I'll take it under consideration, but I'm sure we will with the understanding that if it get abused I'll reck havoc.

All I had in mind was adding in every speed boosting upgrade possible (that I don't have yet). Perhaps even a nitro booster for good measure.

Oenone: If you can list the speed boosting upgrades I'll see if I'll allow it.
Crizh: I see an issue with ECM but only in it's range not function. I think that it was done in tensional so that you couldn't blanket a 1 Mm (Megameter) spherical area. The function is straight forward, Subtract it rating from sensors and/or signal ratings. I hope that helps. Brent |

The ECM does have one big advantage and one big flaw. On top of everything already mentioned.
The advantage being you can kidnap people a whole lot easier with it. Because the ECM will stop anyone sending messages with an internal commlink or via an RFID tag. The disadvantage being it's pretty freaking obvious you've got a toy you shouldn't have.... As for the speed boosts.... Technically they're acceleration boosts. Three more levels of Turbobooster and Engine Customization Acceleration. Maybe Nitrous Injection too but that might be pushing it on added slots. Of course this will require getting the nuyen for it all, which might take a while. |

Right, I've been looking at the availability ratings with restricted and frobidden thinking that there is a good role-playing oppitunity there. As far as the ECM I've been thinking about it and I can see a handheld ECM only having a 50m area but a vehicle powered ECM should have a larger footprint. I'm doing some research on them to see what the RL versions footprints are.
With the Turbobooster and Engine Customization - Acceleration I'm fine and the Nitro would be fine too if you have the slots and/or the stuff to get done. |

Just with a quick look around a handheld Jammer is 3-20m footprint. Now a vehicle (EA-6B Prowler) can cover Horizon to Horizon which at operation altitude is less then 1,000 km in all directions. So clearly a vehicle ECM is more powerful, and given my example is a miltary unit but it does point out the idea.

I don't have any slots left. So everything from now on requires full on GM approval and most likely fairly tricky rolls to fit.

Well with Nitro I'd approve it, because really all your doing is running some lines, doing some ports, and bottle of Nitro some were. but you'd need a Shop, 5,000 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) and 16 threshold that's not to bad.

I give advance warning, I've been awake for 24 hours now and probably won't have time to sleep before we run.
So I might be a little brain dead for which I apologise. (We had an all night Shadowrun session followed by some computer technical issues which took considerably longer than I expected.) |

I've been having some technical troubles which seem to be getting worse.
Not sure if I'll fix them, but if I suddenly go quiet and don't post anything in the near future that'll be why. I've been having some technical troubles which seem to be getting worse. I'm hoping to get things fixed soonish and might be able to manage weekly posts, but I wanted to give everyone a warning incase the worst happens. - On a lighter note, what do our reports need to include? And when are they due by? Because I have no clue what to put in one and am likely to need sleep in the next hour. |

Sure am.
I'm good for this Sunday. After that I've no idea when I can next play for sure. Are you wanting to put up an IC thread for the Denver characters downtime? I spent all afternoon working on Granny's Matrix node and I kinda wanted to publish it. The original campaign there were some things up in the air at the end of the last session. Power Points for initiation for example. You weren't sure whether or not you wanted to permit Adepts to get two PP's per point of Magic after Chargen or whether PP's in exchange for Metamagic should be doubled. I was thinking about it and it will get extremely difficult to track after chargen particularly how you handle Magic loss. Perhaps if your first six points of Magic gave you 2 PP's each and then you could get 1PP per Metamagic you don't take. That way as you initiate you can still gain 2PP per point of Magic gained, one from initiation and one from increasing your Magic stat above six. I was also going to beg for leniency on the Availability for Gecko's new Muscle Toner. He already has Muscle Toner 4 that he got using the Restricted Gear Quality. I was wondering, seeing as he is taking out one implant and replacing it with the same one at a higher grade if you might consider allowing him to simply re-assign his Restricted Gear Quality to the new Muscle Toner. Wouldn't make it any cheaper but he'd get it straight away. Otherwise he's giving up 5BP for nothing. |

I'm waiting word so see what our next assignment will be from there I'll fire up a Denver thread.
Yes, after thinking about it adepts will get double power points up to there Magic 6 attribute after which you get one for rising you magic rating and a bonus for initiation (in lieu of metamagic). Am I understanding correctly that your upgrading your muscle toner 4 from standard to say alpha? And you'd like to use your Restricted Gear Quaility for it instead of that standard Availability. I can see that but I making sure I understand your question first. Thanks, Brent |

With your backstory was anything esle tied in with this restricted gear quaility?
I'm fine with it but there will be a story with it, and I'm working on that now. Brent |

That was the reason for buying a skilled Cyber-doc as a contact. That was where he got the first set and he'd always made plain to the Doc his intention to upgrade as soon as he could afford it.
I wasn't really clear on how contacts worked at the time. Looking at the rules now I don't think I would have given him such a high connection Rating. It only makes him more difficult to contact and more expensive to get anything from. As far as i can tell, using the Street Doc template, he's only got 10 Dice to locate 'ware and he charges 25% for the privilege. A Connection 1 fixer would have 11 Dice and would only charge 5%. |

Keep in mind with the low rating fixer you have to find someone to fit the 'ware too and they'll charge a fee on top of the 5%. Plus the street doc is going to have access to the higher level medical facilities which you'd need for betaware and above.

I kinda figured when I was designing him that Connection 5 would be enough to run or work in a Delta-clinic.
I would have been better to make my fixer 5/1 instead of 1/5. That way I would always be able to get hold of him and while it might take longer to find stuff it only cost 5% extra. Lesson learned. Won't be making that mistake again. |
