So, yeah, that's quite possible. Yeah, it's possible, but Bull's assessment was the correct one: the last line of my sig refers to the original SR4 Limited Edition printing, not the SR4A one. When and if I do get mine, the sig will have to be updated. And if the sig length restrictions that I ran in to last time are still in place, that means my cat's Dumpshock question will have to go. A shame that, because it's been a part of my sig for about a year or two before Running Wild let cats on to the Matrix. |

I wonder if the numbered editions are going out in the order that orders were placed. I think I placed my order within a few hours of them going on sale at Battleshop, but given how long ago that was I honestly can't remember.

Mine still says Processing (IMG:style_emoticons/default/frown.gif) ordered on 03/31/10 so I'll probably be one of the last ones to get mine.

So... Is this crap with Vice still going on? Its like less than a few days till 'official release' for LE, and probably means my order is being delayed already if this is the case, as it takes over two weeks to get stuff delivered from overseas.

I couldn't say but my copy of Vice from FRP games shipped yesterday. |

I ordered mine of the 13th of March 2009 and it still says 'Processing', so I'm not sure that is much of a guide. While I would love to believe that those of us who ordered the LE almost as soon as it was announced will get the low-numbered copies, I'm not going to bother crossing my fingers for it. The 13 month delay has made them cramp up too much already (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

Nobody has actually said their preorders have been shipped yet, and unless they all go out tomorrow, we won't get them by the street date. |

There's no reason why a person should be able to waltz into their FLGS and snag a copy off the shelf before someone that preordered the book over a year ago. |

There is no reason that a person should get a book almost 14 MONTHS to get a book after they pay for it, but here we are. Why would you think that CGL would favor you with a book you paid for a year ago BEFORE it was on the store shelves? Sorry if I sound bitter, but there isn't a SINGLE thing in the way this product has been handled that I consider to be professional anymore. Expecting professionalism at this point is just foolish. |

I think you mean Products delivery. I really like its layout and think it was top notch professionally done. The rules professional. The stories are not something I can judge fairly. BlueMax /me not trying to kiss up or disrespect anyone, // just as honest as possible No, I meant the product, not just the delivery. Unless I'm mistaken, and I won't know until I actually have a book, there is no difference on the inside of this book and the normal SR4A book. Even if there are minor changes, they can not warrant this type of delay and still be called professional. For example, if new art caused even TWO months of delays, that is not timely and therefore unprofessional. I am not saying that I don't expect it to be a high quality product. I just do not think that it has been handled in a professional manner. To use a comic-book reference, this book has become an image title; might look pretty but you can't expect it to adhere to anything professional like a deadline. |

F*ck the people who actually care about the game enough to plunk money down months/years in advance. The gaming stores are more important. I'm starting to suspect that this will be the last Catalyst product, or product offered by anyone associated with the business side of Catalyst, that I will ever buy. If that's the case, I will go out of my way to make sure everyone I come in contact with over gaming knows why. I'm spiteful that way. |

I know people have waited an awfully long time for these books, and I know there were many things about this process that were not handled well. I apologize for that, knowing that an apology does nothing to actually make the situation better. I'm glad books are getting out to people, but that doesn't excuse the long wait.
The one clarification I'd like to offer is that Catalyst does not send books to game shops, so this is not a case where Catalyst personnel decided to send books to game shops instead of to those who have pre-ordered them. I'm not sure how it is that the books showed up in stores before the street date, but it is not because Catalyst personnel value the stores more than the pre-orders. Work continues to fill those pre-orders, and I hope all of you who ordered will have your books soon. Jason H. |

Work continues to fill those pre-orders, and I hope all of you who ordered will have your books soon. Jason H. As I understand things, all books are sent to your distribution center, and instead of distributing the pre-orders from there, they are then shipped to Seattle to be processed. If this is correct, that basically means that the pre-orders arrive in Seattle around the same time the other copies arrive at the retailers distribution center. Given that my order was processed by an owner's wife, who responded to my question from her personal email address and not a company address, I find it hard to believe that CGL distribution is more efficient than Diamond (or whoever is doing it these days). They could well be in a box, not put out yet, and store personnel see it sitting there. Depending on the terms and the vendor and industry I've seen this happen before. I wouldn't say that CGL values stores more than pre-orders. I would say that CGL has no idea of how to properly handle things like pre-orders. Using an employee's personal computer to track and handle the ordering; incompetent. Using personal @comcast.net email addresses to respond to customer inquiries; sloppy. Sending the books from your main distribution center to Seattle before processing the pre-orders; Stupid. Taking customer's money for this length of time, without communicating with them; unforgivable. For everything else, there's Mastercard (which CGL will never again get from me). |

Dude, you have nothing to apologize for. You're in a sh*t position and have been forthcoming as you can be and attentive to the community, and as a line head, I couldn't ask for more (and would expect far less). It's why I said I'm p*ssed at the business side of Catalyst, not the entire company. If Catalyst goes tits up, I have two lists printed out. One is the business side, which I'm going to avoid giving money to in the future if I can avoid it. The other is folks like you who have busted their asses in a crap position and still kept working. I'll follow the work that you do with great interest. Seriously, your community involvement is the sole reason I *haven't* given up completely yet. |
