It came the other day and I freaking love it. I wanted to record the unboxing gut when I got here I was all excited and giddy and completely forgot to record before tearing open the box.
On a related note, I was to get a glass display for it. Just a single book display I can put somewhere in my room where it'll be safe. I live with nephews after all, and this is a collector's item. |

I picked up #390 and #444 at my FLGS today. I'd preordered one, and picked up the one spare from the shelf for a friend.

After all these "Hey I already got mine" replies I was starting to get JUST a bit worried (as opposed to the whole, "Damn, I think they just took my money an ran." which epitomized the last year of waiting). But I can relax easy as #373 just showed up at my door.

Damn, now I wished I hadn't been one of the first to get theirs! Seems like the low numbers hipped last (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Upthread, someone suggested that they should have overnighted everyone their orders. While that didn't happen, maybe they made a decision to bump everyone up to the fastest of their three normal shipping options? Or maybe it just made things quicker and easier on Tara to have to print out just one type of mailing label. That person was me, and wouldn't you know that I still have not received my book. I live in Sacramento, an area that's pretty easy to ship to, yet due to them using UPS (which I will admit was my original choice anyway), the earliest I will get my book is 1 WEEK after street date! Seeing as how vocal I've been with my disappointment with this entire process, I see this as a nice ironic FUCK YOU direct from CGL to me. I've stayed away from the chaos of the speculation thread, but I will now say that for personal reasons I can honestly say that I hope that CGL fails, and that SR license winds up somewhere else so that I can one day buy SR books again. |

I now have three. 294, 319, and my pre order 552. 294 was an on the way home impulse buy. The FLGS had a few so I figured I'd get a second to look at (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) . 319 was an order from last year I'd forgotten about. The other FLGS called after I got back on the road. And of course the pre order which was sitting on my step when I got home.

Hi everyone.
After some time lurking I just have to reply here... #1188 is mine! My precious! Mine! Mine! Mine! Sorry, that hadt o get out after waiting for over a year and slightly disappointing doubts. But nonetheless I think it's a good piece to wait for and have high hopes for the quality. I'm quite sure it's better than some of the old german FanPro-books I've got around here with dissolving glue at the spines. So just a simple "Thank You Catalyst, even though it took some longer". Just as a side question: It seems I can't edit my sig or avatar or any other part of my profile. Do I have to annoy some admin? Thanks for answers. |

Thanks for the info! Grinder is right - you need 10 posts. (If you thank me as well, then you've only got seven to go. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ) |

I snaffled number 1031 from the local not-so-FLGS down here in Melbourne, Australia. They also still had numbers (at least) 1037, 1038 and 1040 last night.
Still waiting for my Catalyst pre-order though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

Bit of strangeness with my order that I didn't pick up on yesterday. I had chosen USPS Priority Mail as my shipping method, but my book arrived via UPS Ground. Did this happen to anyone else? Same happened to me. I think either Alliance(the people that shipped them) do not use the Postal Service, or we all got free upgrades for having to wait so long. |

Same happened to me. I think either Alliance(the people that shipped them) do not use the Postal Service, or we all got free upgrades for having to wait so long. Of course, I'm sure there won't be a shipping refund for those that paid for the UPS costs; just a free upgrade for those that paid for USPS (whoever is responsible). I paid for the UPS, yet have still no received my copy. There are copies in Australia, but not at my place in Sacramento? Seriously, I'd love to hear from someone from CGL to explain what I got for paying for UPS versus the USPS rates? Of course, I'm sure I'll get that answer right after I get told what took the book so long to begin with. We've already seen that CGL has no interest in making amends with customers; after all they had our money for over a year already. |

Seriously, I'd love to hear from someone from CGL to explain what I got for paying for UPS versus the USPS rates? I'm not really sure that it would get much response currently, but have you tried contacting anyone there? I mean, posting about that (wanting to hear from someone at CGL) here, I don't really think that'll get much response. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
