I think I just found a new Character Concept. Jebus, who did that awful copy of Battle Pope? It looks like whoever drew it fell into the classic amateur artist trap of trying to copy someone else's style, without actually understanding the anatomy and underpinnings behind that style. Yes, it is an actual comic book. -karma |

http://games.sub-standard.com/Motivational...run-breasts.jpg That's a pic from one of the books isn't it? Nope. Japanese artist, Hyung Tae-Kim. Famous for guys that look like girls and girls that look like they have beach balls strapped to their chests. |

sounds like just about every japanese artist to me, and the only diff vs other artists are the guys, as all artists seems so make the females overly equiped...

I've actually been extraordinarily pleased at the portrayal of women in the art of Shadowrun. Sex objects are the exception, not the rule. |

I've actually been extraordinarily pleased at the portrayal of women in the art of Shadowrun. Sex objects are the exception, not the rule. and when they go for in your face sexy, its probably with some level of irony, or maybe cognitive dissonance (like the troll in a school girl outfit, carrying a copy of the kama sutra)... (there we go, back in its rightful place, i hope) |

I can think of a few that were sexy, *shrug*. For instance, I think that "elf girl with daddy issues" is adorable, and I saved it the last time I saw it linked to on here.

Difference between sexy and sex objects. All of the female characters portrayed (I think) are good looking, as are most of the male ones, but none of them are set up as purely sexual figures (Except maybe that one elf? girl in the bioware section of augmentation with the weird skin. I'd hate to look like that, personally, but she seemed to be along those lines. I'm sure there are a few others I'm not thinking of off the top of my head. Maybe I should go hunk and chick hunting (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ). |

But it's not the be-all and end-all of their portrait, and I appreciate that. |

I'd have to go digging through my books to pick out specific pictures, honestly.
Karoline: there's another version of that motivational poster in your sig that just says, "Shadowrun: Fuck Yeah." I like that one better, personally (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

I'm only a third of the way down the page. BTW, if anyone has not read the Age of Fire series by EE Knight, you should. |
