Back in SR3, I had a character that designed, milled, and made his own guns (this was over the course of an entire campaign. He only ever got to use them on the final run.) Yes, he owned a soundproofed warehouse with a smelting shop, gun shop, ballistics testing range, and a drafting station.
Using the Gun creation rules, he made a pair of pistols that were SA/BF, did 6S damage, had 6pts of Recoil compensation, and held 30 rounds, in addition to the obvious smartlink and customized grips. We determined that, after the final run, he retired to producing these guns as special custom orders for shadowrunners. They cost around 5k apiece. |

BMW Blitzen with Levitate and Invisibility sustaining foci mods.
As long as there isn't a wall, blowing a crash test going around a corner might not involve road rash. Helps with parking too. Invisibility just for the looks the rider can get going down the freeway.... |

In single shot, not spray and pray. SS or SA only. Having looked at the subject in some depth I have discovered it is possible to build an almost perfect silencer for any weapon regardless of it's calibre. The real difficulty is super-sonic ammo. Sub-sonic stuff can be made terrifyingly quiet even on full auto. |

Heath, j00 iz teh awesome! I want that modded Praettor. Gonna make me one.
One of the things I love about Arsenal is the "similar models" bit, so that you don't have the same car for character/NPC after character/NPC. I wish the basic rules had something similar. And I miss the BMW Blitzen. |

Simple but deadly, I've had these two guys since I converted the character for 4th ed (in third he had the Ares Pred 3)
My Invisible way gunslinger adept sniper ((IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) ) has these two pure black rune carved silenced pistols everywhere he goes. More people have died to these than any other weapon out of the entire team. Kruo (Ares Predator 4) 5P AP -1 SA (optional under barrel grapple gun) Internal Smartlink Chameleon coating Silencer Personal grip Melee Hardening Tsume (Ares Predator 4) Lasersight Silencer Personalized grip Chameleon coating Melee hardening dual wielded by an adept who specialized in SA, has improved skill pistol, and item attunement on both And of course his signature weapon, the sniper rifle. Capable of dealing obscene damage. I accidentally killed someone with stun damage overflow in a single shot. *pets his rifle* Kami No Itte (Ranger Arms 4) 8P AP -3 SA RC (1) Rigid Stock with shock pad Personalized Grip Internal smartgun Chameleon coating Imaging scope Silencer Bipod I also have a fully modded Gauss Rifle, and madscanner proof material bags for both weapons (since they're disassembleable). THAT was the most expensive part of each weapon (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) Thank god for a firearm shop and Feng Shui |

Most likely because you can't get the bonus from two smartguns at the same time.

But if you're dual-wielding weapons you can't get the benefit from either a Smartlink or a laser sight, at least by the RAW...

Quote a page? I don't see it under Laser Weapons or Firing Selection Change. Checked the erratta too. QUOTE Firing Selection Change: This modification is not available for weapons using unusual loading mechanisms or exotic ammunition, like the Sakura Fubuki or Pain Inducer. I'd say power packs count as exotic ammunition, and an Unusual loading mechanism. |

Just thought up this little baby
Sakura Fubuki with: Smartgun system Personalised grip 2xAdditional clip (IMG:style_emoticons/default/love.gif) 60 rounds for shortburst with no recoil, 20 burst before loading, and smartlink to boot. All that for the cheap price of 8000 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/silly.gif) |

As Fubuki is a metalstorm weapon, it's barrels are magazines too, you shange the whole barrels when you reload. Actualy I think that the BBB state it is a muzzle loader, I think that to reload it's used a loader that pushes stacks of bullets into the barrels (probably for all the 4 barrels at the same time). |

Im pretty sure that the picture of the gun has an extra barrel next to it, i believe that bullets for it gome from the factory reloaded into barrels you can just swap into place. |

Most likely because you can't get the bonus from two smartguns at the same time. For this reason. Oh, and he was right. Nothing intimidates a non-combat NPC like the red dot of death (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) |

Just thought up this little baby Wrong...Sakura Fubuki with: Smartgun system Personalised grip 2xAdditional clip (IMG:style_emoticons/default/love.gif) 60 rounds for shortburst with no recoil, 20 burst before loading, and smartlink to boot. All that for the cheap price of 8000 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/silly.gif) thats an extra 20 or 80 round depending on you GM and how you read the rules. I would say 20 as the gun already has 4 "magazines" of 10 rounds each so those extra "mags" wuold be 10 round per one. Still wrong...You are all forgetting one very important line from the description of 'Additional Clip' and I quote... QUOTE (Arsenal P.148) If the weapon is a pistol, both clips are at 75% of their original capacity... Going to 5 "clips" will reduce you to 8 (7.5, round up) rounds per, for a total of 40 rounds. Add Extended Clip for 10 (9.375, round up) rounds per, for a total of 50 rounds. Going to 6 "clips" will reduce you to 6 (5.625, round up) rounds per, for a total of 36 rounds. Add Extended Clip for 8 (7.03125, round up) rounds per, for a total of 48 rounds. Just adding Extended clip gets you to 13 (12.5, round up) rounds per, for total of 52 rounds. The only reason adding barrels/clips would be worth anything is if the GM sets the rounds per burst to the number of barrels (how I see it) instead of the flat 3. Finally, in the reloading debate, look carefully at the picture in BBB P.307. The picture of the Fubuki has a picture of a barrel above it. You might be confused for a moment until you realize the gun is pointed to the right and the single barrel to the left with a line showing an insertion path. That is all... |
