The morning after my group of PCs totally screws up a Shadowrun and start in-fighting with each other: "You know, I could probably have them try and get a can of soup and they'd provide me with hours of entertainment..."

QUOTE (CanRay @ Sep 7 2010, 10:25 PM) *
While talking with one of my Gamer buddies that isn't in my group:

"Top ten indications you went too far in Shadowrun. At number one... After you cripple the nun the Jesus on the crucifix behind you comes down off the cross and uses it to beat the Hell out of you."
Coulda been worse. Coulda been,"... and uses it to beat you into Hell."

Technically, He was a rabbi, His father was a carpenter. Kinda like a construction worker father paying to get his kid through seminary.

In an era where sons worked for their fathers and eventually took on the family job.

That doesn't stop the person in question from being a rabbi. We have record of it. His death record says He is a rabbi - that's why they crucified Him. His teachings (since He was a rabbi) inflamed the pharisees.

Historical fact.

EDIT: Minor side note, He also had 3 brothers, so the family business could have gone on.

Nah, the Church of Elvis would be more believable. The truly devoted followers even get cosmetic surgery to look like The King. Uh-hunh.

(Shamelessly ripped from the Phule's Mercenaries books by R. Aspirin)

Almost as many Metahumans impersonate him.

Troll Elvis is surprisingly good. Especially as he's as well armed and trained in martial arts as Elvis was.

Does this mean we can have the street of gods?

Actually a street of gods would be possible in shadowrun, most of them are basically free spirits of one form or another.

I see a trip to the nightside of 2070 in store for my group

And for quotes (to be on topic) I was told this once

"No you cannot throw pepper into his face to interupt his casting, Damm it your not John Taylor"

So we found out last night that it's apparently hilarious to play with one of our friends when they are really sleepy...

PC #1 (Human Adept)- ...We will have 'em by the short hairs.
PC #2 (Elf, and the funny one)- ...I don't know what that means.
GM (me)- Elves don't have pubes, it seems.

And later on that evening (after the whole mess of rediscovering how fun Petrify could be)

PC #1- That guy? he can die. Petrify him so he breaks when hits.
PC #3 (Who has the spell)- Yeah, but he might not. If only you could turn him into something like chalk. He'd break real easy then.
PC #2- And be tasty too...
Everybody Else- Huh?
PC #2- Oh. I thought you said "Chocolate".
