Allright, everyone, character submissions are now closed. I know I said I'd post the winning entries on friday...but I'm impatient, so here they are! For those that did not make it, it was not a personal attack or that you made bad characters. I simply tried to pick the characters that would mesh the best.
Tanka: Olanis Andross , a big troll cybergrunt who'll be very hard to sneak up on and understands security/police/swat tactics! 3Threes: Wil, a human combat decker with an equipment list and contact list a mile long and a knack for languages! Glyph: Dub D, a deceptively rough and tumble combat sorcerer favoured by Dragonslayer. Maxxi: Jamal Robins , a human hermetic magician with adaptability and an elf complex. Kevyn668: Rook, a human runner with a good grasp of mundane abilities that seems to get along with everyone, fits in anywhere and can duke it out with the best of 'em. Now, since you all have a Karma Pool of 2, if you wish to put some into a Team Karma Pool that's cool with me, but I'll need a consensus. I'm sure you all know what it is, but basically, put your karma into a team fund that anyone in the team can draw on, like a joint bank account. You have less for yourself, but the team as a whole has greater resources to draw on. ANy questions before I get things rolling either tomorrow night or Saturday? |

Sweet!! Looks like a good team. I noticed we don't have a rigger...Does anyone have a van or something?
About your start date: I'm going to be away from my computer until Sunday late afternoon or early evening EST. Is that a major problem? I might have access to one but I'll e visiting friends and I'm not sure. If anyone want to chat it up you can reach me on AIM. Kevyn668 is my tag there, as well. Or PM me. I'll be online for a few more hours, |

I think it would be a good idea if we each put a point in. That way, we would still have a point each for ourselves, but would have 5 points in a pool that someone could draw from if it was an emergency.

Thats what I was thinking. Anyone disagree?
Do we want to post Characters or otherwise discuss abilities? Mikey said we've worked together for a while. |

I agree with the 1 team karma (if my mage gets accepted)
I also think that sharing relevant info would be a good idea. Mostly what our character wants people to know, and key abilities. |

posting Wil
Wilbur Taft Edwards Human Mundane Caucasian Male Red Hair with Hazel Eyes Average Height and Build High Body, Quickness Intelligence and Willpower Above Average Charisma - Consistently Likeable and Friendly without any annoying quirks Average Strength for a Human Wired for Quicker than normal reflexes Has a professional attitude towards working in the shadows. He tries to treat it as a business as much as possible. Prefers stealth over violence. Uses an Ingram when violence is necessary. Boxes a little in his spare time, but not enough to be competitive. Has plenty of friends and works hard to keep up friendships and keep in touch. Used to work as matrix/RL security for some club downtown, getting involved peripherally in the business through that and later deciding to hook up with a team he felt was going places. Well trained in First Aid. Likes to gamble, mostly card games, but he is really into Urban Brawl and sometimes bets on those games. Keeps up to date on fashion/music/movie trends and info. Drives an irridescent grey sports car and wears name brand clothes. Usually wears reflective olive green shades that only a red-head could pull off without looking bad. Lives in a very nice condo with a private garage in one of the nicer parts of Bellevue. He keeps alot of his running gear hidden there (lots of gadgets, electronics and computer gear). Everywhere you go he seems to know somebody or at least have a friend of a friend who knows them. Wil has a zealously guarded good reputation in the 'business.' |

Wow, either my mother smoked too much pot while she was pregnant, or I have fetal alcohol syndrome. Okay, sorry, I totally glazed over that post like a donut.
Here's the lowdone on Jamal- I'll follow ThreesThreesThrees (3threes :D ) format. Jamal Oggun Robins Awakened Human African-American (His nose probubly betrays the fact he's part Sioux) Average Height, Wiry Build Bald Headed w/ Feathered Serpent Tattoo on his scalp, Grey Eyes (tattoos around them mostly of tiny sigils), his arms also display a number of tattoos some Aztec, some Voodoo related. They cut off around mid arm though, so he can cover them with long sleeves. He usually tends to dress in all black during runs. Average Body, Strength, Quickness, and Charisma Extreme Intelligence, and Willpower Oddly laid back about working in the shadows. To him it's just a part of life, a long with teaching Chemistry and doing research. It's all part of life to him. He generally speaks towards stealth, although he's been known to walk to the beat of a different drummer if it's a metahuman, especially an elf, or if it's a magical item. Doesn't talk about his past, and seems to have picked up running in the shadows more as an odd job, then something nessary. Is well enough trained in magic, which tends to be showy, perhaps a facet of his personality plays into his magic. He been known to toss manabolts, and heal, although he prefers to use his magic for spying or controlling other people. Brags alot, it could be about magic, it could be about how well he did on the run. It doesn't really matter, he has skills that other people can only dream of, why NOT brag? Tends to eat expensive food, which further strains his wallet. At the same time he's a vegetarian, which he claims lets him work his powers better. Tends to curse in Salish quite often, and tends to generally mock Elves in their "native" language when he sees them. Owns a Yamaha Bike, which is painted with all sorts of symbols for some random go-gang, Jamal claims he bought it. Usually wears a obsidian jaguar pendant, and a feathered serpent wrist band. Lives in a small apartment outside of the downtown area, where he keeps his few important material possessions. He's also known to keep another safe house, and expresses a distrust for the governments sporadic use of hard currency and is known to occasionally fence bricks of gold or gems for money rather then use a credstic. Rather long, I know, but he tends to talk alot. |

Dub D (Jason Farland), Male Human Sorcerer (Shamanic/Dragonslayer Totem)
Attributes - He is skinny and not very strong, but fast and tough enough, and about average Charisma-wise. High Intelligence and Willpower, obviously. Skills - Jason is a capable sorcerer, with an academic bent to his skills, although he can also run and sneak well enough, and while he is no face, at least you can take him to a meet and expect him to behave himself. Spells - You know that he uses combat spells a lot, although he can also heal, and he has a spell that increases his speed. You also know, or at least suspect, that he has some foci to boost his abilities even more. Physical Description - Jason is a tall, thin, intense man. He has sandy hair, cropped short, with a short goatee, and sea-green eyes. He has fair skin, with a few freckles. He looks stylish in a slightly old-fashioned way when well-dressed, but somewhat nerdy when wearing more casual clothing. His foci are discreet - he doesn't go for the "Geek me, I'm a mage" look. He has a detached, analytical way of speaking, with a bit of a tendency to babble sometimes. He is slightly hyperactive, either pacing or drumming his fingers whenever he has to wait for awhile. Personality - You know that Jason is still a bit of an idealist, although experience has beaten the naivity and recklessness out of him. He can give others the impression that he is an absent-minded professor with his head in the clouds. Actually, though, he is very steady under fire. |

Sloan Rourke goes by Rook to people outside of his immediate circle. (He'll tell you the name comes from his real name being similar to the chess piece--actually, its a shortend version of the original: "Rookie"--from his gang days)
Human. Caucasian. Light brown hair usually worn short. Grey/green eyes. Athletic build--lean, but very well defined. Gang tat on right bicep. Snake biting its tail Tat on his left shoulderblade. Sharp wits, tough fists, fast feet. Will think things through but has no problem resorting to violence if it suits his needs. He's definately an "the ends justifies my means" sort of fellow. Growing up in the sprawl has shown him violence and dealth are a natural part of the cycle. Has had some body mods and reflex work done, its rather sublte, in addition to eyes (natural looking). He runs the Shadows because thats what he's good at. He's getting a little older now (well, not really but back in the gang days he would have considered himself ancient) and is starting to think about exactly where his life is going... |
