So then if I was wearing jeans and a long sleeve shirt, I could attack a PPP system to it? What if I was wearing said clothes with PPP under my chameleon suit with external PPP system, would I then get the bonus from both PPP systems?

Since the body suit has to be custom made, and the RAW does state that those 3 makes are not the only designs ("available in at least three styles") they would it not be possible to have a PPP system integrated into the suit at the time of its making? Considering that the Inquiline Protocol knows the exact capabilities of its Otomo, and knows exactly where the fabric would have to stretch most, and where it could afford lesser flexibility, I think pieces of the PPP system could have been integrated at the time of its creation.

I won't push the point further after this, if you say no, I will accept.

The reason you wouldn't get the bonus for both sets is because of the armor stacking rules - to which there is only a single unique exception in form-fitting body armor.

As for your second point, that is covered under the armor custimization rules - pay for gel-packs if you want to increase the armor rating of the form-fitting body armor without losing the unique exception to the armor stacking rules.

I wish I had my IM running right now, but I'm just on my lunch break at work and its computer doesn't have AIM.

Question, if I get a industrial automotive shop, could it not be rigged, for the purpose of working on the Otomo body? Same goes for a cybertechnology shop?

Also, would the contact Sierra Cope sell ammo or do weapon mods?

Could you please elaborate a bit on your personal view of the distinction between a connection 3 and a connection 4 contact?

Thanks!

1) I'd say that for a shop designed to let you work on both the Otomo drone and the cyber-components you installed in the drone's arms, you don't need to buy both an industrial mechanic shop and a cybertech shop - instead, just pay 7500 and we'll say that your full industrial shop also includes just enough cybertech tools to work on those components as well. That should save you some money.

2) Sierra is an armorer and hardware specialist. She sells weapons, armor, ammunition, etc (specializing in longarms), and she also does custom mods to weapons. Her shop is usually pretty busy, as a lot of runners and mobsters use her, but she's one of the best in the plex.

3: Basically, use the following chart which is a little more concise than the one in the book - also, connections more represent power than who they know... a street bum might know a lot of people, but can't get them to do squat for him, so he'd be connection 1:
Connection 1: street bum
Connection 2: Localised sub-culture-wide connections (IE: the Ancients in the Redmond Barrens)
Connection 3: District-wide connections (IE: a detective assigned to a particular district)
Connection 4: Organization-wide connections (IE: mafia or yakuza made-man, etc... but limited to within the plex with occassional connections in other cities)
Connection 5: Continent-wide connections
Connection 6: Global connections

Hopefully that helps.

Ok, Loyalty:

1: I know your name and that you aren't a cop
2: I know that you are reasonable and that I can expect repeat business from you
3: I like you, don't see you enough so its more a working relationship, but I actually like you.
4: You're my friend - we go to the movies, clubbing, etc sometimes... I know that if I'm drunk and need a ride, I can call you.
5: You're one of my closest friends... you're the one I call when I need a shoulder to cry on, the one I'd trust to take care of my kids if I get killed tomorrow. Perhaps you are my significant other.
6: I would die to protect you... and I might make sacrifices to protect you without letting you know that I made sacrifices, because I wouldn't want you to feel bad... you're not just my friend, you are a true comrade - or perhaps I love you... real, unconditional love.

Just as an addendum to my post above, loyalty is a two-way street - if the NPC doesn't feel it is being reciprocated, then their loyalty may drop. Loyalty may also go up if you treat the contact well and go out of your way to help them out or just be a chummer and invite them to to a party once in a while.

The post I just made to the IC thread is the second part of a prologue setting up the overall plot - there won't be another such piece until part II begins.

Oh happy joy! The bloody deed is done. Character finished. A few notes to follow, and how equiptment is set up and the like, and also I will soon post a couple of wish lists-> things I have asked my contacts to keep an eye open for on my behalf. You notice I already have one for ammo.
Thank you all for your paitence.

EDIT: the total BP spent on skills is not 138, thats is an old number I didn't update, but the BP balances. Likewise, the subtotal given before my equiptment list stats (the one about 20k over the limit) is no longer accurate. Everything balances. Also, I spent 9 karma on gear, and have 8 karma left over.

ERRATA:
The Codeblock is for the Corrupt matrix action.

The name of Sadie's Agent is James Yvres

Incorrect subtotals have been removed

Sally ID has a hold-out license, not a pistol lisence.

ID background added

Lifestyle detail corrected.

Some More Ammo dropped
Forgotten Sensor Software added

Righty oh! I've got a pile of questions and rolls I need results from for my response to the call. BTW, I'm having WAY too much fun coming up with independent actions... we need to get underway before I create a whole adventure just for myself. ^_^

1) As Dimitri leaves Luna's Cafe, he'll try to spot any tails and will put effort into losing any tails there may be, visible or not.

