Prices for that and other Military-Grade Armor Enhancements can be found in the compiled tables at page 182.
And the rules are in it's description, it adds it's rating to characters strengt ingnoring limits on augmented atribute.

In 2070 you don't need eyes for porn, you just need a trode net and a simsense unit.

You know, with the ubiquity of trode nets and VCR's, I don't understand why they don't just build military armor as hollow anthroform drones with a wired-only connection to the pilot via datajack.

Just mod it for hot sim and give it a simsense booster, and the pilot's physical attributes become utterly superfluous - and he gets 5 Initiative Passes.

Well... In Runner Havens, they do make mention of the fact that Ares is up to something much like that. On page 15, one of the Shadowtalkers posts that Ares is building armored exoskeletons and have been secretly testing them in Kowloon Walled City... It's just a rumor but hell, pretty scary if it's true.

It surprises me that it's not done already, take a milspec armor, add mobility and strenght upgrades, use the same software used in cyberlimbs and add a vehicle control rig (to interface the armor dirctly to the movement centers), maybe some touch sensors to make the movement more natural and some autoiniectors and you have turned your regular armor in an early Mjolnir from the halo-verse.

If you build in weapons and put on a jump pack* then you would have a Knight Saber Hard Suit.

* = with Shadowrun tech I think that you could build a jet pack capable of make short thruster assisted jumps

Iron Man could be approximated by taking a Tomino and adding a rigger cocoon, but that would be more of Iron Monger.

Rigger Cocoon in a Tomino... damn why did I never think of that. Looks like my current Drone Rigger just got a new in game goal in life. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif)

On a side note, I love the Tomino's name. As a pop culture reference it leaves me wanting to scream "Oh no it's a GUNDAM!" and laugh to myself hysterically every time I see it's name. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rotfl.gif)

I'm currently playing a Mage that really needs to get retired. Mostly because he's borrowed shtick from iron man ( flying power armor), Dr. Oc ( articulated arms), Dr. Doom (super magical and technical aptitude and doesn't leave his armor), and venom ( the suit is possessed with an tainted spirit).

Question about MilSpec in General: Can you install Stuff like Skimmer discs in it and if so, are there any rules for such stuff?
If not, how would you handle the Armor Modification of such Cyberlimb Mods?

Rigged military armor? The cheapest platform with the desired mobility (besides cheating and using a rotordrone) is the MCT-Nissan Doberman. Walker, weapon mount, four slots. Add Rigger Cocoon, Armor, Signature Masking 2.

Tomino is an atroform, a drone with a body shaped after metahuman shape and using similar propulsion method (limbs), It's not a suit of armor, the space within its shell is filled by its interal workings, it can be adapted to contain a CCU so probably a head can fit in but the rest of the body? Rigger Cocoon is meant to be installed on vehicles or drones large enough that can be converted into vehicles. So unless you get your brain extracted from your body and fitted into a CCU no Tomino armor suit for you.

I'd go even further than AllTheNothing and say that drones aren't designed to carry passengers, internally or externally. Rigger Cocoon or not, you can't fit inside a Doberman.

Which suffers somewhat from the medium drones that are designed to carry passengers. I agree that the "Doberman" would become a walking rigger cocoon with gun on top, but it could be done.
