#679 showed up today...I must have looked a little anxious cause the UPS guy went for his Pepper spray...*grin*
pix of the baby

edit: Oh, and a tree fell on my house. I'm not sure if the two are in anyway related, but it is a strange coincidence.*grin*

You might be able to hear the delighted screams down there, all the way from up here in the Panhandle..
but, yes, I will speak up.

I'll be listening for those delighted screams (I'm also in North Florida) and watching for my own copy.

Same with me - I'll possibly look at it once, then put it away in its packaging, stored withe the others.

Have we seen #666 or #667, yet ??

Some peoples' priorities, jeez... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohplease.gif)

Alright, alright already. Since my Landlady wasn't home today, I have time to share:

#1
#2

And I don't know what my cat Zephyr's more smug about, the fact that because they've upped the signature length limit since the last time I updated it, I don't have to delete her question she once tried to post to Dumpshock, or the fact that she's going to be able to flip through it before I do, because I have to go off to work now. It's almost as bad as the time that Running Wild came out and she was convinced that her Dumpshock question gave whichever freelancer was responsible for Emergent Critters chapter the inspiration for the Bastet; she was postively insufferable then.

Hey, I have a car with that name.

My order still says "Processing" but I have my hopes up that UPS will be ringing my doorbell tonight.

Number 801. I was expecting it via postal service, and it came with some UPS packages for my family.

#818 came today.

This is my first limited edition Shadowrun book, and my second for any game. The other is my green Call of Cthulhu with red ink. I've never even played that game. It was a total impulse buy. I'd likely use this book, rather than save it, if I were running Shadowrun. I've never really been a "collector".

I don't really collect. I just realized it's my 3rd 20th Anniversary copy and my 6th total SR4 corebook copy. It really isn't doing me much good.

The non-LE 20th anniversary (two copies of that for use in the group)
The LE 20th anniversary (mostly just to support, like I have in the past)
3 copies of the SR4 book, mostly for other group members (was there an LE of the regular SR4? I might have one of them as well, making it 4.)
Actually, that's just print. I'm really not sure how many PDF copies I've bought to get friends interested or help a player out. But in terms of collection? No, not really. I just tend to have a fair amount of free spending cash, since my expenses are fairly low. My money went to support Catalyst/Wildfire/Posthuman over the years, but I don't really collect and keep anything hidden away in some kind of preserved sleeve. It just goes on the shelf (or currently, on the floor, as I'm in the middle of reorganizing).

I hit that point with SR3. At one time I had 4 copies of the BBB. Gave one away, but I think I still have 3. Plus at least 2 copies of all the SR2 and SR3 core supplements. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wobble.gif)

Nobody ever knocks on my door. UPS delivers here between 5:30 and 6:30 in the evening (it is currently 5:58). You can imagine my excitement when I got a knock on my door just now. I sprang up and ran.

Just a guy who had the wrong house.

Found #833 sitting outside my door when we left to head to our pre-Iron Man 2 tailgate party tonight. It's just a little bit fantabulous. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smokin.gif)

Bit of strangeness with my order that I didn't pick up on yesterday. I had chosen USPS Priority Mail as my shipping method, but my book arrived via UPS Ground. Did this happen to anyone else?

Upthread, someone suggested that they should have overnighted everyone their orders. While that didn't happen, maybe they made a decision to bump everyone up to the fastest of their three normal shipping options? Or maybe it just made things quicker and easier on Tara to have to print out just one type of mailing label.
