmmmmm I'll have to relook at some of the DS materials. Though it is part of the job and thus falls under a logical expectation by runners. |

No, she's not required to tell us a thing. 'Course we're not required to take the job either. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
What makes me nervous is that the pay is really good for college kids. Tehy'ev got to have backing, even if it's just family money. I'm concerned that they're not expounding on a key issue because it might be "Bad News". And again, it's a fair assumption that it's something they know at least a little about. So far, the only questions they've answered are in regards to roughing the guy up, which they pitched as secondary to the main job. |

RE: Negotiation
Yes it is going on behind the scenes at the moment. ----- Assuming you slot the chip it has the location of the physical server. It is in the high rent district on the 17th floor of an office building downtown. There is also a link to a matrix site with a warning about high level black ice. |

Okay if its a S-K contract then I get it, but still. Why not a high sec research lab? 2. Eh? High level black Ice? What da heck is this kid researching? |

Well, I'm in for the job, and I think SinN is. Waiting on RJ since he was doing the discussing ATM.
Everyone good to go on? Meriss, RJ? I know sinN is in the field so he might be another day or so. |
