Hmm, yes, seems I haven't provided any sort of description for Step and yet Zyerne managed to get the general gist of her appearance (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

Step is somewhat skinny, even among elven standards. Despite her efforts to remember to eat, she isn't always good about following those efforts, and so despite having plenty of food, she still misses meals from time to time. More than that though is her lack of muscle tone. This is obviously someone to whom the concept of a gym is foreign. Despite that she comes across as a 'natural beauty' as many elves tend to, a small amount of makeup enhancing her face, and especially her crystal blue eyes. She has roughly waist length brown hair, though it's exact length is impossible to tell as it is currently done up into a bun to compliment her dress in style.

@Karoline: Low physical stats was what I remembered. Given that 'cute' is in the eye of the beholder, the rest seemed like a pretty good guess. Step is actually only 1 point behind Raven in the physical attributes department. Although Raven's are apparently more obvious (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

@Thanee: To my knowledge, never listened to Dutch metal or symphonic metal before. Interesting.. As to the lady in question, she looks like a good fit. Hair is right, which is important, there are no 'change hairlength' powers.

@Alex: I hadn't, until just now, considered Assensing vs Facial Sculpt. Do I need a disguise roll? What about Melanin Control?

BTW, does Flash have any standard (not alphaware) cyber?

Or does Raven see 3 complete mundanes there (the 2 TMs and potentially Flash)?

Melanin Control wouldn't, thinking about it, as you can't tell ethnicity with Assensing as far as I'm aware. What I'm not so sure about is whether Angel has an 'Elven' aura despite her current appearance. Masking mentions appearing as another form of Astral 'creature' which I don't think the metatypes count as and Assensing mentions recognising auras through physical disguises. Facial sculpt is essentially a magical, physical, disguise.

It's magic... but the effect is physical (it changes your physical appearance, it is surely not a "Mana" effect), and that is what matters.

I'm not even sure a spell like Mask (the Mana version) would work in astral space... while it does not actually change you, as it messes with the perception of others, it does not specifically change your aura, but rather your physical appearance. And that is not what one sees via Assensing.

So, even if your physical appearance is that of a human, in astral space you would be visible as an elf (unless you know Masking Metamagic, then you can do something about that). Though, maybe you would need some detailed observation (i.e. Assensing), in order to discern that from the aura, as it might not be immediately obvious.

BTW, does SR4A actually say anywhere what auras look like? I couldn't find anything about that...
