Jamal is going to use Clairvoyance to inspect the street.
Now let's see if I understand me Shadowrun rules. Okay, Target Number is 6 Using Six dice from his Sorcery skill to cast the spell and adding in an additional 3 dice. For a total of nine dice. 4, 3, 6, 4, 6, 2, 1, 1, 4 That's two success. Now for the Drain Roll 2(M) Willpower6 4, 2, 6, 6, 3, 4 So haha, Drain has no power over me!! |

Dub D had already cast the Heal spell. First aid won't heal him any more. However, once you get to a place you can stop, likely you would check on his injury anyway. You got one success, enough to have him able to heal up without being in a hospital as long as the proper lifestyle is maintained and to diagnose how long it'll take to heal up. Glyph, go ahead and make that body test to see how long it takes ya to heal.
Kevyn, the ork would take a punch so he could live. That's an auto do to RP situation. Pull out a gun and that mighta been different. 3Threes, The decker's a little disoriented and scared as heck. WHen you look outside, there's no people in sight. Shops across the street have their doors locked and closed signs up. You can hear sirens and what sounds vaguely like the distant noise of a rotor getting louder by the moment. Maxxi, The street immediately out front is clear. SHopkeepers are peeking out their closed shops' windows. A couple are even on the phone while rubbernecking. |

THat was exaggeration. He did stun damage to him...but it was a troll, so he was down for the count.

Glyph, that 1 success lets ya heal without medical attention. Now, ya get to roll another body test at target number 8, unless someone has a street doc they want to make use of, in which case the target number will be 6 assuming Jamal is willing to be on tap for the entire healing time. Healing time is 20 days to go to a moderate wound divided by the number of successes. Then when yer in moderate, roll again.

Assuming that the scan turned up all clear:
*turns on LowLight or Thermo if needed. *Did I mention I holster the Browning? Well, I do. Perception to see if Clairvoyance missed anything (no offense, Jamal ;) ): 1 3 3 5 9 Perception to find an appropriate vehicle (van, SUV, station wagon, etc.): 1 3 4 4 17 Stealth to get to said vehicle: 1 1 4 4 5 Perception to see if anyone is around: 1 2 3 8 8 Electronics(B/R) to get in, I have the toolkit in my shoulder bag: 1 2 2 3 (errr, well I can always break the window...) Electronics to get it going: 1 7 17 (thats better) Car to back it down the alley (I can use a datajacklink if the car equiped): 1 1 3 4 (how hard can it be...?) Did I miss anything? This plan will be aborted and restructured if something doesn't go according to plan. Ya know, like if the Star shows up.... |

By the way, despite being more or less just luggage at this point, Dub D will still go ahead and activate his other two foci, just in case any more trouble happens along the way. He doesn't have much to contribute to the discussion right now, but once they reach (comparatively) safe ground he will ponder what they can all do next - he has a few contacts who could be useful.

Glyph, that's 2 successes, cutting the time it takes to go down to a moderate wound to 10 days. With three dice that did not succeed, long odds on reducing to less time and not much time would be cut off anyway, but if ya wanna spend karma for rerolls go ahead.

Not I. I wasn't even planning on driving. :D
However, if it comes down to it, I can default from Reaction (5 (7) without (with) Reflexes on). |

Hey, I just thought of something. LOTGM, did you add Dub's bonuses for his Attributes in to the modifiers? He gets -1TN for Body of 5, and -2 TN for Willpower of 7. He also gets a +2 penalty for being awakened, but if he gets either long-term magical care or intensive care, that would bring the TN down to 5, wouldn't it? Which would make them all successes, which would reduce his healing time down to 4 days. Of course, he may not be able to get that kind of care. If he can, though, then he'll heal a lot quicker.
Either way, I don't think I'll waste a Karma point re-rolling 3 dice hoping for 6's. |

It WOULD lower it to five...if the doctor was to ignore your awakened status. If yer willing to risk losing a magic point. I was assuming that was not the case.
Clarification. I apply the rule of one on rolls higher than six as well. That means if you roll a 6, followed by a one, it remains a 6. I should have mentioned that. Sorry guys. I apply it to the bad guys as well as the good guys. |

Pretty much. It always bothered me that seven was supposed to be harder to reach than six but if ya rolled a six you automatically made a 7...kinda took some of the randomness/risk out of it.

This is true. Which is why I think most of the tables had 6/7 as the TN, since they were one and the same.

And Dub would definitely NOT want to risk his magical status, especially over a serious but not lethal wound.
