If there is nothing specific to do otherwise, Jazz spends the afternoon moving one of her Fly-Spys towards the restaurant and finding a suitable hiding spot for it on the roof, so that she can monitor any activity on the roof access (not that she expects much there).

Kit slurped the last of her Hong Kong noodles before regretfully tossing the cheap disposable chop sticks in to the bowl.
Finally some decent noodles.
And they carried spring water.
Real spring water all the way from the Tir if that bottle held the real thing.
The day was looking up.


The tiny old woman asked "You like?' as she paid.
She mono toned "I"ll be back."
"Good."

Between the two bottles, she doubled the cost of the meal.

She walked back to the park checking her back trail.

Some how it has survived. She had pruned the old canes and the competitors and already offered sweat and blood.


She set her watcher to provide warning and then did a quick Catalog spell to confirmed that the bottles were the real thing and let her check for bugs. Two dead RFID tags later she was ready.

She opened the two bottles and used half of the first to washed her hands and face with the spring water.

Offering water in rainy Seattle in the middle of March seemed strange but felt right. Plus there were few places where one could find clear running water. But you made do.
It was the intent that was important.

She clapped once to call the attention of the little Kami, although she felt it near.
It was shy.
Then she tipped the second bottle over at the base of the bush.
She chanted to honor it as the water ran out.

It came closer and shyly seemed pleased.

Good. Maybe there would be roses soon.


She seal the first bottle, put them both in her bag and rose.

Time to visit Ichigo's.

Deciding that it would be for the best to avoid the fiasco of the last time, Jake takes some time to check out the escape routs, street outlines and traffic reports in the resturant's area. He is also going to look into matrix chatter about the nearby gangs and big heads as well as rumors. Why the hell was witching stuff in that restaurant so friggin important.
Somehow, he has the feeling that they are missing something big in this story.

The next nearly an hour and half pass while Jake starts searching online for any dirt on the area of the restaurant. Flipping through his contact list, he realizes he is painfully short of contacts to provide details like that. Though the area is outside of Kilroy's normal operating zone, the fixer is the only contact he has who might have any details.

After dressing and an hour's ride, the fly-spy is deposited in the neighborhood. This time of day, there is considerably more traffic in the area. The local Quicky-Stop is clean and there are no visible security guards. Standing in the doorway of said shop looking around, she watches a KE patrol car drive by.

Ichigo's com's go straight to messaging, but that's not uncommon; His doss has really spotty matrix connection - mostly not.

A cab takes her as far south as Crazy Joe's Stuffer Shack & Road House (@ Hwy 7 & 224th St E). The walk to Chin's Quikie-Stop (@ Hwy-7 & 260th) takes nearly an hour from there, but the bars on the doors and windows are a welcome site. She is also happy to have walked the distance without being accosted by anyone. Everything at Chin's costs and those costs include a considerably mark-up given the location. Also, most of what is for sale is locally produced or scavenged. The filter for the filtered water appears to be recently changed and at one nuyen per quart is the cheapest thing in the store.

Revan started going through Ravens books looking for any details he can get on said beasties to see if there was anything he should be more aware of, what ever books he couldnt find or references Raven didnt have Revan utilized the matrix connection and researched what ever he could.

The next several hours pass as the team continues to take care of business or just hang out.

A latte, a little shopping and some time roaming the the Tacoma Mall once back in Tacoma and her day passes with little incident. One thing she does notice is that Midnight is no longer appearing on TeamNet.

The afternoon gives way to evening as Revan becomes absorbed in Raven's Library. He realizes that he turned his com off a few hours ago to focus on the books, coming across such fantastic creatures as harpies, hell hounds and hippogryphs.

The past few hours of summoning and binding had proven very fruitful for Kit. Uncle San not only arrived, but had also been convinced to give up a considerable number of services.

Ichigo was sitting off to the side in his riding leathers. "I'm heading into Loveland. Need a ride?"

Jake had spent the afternoon holed up at home digging into blogs, news articles and just doing research about the target area. Gang activity was minimal in the area. The security rating kept the street gangs at bay, so he only scanned some matrix gang activity in the area. There is some reputed mafia activity in the area, but most of it is low-keyed. The area is rife with politicians, corporate execs and a little recreation on the lake. The restaurant is also in an area known as the elven district and has a significantly higher percentage of elves, dwarves and awakened meta-humans in the area.

Forcing himself to stop the study of such fantastic creatures he copies what he thinks is beneficial knowing there is a job to do he sets himself up and prepares. He stores his non runner items and only brings along his magic and slips on his form fitting body armor then slips on some slacks and a synleather jacket. <@Team[Revan]"everyone ready for tonight? Lets meet up for a late lunch along south 22nd ave?"> Revan checked on Raven again to make sure he would be ok for the night. Ensuring the store was secured and the wards were fresh and correctly done it was habbit to doubel check Ravens work sometimes he did new techniuqes which perked Revans interest.

Revan makes a couple of notes in his ledger for later reference. Dual natured beats were very interesting to Revan imagine if he could actually get his hands on one and train it, he smiles to himself about the possiblities of having a trained barghest or Hellhound as a pet. Putting all the day dreaming aside his memories went back to the fire that consumed his life and parents. He still needed to exact revenge on those responsible. He wished he were more powerful to do so now but knew that time was something of a luxury as he was still young and time was something he had plenty of.

On 22nd Avenue, just up the street from the intersection of 192nd St E & Loveland Quinn's is a hole in the wall burger joint called Hamdorf's. This hole in the wall is a no frills soy-burger and fries establishment. The motif is picnic table and plastic-ware and the staff are hard-hitters born and bred in the Barrens. Revan is the first to arrive, getting their by cab. Kit arrives next, but holds off flying north to the site until after eating. Jazz drives straight over from the Tacoma Mall and Jake arrives last, tracking the arrival of his teammates; The rigger having already checked and discovered that the establishment failed to meet his standards for cleanliness.

The ork waitress looks as though she rolled out of bed and raced in for her shift after a hard night (and day) of partying; Her demeanor also matches her appearance. Most of the tables, inside and out, are filled with a variety of (obvious) off-duty soldiers from Ft Lewis and persons who are either locals or fit in like locals.

Revan sits back, smiling as he see's the waitress approaching with his food. For him, the place is pretty much perfect. For Kit, the smell of the orks at the table next to her who have been working a physical labor job all day is over powering to the point of distraction. Besides Kit, Jazz is the only other attractive, upscale female in the place and has been listening to the not so subtle sexual innuendos about the two of them from the 2 human and 2 ork men at the table behind her for about 1.2 seconds.. until she engaged her sound filters. Jake makes himself as small as possible to avoid physical contact with anyone and is successful until the waitress rubs against him delivering the food to the table. Her own musk discernible as she enters his 'personal space'.