2) He's going to be looking for someone to pickpocket, and will proceed to shadow them in order to find a good time to preform said nefarious deed.

3) He will disguise himself to look like his alter-ego Joe Smingleton and will go the the Castle in the Sky to look over the place and to see if he can spot the Ms. Johnson when she arrives.

Now, I need the following:
1) any results and outcomes that may come from these actions.
2) see #1
3) What he sees, who he recognizes, and how much an average meal would cost.

@Mickle
1) You spot no tails and are fairly certain you weren't followed
2) You follow a fat mafioso (you were in Puyallup city after all) and pick pocket a dead-tree newspaper off of him... when you are out of sight and open it up, you see that it was rolled around a bloody (literally, not a Britishism) razor blade - the straight folding sort that used to be used for shaving in the 1800s, but today is mainly used by re-enactors and murderers... why a fat putsy guy had it, you don't know.
3) The Castle in the Sky restaurant is a standalone building downtown, its ground level footprint is the size of a lobby and has several elevators... the rest is a shaft taller than almost all the rest of the city allowing one to view most of the district from above (though the Ares building and several other buildings are taller, they are far enough away not to disrupt the view and rather give a nice skyline). The building expands into a saucer shape at the top, which you assume is the actual restaurant - which itself is several levels high, and then there is a glass domed, smaller, top level. On the first level of the saucer, a helipad juts out on either side, giving the whole building the general shape of an ornate cross. However, you don't make it to the elevator (yet). As you enter (I assume this is around 1:30 AM, as you spent a lot of time with shadowing, pickpocketing, disguising, losing tails, etc). When you approach the entrance, you note that there are two troll doormen in victorian British Guard uniforms (complete with funny hats and flintlock rifles) standing at attention, and there is a human host standing at the red carpet entrance (with awning leading to the sidewalk, actual red carpet, velvet rope cordons, etc). The host is an older British-looking gentleman in a red victorian suit - double breasted with a multitude of brass buttons and long coat-tails. He is wearing a round monacle on the tip of his nose, and looks down at you when you walk up as he says "I'm sorry, sir, but this establishment requires a reservation" He smirks "And you, sir are most certainly not on the list." If you argue (assuming you don't mention the H. Chaplin party), he'll basically act like Bruce Campbell's character from the Spiderman movie (the guy at the theatre who wouldn't let Peter Parker in to see Mary Jane's performance) and be incredibly insulting without breaking the British Gentleman persona... if you get pushy, he'll snap his fingers for the trolls - at which point your post would need to end so that I can make the GM response. If you DO mention the H. Chaplin party, he will instantly become apologetic and subservient, but will instruct you to either wait in the lobby until your party is called to the elevator by the human operator at the reservation time (the lobby is a plush neo-victorian affair that is the equivalent of High-lifestyle ammenities, complete with an open bar though no food... I'll be describing it more fully in my GM post, which assumes that PC posts end when you get past the Host and into the lobby) or that you return no sooner than 2:45, as your reservation is for 3:00. If you want to try to sneak in, you'll need to make an IC post up to that point, post your roll here, and await my response.

As for prices etc, asking for a price-list from the employees gets the laughed at "if you have to ask, you can't afford it" response. Doing a datasearch (1) test pulls up a review... apparently an appetizer is 500 nuyen... and a full meal can run more than two grand.... this is a luxury lifestyle type restaurant.

As for security, with your perceptive abilities you notice that there are MAD AND cyberware scanners discreetly built into the entranceway, the trolls' rifles are disguised assault rifles, and it isn't difficult to surmise that the host has a mental panic button given the small fiberoptic cable running from his temple to under his coat - discreetly disguised as a monacle line of course.

Alright, so of course I have found a few small mistakes in my sheet. Nothing big. I just gave one ID the wrong class of gun license, and also need to flesh out the backstory for a few of the IDs a bit better. I will get you the errata and hopefully an IC tomorrow.
Cheers!

Sorry I haven't posted the next GM post yet, I was going to tonight after I finished my work for tomorrow, but its already 1am, and I just now finished - so it'll be tomorrow. (Shame how work piles up when you have to go out of town for a couple of days unexpectedly... BLEH).

Fortunately, this gives Raxle and Trigger a little more time to play catch-up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Oi, I've been in contact with Scope and, unfortunately, she has been inundated with a whole pile of problems. However, she has indicated that, sometime in the near future, she would like to actually get this game going. Ergo, If you're still interested in participating, sound off so that we know who we still have.
