If that's the case, I have no problems bowing out (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (If you guys don't mind some tag alongs, I would still love to play.)

Hm... an enlisted game... I'm interested. Some game ideas that leap to mind as runnable:
-Blue Planet SR4, ~250-300 bp. Players are junior enlisted aboard an orbital assault ship (read: dropship) which is part of a peacekeeping task force. Things go pear shaped and the players are stranded far behind enemy lines when war breaks out. BP is ostensibly hard sci-fi so no technomancers or magic. The rest maps fairly easily. Loyal sailors/soldiers? Mercs? Humanitarians? Survivalists? It's up to the players to choose their path on a planet where the wildlife is as dangerous as the war itself. -Mercs! SR4, ~450-500 bp. Killing for money never really goes away. Players will be the core of a Merc company that travels the world doing bad things to "bad" people for vast sums of certified cred. Game will initially start in the Yucatan during the revolution and players will have a number of different factions to appeal to for cash and prizes. =>Valkyrie 1-7 SR4, ~400-450 bp. A variant on the Merc game it focuses on a Yucatan rebel medical unit that provides battlefield evacuation. Think of it as "Doctor's With Guns But Without Borders". It's not all warm and fuzzy humanitarian of the year work of course. Lot of those Azzie's and rebs have cyber in em and the war makes it hard to import that sort of thing... probably get a good price on what you can salvage. Players are well trained but poorly supplied and authorized to make a profit wherever they can. They'll be less rolling opposed social rolls to negotiate and more plotting to knock over Azzie supply convoys. -Not So Subtle Madness SR4, 300-350 bp. X-Files with move-by-wire and enhanced articulation. There are things that go bump in night and there are things that go bump in the night because that's the sound they make after their nervous system shutsdown. Low-Medium setting in Seattle and abroad. You guys aren't the Holy Churches right hand but you certainly know how to smack around some ghouls. My preference is to run Blue Planet, NSSM, or V 1-7. A fun, somewhat mindless, and passingly tactical merc game has it's merits too. Once a week + sounds like a reasonable posting schedule and once I get back stateside (ETA 3 months) I'd be willing to run a couple hours a week of chat based gameplay as well. If you all want the NSSM game to have some enlisted flair I have a couple workarounds including making the players part of the "High Threat Animal Control Team" |

I am definitely feeling Not So Subtle Madness...though would a hacker still be reasonable, or should I build someone more combat oriented?

I am definitely feeling Not So Subtle Madness...though would a hacker still be reasonable, or should I build someone more combat oriented? I'm not very good at the whole hacking thing and I don't have easy access to Unwired so I'd say you should probably think of something a little less hacker oriented. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It doesn't necessarily have to be combat oriented since there will be a fair amount of investigation and CSI silliness. But you guys are Animal Control types (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Hacking a corps AI is probably not going to happen all that often but busting a maglock or running a 'trix search about that THING that is ripping your van door off might have it's uses. But yeah, a dedicated hacker is going to feel cheated in my games but a person with hacking skills will definitely have a place. |

I'm thinking about a trainee mage, first job out of community college. I could probably post more often than once a week, if you wanted to up the pace. Chat might be a problem, but we can burn that bridge when we come to it. |

Wow... I really wasn't all that excited about this until the image of a community college mage came to mind. I think that this game will definitely be more fun at a lower power level 300-350 sounds about right (I'll have to look at RC about the whole karmagen thing. That seems to be making people happy)
Now it's glorious, it's like that street sweeper story you sent me the other day. I have this image of the players strapping flak and kevlar on over their "City Animal Control" jumpers (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Oh yes... I feeling this. Anyone else interested? If I can get one more I'll start a new thread and start pimping it to the public. |

With a mage already in, what do you say to a (mystical) adept private eye type character? |

And how about a gunslinger adept with a thing for parazoology(possibly a current student of it, or a recent dropout)? Or is that too magicy, with two others who also want to play awakened characters?

Is there still room in this one? If so, im up for it.
Ive got a melee specialist street sam who's decent at stealth, or can come up with something else as needed. |

I've been itching for a game for a while now, and with me going to sea it actually makes for more ability to post. Odd, eh? Could fit to role, though I tend to like Social/Savant Adept types...

Count me in too, as a combat adept if possible, but I can pull any role but matrix and face.

Alright so I'm hearing 6 names for Not So Subtle Madness? I guess I can skip the advertising ;p
Stared new "Not So Subtle Madness" thread in Welcome to the Shadows section. Post in the thread so I can make sure we're all tracking here. |

Well there's always room for one more, go ahead and post in the new thread, you'll be at the top of the waiting list but I might be willing to squeeze you in if things work out how I imagine.
