Got you beat: English (Pirate Slang): 5 (7)

Oh, and he's a Dwarf who's playing a stereotypical pirate. Peg leg, hook hand and so forth.

Once I get some karma and we steal a library, I can research "Launch Dwarf" an improvement on Fling.

Large Mike-Aces. What Im service do you use? I'll send ya my character idea over it. As of right now, I'm thinking of being either a phys adept or a samurai. Since I'm kinda new to this, I'll just fill in for some muscle for the crew.

Do you still need players?
I read cyber pirates cover to cover last month, and then built a 6 man crew. I was gonna force them into my campaign as NPCs but if I could actually play one of them it would be a lot more fun :)
How 'bout a seal shifter? With demo?

As any of my players can tell you, I'm not a big fan of the 'fruity' character types. (Not my terminology, borrowed.) I'm a distinct non-fan of shifters, drakes, otaku, free spirits, cyberzombies and (usually) ghouls. So, you can submit one and hope that you have a cool enough character for it to pass, but it's not horribly likely.

And, if I were a seal, well, first I wouldn't be in the carib. Second, I would eat and bask in the sun all day, and maybe play with a ball. If I were a seal that could change shape to human, I'd do exactly the same thing. Maybe it's just me.

Grifter, I use MSN (large_mike_ca@hotmail.com).

Everyone else: Yes, I'm still accepting players. Send me crap until I make the OOC and IC threads. Do it! Do it now kids! Stick it to the man!

Well, guess what.

My character has 254835¥ to contribute to the gang. And thats after buying enough explosives to single-handedly destroy the Spanish Armada. Those things are ridiculously cheap.

Ah well.

It wasn't that big of a fleet.

That definately beats my 9,330 :nuyen:

About that 'enough explosives to single-handedly destroy the Spanish Armada'...

Actually, on second thought, keep the explosives. Your character is accepted as is.

So far, it's Yin, Yang, Johnny Molotov, and I swear there was one other.

So, is there or is there not a rigger?

I made a guy on the assumption that there was one. He's an orc mechanic/heavy weapons specialist. Goes by Greasy Louis. Mostly, he's Chewbaca looking for a Han :)

Just sticking together my pilot rigger, using NSRCG... not my preferred method but can't get hold of the mate who has all my books *8-< I'll hopefully be able to chuck it over to you in an hour or so.... background might take a little longer though..... maybe finished tomorrow *8->

Grrr.... NSRCG really can't do riggers.... *8-< I can chuck you a prototype for the character but I gotta get my rigger 3 back to finish it off..... well and check my cash.... *8-<

[edit] W00t! Gave NSRCG a good kicking and now it's working fine *8-> even calculating cash.... finally *8-> [/edit]

Assuming my character is accepted, Jas Laine Loren Mountjoy the XIV will be donating approximately 304,945¥ (possibly quite a bit more depending on how many Contacts I finally decide on) for the ship and crew. Most of that will be reflected in his ability to finagle a good deal at the many ports of the Caribbean more than a reflection of actual equipment or ship parts, as well as beguilling the most unsavory scallywags he can find to join our motley crew.

He's also invested in navigation and cartography gear, and has the skills to get us where we need to go.

Out of curiosity, are we going to be getting a single large ship or a group/fleet of smaller vessels like armed speedboats and jetskis?
