Hi,

Just to get ahead of the curve, this is the OOC of the campaign Red Dawn Rising. The first post will be placed by the 13th of June 2009.

Look in my signature to find out how posts will be placed.

The tag [OOC: ] is for OOC commentary.

When I wish to point out something to one character without pointing it out to another I will use:

Tetsuo
[ Spoiler ]

I will also use:
Perception [under 5]
[ Spoiler ]

Perception [5 or over]
[ Spoiler ]

Could you place your characters in this thread as your opening post?

Thanks,

-Chrysalis

Hot-dang.

DH ninja'd me by about 12 seconds there.

I double checked that DWC was the last post, corrected the last spelling mistake and posted.

Holy Frak. Twelve hundred words of DH appear from nowhere.....

edit

Just quickly tweaked my IC post to include Vice in the Negotiation plan.

Just a note to say I've finished the group gear. We have a shade over 50k left and everyone has the basic 'kit list'.

Which includes FFBA with integral SImrig, a laser target designator and a concealed holster for it.

You also have an a sensor package, an innocuous emotitoy, which combined with your Simrig is all the Sensor Channels you need for the Rating 3 Tacsoft running on your optimized custom comm-link.

Those 'links can all be slaved either to Frank's biological node or to the teams servers in the Nexus. Either way they will be essentially unhackable. They are purely for comm's and your TacSoft and will also be running an Agent responsible for running rotating encryption on your comm's signal.

So I took a look at the matrix node. Umm. Wow. That's brutal in a special kind of way.

Crizh, couple of questions so I can make sure I have my sheet right.

What type of FFBA is it? Shirt, Half Body Suit, or Full Body Suit? What's the rating on the Emotitoys? And what are the specs on the custom coms?

FFBA, full suit but if you want something smaller I can alter it and spend the money saved elsewhere.

Emotitoys, just Rating 1. They are primarily used for their sensor channels. You won't even be carrying the one subscribed to your link, someone else will. That way you will always have a team-mate with sensor channels that over-lap yours. I chose emotitoys because nobody will look twice at them.

Custom 'links?

Hey Chrysalis, you there?

I missed you earlier, was feeding the brats, and I don't want to post again until we've sorted that.

It's an extended test with an interval of one complex action unless you are searching the entire Matrix in which case it goes up to one minute.

She starts by searching the Nexus, which is a massive Mirror Data Store, every Pulse of data that ever flows through the ShadowMatrix (Shadowland and all the other shadow BBS's and Data Havens) is copied on the servers in Denver.

Hopefully I can pick up Mr J's ID by running his face and voice prints on The Nexus, if he's hired anyone else they've probably done the same thing and the echoes of the searches they have made will be enshrined for all time in The Nexus data-cores.

I'll also make a point of Spoofing my own AccessID to the AccessID of Mr Johnson's 'link before I run the search.

Do you want me to make any rolls for this?

damn... guess I'm wearing my ffba to the next meet. Too bad I didn't see this before my post. Must've been a stinking hot night. I'll grab it from the car after we're done with Mr. Johnson =)

Doubt it's a stinking hot night. It's more likely that the owners keep the bar preposterously hot and humid for that authentic Thailand brothel feel.

Six people in a room with two chairs an endtable and a bed with no ventilation. It is bound to get hot and sweaty in there. And yeah you want that genuine PatPong district feeling by placing the rooms near the heat exchange.

6 people in a room meant for 2..... depending on the people Vice might even find it fun (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

The spam in the IC thread is annoying though =(

I thought it might have been you.

But no, there are hundreds of them all across the 'forum-o-sphere'. What sort of mad freak cross-posts tangential crap all over the internet like that?

Today is also the first day of "Upload Porn to YouTube Week", making the lesson from this to never underestimate the stupidity of bored people with internet access.

Oh, and if you think the room was hot, stuffy, and uncomfortably crowded with 6 humans and a pacing troll, imagine how much worse it was before the bargirl left.

Do Terrance and Silas have street names that they go by, or are they Crow and Forester to everyone?
