Wasn't trying to humble anyone, I just had a full idea of the character, which is rarely the case with me to be honest. But thank you. Hell, the characters I've played the longest usually start out with just a name, and the rest is filled in later.
This 350BP shit is driving me nuts. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

"Good my young apprentice. Let your anger flow through you."
----- What else does this party need before I put up the IC post. As a GM I need to know if any of the PCs know each other prior to the start of the game. Any gang affiliations, etc. |

I've got my flight back tonight. I've got Duty Section the next two days (Monday and Tuesday) so I won't be able to get out of the barracks to get to the library, so don't let me hold you up. I have Duty section every three days (basically we have to stay at the barracks just incase there's anything that needs getting done), so that's going to be a regular thing for the next month unfortunately.
I just bought Unwired. I've only had time to look through the Table of Contents, but it looks really cool. Alex, let me know how you'd like to handle material in there. Since it's going to be a lower powered game, there shouldn't be as much stuff that I can really pull out of there anyway. RJ: I prefer "Griper", but whacha gonna do? |

@Fist: That was a compliment man. Guess my tone came off wrong.
@Alex: Steve's been out of circulation for the last three years prior to game start. Prison's a bitch, solitary no less. |

OK, the IC post is up. Sorry it took so long. Today, RL did what it normally does. "Plans? You had plans? Sorry, no. I'd like you to meet my friend, Mr. Murphy."
----- Some housekeeping stuff: I need to get all the character sheets in one place. I have some in PM, some on the OOC, some in cyberspace. When you get your feet on the ground, please send me the sheets via PM. For now, you are getting a call from whoever it is that you normally get a call from. Fill in the blanks until I get used to your contacts. Prologues are really OOC knowledge but I find that they add flavor to the game. Posting guidelines: simple and easy. Character names in bold. "Speach in quotes." Thoughts in italics. <<Comm traffic in brackets.>> Time in bold (if it is critical for some reason). OK, for those that want a view of the opening scene, here is the google maps shot: Rose Towers - Overhead View Rose Towers is the roughly "T" shaped building lying on it's "side". The President's Pavilion is down and to the left. The circle area at the top left of the area is the park. |

Couple of questions:
1) What day/year/day of week is it? 2) Can we use colors as well as long as we conform to the above? |

I'll answer in reverse order.
2. By all means, if colors make it easier, then knock yourself out. Please stay away from darker tones though. 1. Tuesday. 2070. Let's say mid October. The actual date is not terribly important. ----- Don't forget that I need character sheets via PM. |

Flash :
[2,6,2,2,5] = 2 hits [3,3,5,5,2] = 2 hits [3,5,3,6,4] = 2 hits [2,5,1,4,2] = 1 hit [3,4,5,4,2] = 1 hit 8 total hits on Northport. (Security ratings, gangs, corporate influence, local ordinances to watch for) [5,5,5,1,6] = (4) hits [5,6,1,6,3] = (3) hits [4,6,1,1,6] = (2) hits [5,5,3,4,5] = (3) hits [1,2,4,3,4] = (0) hits 12 total hits on City Cafe. |

Alex - still need some BP costs for Complex forms, and other details like the attribute/bio-node stat equivelants. PM me you number when you get some time. THat'll make this a whole lot easier. I'm good to go as far as the character, just not the stats. Let me know how you'd like to proceed. |

Just read up on where we are. I have to go eat now. My stomach is starting to consider my innards as food. I'll post answers for everything as soon as I get home. Look for my answers around 2100 hours Mountain time. (9:00 pm for you non-military people).

@ Redjack
Northport: Used to be an independent town but got eaten by Tuscaloosa about 40 or 50 years ago. It sits on the northwest side of the Black Warrior River. (Oddly enough, it got it's name from way back when there actually was a port on the north side of the river.) Now is part of Tuscaloosa from an administrative point of view. Still carries the name the way some neighborhoods do. Local ordinances allow for the possession of legal firearms with a permit. Handguns (holdout and light pistols) don't normally get extra scrutiny from T-MAP (the Tuscaloosa Metro Area Police). Shotguns are considered general purpose weapons and may get by is you are a well known quantity in the area. (Not recommended for the PCs since they live across the river.) All other weapons will get the normal amount of scrutiny. Security ratings can vary all over Northport. The area around City Cafe is a safe area and T-MAP might look into pistols if you give them a reason - like being an ork or troll or looking at them funny. The dominant gang in the area is the River Warriors. They claim the area along the river as theirs; however, they don't stop anyone from going to the area around City Cafe. There is little corporate influence except for the commercial airport. ----- City Cafe: Everyone knows where City Cafe is located. It has the best food you can buy for the nuyen. A meat (soy-based protein on the first two floors) plus four vegetables and water (clean water, no less) for 5 nuyen. They place is standing room only for breakfast and lunch. Only the top floor is open for dinner and then, only by invitation. The original building had taken over the entire block and was replaced by a three story building that caters to all types - both meta and social. The bottom floor is reserved for the SINless and the poor. The second floor is reserved for those of the middle class or the occasion high roller who feels like slumming for the day. The top floor is given over to those that can afford (or pretend to afford) luxury. Many corps have reserved rooms on the top floor. It is one of the safest areas in all of Tuscaloosa. Located in Northport's former downtown, City Cafe is run by Grandma's, Inc. The company was founded around 50 years ago by the "grandma's" who ran the original Cafe. Currently, a small stake is owned by most of the corporations in the area as it gives them a secure location to conduct business and make deals. One of the worst kept secrets is that Saeder-Krupp has reserved the right to use the entire top floor at will. City Cafe has a no weapons policy and have the scanners (and bouncers) to back it up. After the Crash, the walls were lined with a Faraday cage to prevent eavesdropping. However, the Cafe has it's own Matrix nexus for those that want to stay connected. They strictly enforce the no-spam policy and once famously through out a Horizon employee for polluting their AR-space. Service is low-tech. The "grandma's" still take orders by hand and the kitchen still churns out plenty of food each day. |

River Warriors:
The Warriors deal primarily in stolen goods. They always seem to have the right item that "just fell of the truck." They provide some security to those that can pay in the Kentuck housing project / slum to the west of City Cafe. The Warriors have limited to no dealings with the Black Dogs. They have a slightly adversarial relationship with the 25th Avenue Maulers - nothing major. The river really seems to be a well respected border between all the gangs. |

FYI
I will be in California for the next two weeks doing an audit. I will have limited internet access but I plan to try to post around once a day. I may miss but I thought that I would try to keep us in the same loop. Also, I will be away from my books during this time. @ Fist Sorry for the delay on some of your questions. I was hoping that we could get lined out in RL. Without further preamble: [ Spoiler ]
