According to various sources, it's a major hangout for college football fans. What sport is filling that spot in 2070?
(Also, #1 mailorder bbq in in the US apparently) |

@Zyerne:
QUOTE What does Angel know about the area in question? Also, are there any go-gangs operating in the area? Intuition 3 + Local Area Knowledge 4 [6,4,5,4,2,1,6]= 3 hits The area is basically a ghetto. There is a huge troll and ork population. Specifically, it is the highest concentration of trolls in Tuscaloosa and one of the highest in Alabama. Most are un- or under-employed with those that have jobs working in manual labor or thug-style muscle. There are a few underground industries: mostly low grade BTLs and high grade chemical QUOTE Intuition 3 + Tuscaloosa Go-Gangs 4 [5,4,3,5,2,6,3]=3 hits There are two gangs in the area; however, only one qualifies as a go-gang, barely. The Sons of Thunder is a virtually all troll gang (a very tough ork can get in if he doesn't mind staying at the lower levels) who function much like the police for the area. The Southern Riders is a mostly ork go-gang that prides itself on poking T-MAP in the eye on a regular basis. This leads to confrontations with the Sons of Thunder as they will occasionally work with T-MAP to keep the area "safe" for those rich enough to pay and wanting to eat at Dreamland. QUOTE According to various sources, it's a major hangout for college football fans. What sport is filling that spot in 2070? College football is still being played and watched. However, urban combat has taken over as the number one sport. You can also watch Rural Combat a new CAS game where hunters ingest excessive quantities of alcohol and are told to hunt augmented feral pigs. The death toll is quite high with successful hunters retiring after three or four wins. QUOTE (Also, #1 mailorder bbq in in the US apparently) Yep. My doctor when I lived in Utah had the sauce flown in on a regular basis. |

@Fisty: You think anyone's actually going to take a vest? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I'm mostly wondering what the point of the vests is... offering us regular armor vests seems a little weird... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

@Fisty: You think anyone's actually going to take a vest? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) No, that's why I'm wondering why offer them. I can understand a run where gear is offered as part of the payment. But why put it out afterwords, and as was noted, after he'd said to keep things quiet. Heavier armor tends to encourage cowboy hijinks. And if they were good vests, there'd be the possibility. But one of them being described as being particularly ratty doesn't speak much for the bunch either. So why? Johnson is already pretty squirrely, and in a real hurry to get us out of there, and out the back. Don't like him, don't trust him. Although it's totally possible that we have a different expectation than Alex. But for someone savvy enough to have headware or maybe be a techno, and run a hack and sell a job at the same time, seems a little odd that he'd not manage things like giving the crew their money before he leaves. Alex: What kind of commlink is it? Are we talking disposable comm? Seems a bit much to leave a whole comm behind when he could route account numbers, or even leave certified cred on a stick. Maybe that's just me though. And I know I might be over analyzing, but isn't the name of the game functional paranoia? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Certainly for MITNick. One really paranoid member per team should cover for everyone else (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Yep, that's MITNick. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Glad he doesn't have much competition for the spot. He was the paranoid one for the last run he was in too. Seems to be his niche really.
This is actually a remake of the guy I played a while back. Started out as the noob in a group wit hserious street cred already. Had a bit of hero worship going on. That was until two of the team members got into a gun fight in thier hotel room with each other. No enemies, no nothing, just two idiots shooting at each other. MITNick took cover in the bath tub. Been pretty paranoid ever since. So now he pretty much keeps to himself. FLash is good by him though. |

Dreamland is awesome. I can attest to this fact (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Went to the original in '98 ('99?), was hooked ever since... They opened one in my hometown (Baton Rouge) but it died after about a year. What can I say, people are stupid there. |

And Flash has debts. He's thinking about the pawn value here. To hell with fence, these aren't stolen.

Clarification:
The tunnel is a little short for 'normal' sized folks. The troll will functionally be crawling. ---~~---~~--- Your Questions: Commlink is a standard, virtually throw-away model. Assensing the Johnson nets you nothing. It's as if he isn't there. Did I miss anything? ---~~---~~--- My Questions: @ Karoline: What exactly is Step doing with the interesting node. The way I'm reading it, you aren't doing anything. @ All: Where is everyone at this very moment. |

Ludo had walked over to the old man to receive the vest. After crawling outside he's still holding the vest (since he's already wearing one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ). He had moved over to talk to Step, hovering around her now a little bit.

My Questions: @ Karoline: What exactly is Step doing with the interesting node. The way I'm reading it, you aren't doing anything. @ All: Where is everyone at this very moment. That's exactly correct. And Step is outside, waiting for the rest of the group before she gives her little speech. |

QUOTE (sr4a @ pg220) As a safety precaution, simsense overrides your motor functions while you are in VR so that you don’t unknowingly move in the real world and potentially harm yourself or your surroundings. This means that your physical body is limp while you’re online, as if you were sleeping. With great difficulty, you can still perceive through your meat senses or move your physical body while in VR Great difficulty usually involves heavy penalties for actions in both the physical and the virtual.Alex - Do I need any sort of roll for searching the map for pawn shops? |
