It would help if somewhere on the Assensing table it listed 'metatype'. Same goes for Masking for that matter.
Anyway... Certainly, she'd look like an Elf if she was projecting. Auras are a little more grey, at least by my reading of things. I'm likely going to have to make a ruling of my own on this as one of my players also has facial sculpt. Unless there's some Assening vs Disguise rules I'm missing, but a repeated rereading hasn't thrown any up. |

Assensing results for Flash: Happy, healthy, drug free, mundane. The only cyberware is a very small amount of headware.

Damn, I love playing with a group that can basically answer their own questions. Thank you all. Please accept 1 karma and 3 contact points for that. I'll let you know when you can spend it.
As to the ruling on Assensing vs. Facial Sculpt: I would rule that it is a magical disguise and therefore not helpful against assensing. However, the interpretation of that is up to the mage in question. Do they assume the physical is the mask or the astral or both. If that doesn't complete answer it, let me know. Oh, anyone who tries to assense the old man gets bupkis. I don't mean, you see a vanilla mundane, I mean you don't get anything. |

To throw another spanner in the works, kinesics this time.. QUOTE It also applies a +1 dice pool modifier to the adept on any Opposed Tests made to gauge the adept’s truthfulness or emotional state, including Judge Intention tests (p. 139), assensing for emotional state, and other magical and technological tests. In the meantime, Angel is definately Awakened (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

I don't think auras show metatype, and while astral form will likely look like your own metatype, it won't nessicarily. An Elf poser for example might think of themselves as being an Elf on the inside, and thus their astral form would look like an Elf instead of a Human. Edit: I just realized that we're in Alabama but no one has a southern accent it seems. Guess we're all out of towners (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) |

Angel does, I'm just not writing one. I'm going to have enough trouble throwing in the occassional Spanish without writing Southern too.
Edit: Angel can have any accent she feels like but does have a natural Alabama one that she's using now. When I start throwing in the odd bit of Spanish, she's speaking with her 'real' accent. |

Step is, Raven is human and Angel is currently masquerading as a human.
I can see I'm going to have to add in a current appearance line for each post (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

I would say that the "Flo" southern accent is as stereo typical as say Eubonics (and equally present mostly in pocket subcultures), but Pink Mohawk is about stereo types I guess. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Redjack is going to have to suffer my attempt at a Southern accent elsewhere, I'm not going to subject him to it twice (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
I'm actually a Londoner and I wouldn't dream of attempting a cockney one. |

I wasn't trying to persuade you not to use it. Just making a casual reference. Personally, country metaphors are a more common distinguishing trait where I live than a slow drawl, but we all love a southern belle with a slow drawl... and it does add flavor (belle or beau). It was more I don't want to be writing it (badly) twice. You'll get Spanish from Angel and "Texan" from Alice. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

@Alex: Because everyone has different views on that subject...
How would we classify the pay (4k) for such a job? Is that a typical rate? Or more than one would expect for a seemingly (so far) simple job? Not that such jobs ever are simple... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Bye Thanee P.S. Southern accent? Alas, that is not on my skill list. I basically only know about Y'all. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

Lots of things to catch up on so here we go:
Re: Matrix nodes As the elevator finishes its cycle, almost all nodes disappear. All that are left are the various commlinks from the team. There seems to be a very high end node near the Johnson. It seems like much more than the standard commmlink. In fact, it doesn't look like a commlink at all. Re: Payment For a group of 350BP street runners, this is good change. Sure you could boost cars for a bigger payday on a monthly basis; however, cars are more likely to get NOTICED where as most shadow runs go UNNOTICED and officially ignored. It is a good starting point. If you are running a higher lifestyle for whatever reason, then it may seem a little low. Re: Roleplaying You are all doing excellent. Re: Southern accents They can be hard to render well in print. I grew up in Alabama within 50 miles (~80 kilometers) of Tuscaloosa. I also went to college there. I can hear the accent even if you don't write it. Re: Y'all This is a little bit of a pet peeve of most Southerners, so don't take it personally. It is a contraction of "you all" and is thus written "y'all." In the likely event you wish to include everyone in the room, "y'all" is adequate; however, most people say, "all y'all." Anything I missed? |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Another one that I use a lot that makes non-southerns in stop in confusion is "Aaaauuuggghhhht!" This is generally directed at dogs or children and generally means "You aught not touch that"
