As your friendly GM I have three things for you.

1. I am not exactly what you would call "competent" at the Matrix rules. I usually just handwave/NPC them. If you want to play a Matrix character I'm going to trust you to direct me towards the relevant rules.
2. That said, a data processing hacker would be very very interesting, especially if you combined him with the motivation of your first idea (Digital to astral). I'll just say that you'll find you have a bit to be doing all the time.
3. And the team needs a comm/tech guy so you'd be very welcome I believe.

Agreed. The tech man and comms man is needed. Badly.

Alrighty... I have refined the concept to create an Aspected Conjuration Mystical Adept, following a personalized version of the Chaos Tradition, with Adversary as his mentor. Oh, and he's a Savant Adept...

His Hacking skills are going to be focused on information gathering for the most part, and I don't see him having actually hacked too much, he's more of an explorer on the Matrix.

He can't Astrally Project being an Adept, or perceive even, but I'm thinking somewhere in his past he had a freak encounter with some form of astral construct, perhaps was pulled into a rift, and he was fascinated by it.... thus he developed an addiction to Deep Weed, to experience it again (until he eventually Initiates, and get the Perception power).

He's perhaps my most "out there" concept to date... and having recently liberated myself from the shackles of homework I'm undergoing a fit of creativity... should be at least roughed out today...

Sounds cool. No astral perception as well. That's gonna be funny. Lots of watcher summoning to get told what's going on in the astral. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I don't have the 4th ed of street magic. Did they keep the detection spell that lets one scan an aura? Perhaps I should switch that one in.

I'm thinking this guy's gonna be all about Task spirits that can program for him... *nod* Like having his own spiritual wage-slaves... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

There is an Analyze Magic spell, that allows aura reading, but doesn't confer astral sight...

Alright so I have most of your character concepts in hand, I'd like to kick this game off by the end of the week RL permitting on my end.

Still waiting on character sheets for Mickle5125 and Digital Heroin (Mickle5125 I have your sheet but go ahead and post it when you put your 50+ questions up).

I feel it will be. He's blessed uys with the gods of Something Aful, and everyone knows Goons are either amazing or so neckbearded that children try to 'hug the bear'

Electronic sheet's in the works... I was working on details on paper, as I tend to do, and passed out for a day...

This guy's personality is churning out, and the fifty'll come a lot easier now... gonna be fun, trying to get in the head of a kid who studies esoteric mathematics and ancient cults, speaks Sumerian, is addicted to the Matrix... and loves to go to strip clubs...

Sorry it took so long to get this up. It's kinda hard to build a mage for 300 BP.

BP fragged myself, sorting out a few things... I got overzealous on the flaws, ended up with -20 (not counting the Day Job), but forgot the usual limit is 25 for pos and negative, so I need to scrape 25 BP off my monster concept...

Nice character.

Also, is it sad, or awesome when character research includes watching Metalocolypse?

I really want to make a 500 bp Nathan Explosion character sheet and use him as a contact in a game one of these days (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I'm probably going to start an "Official" OOC thread when we kick the game off proper. I'll have everyone post their character sheets at the top of that thread so they'll be availible for easy reference and updating. You can update your char sheet then.
