This reminded me of a game I once played in that was a special forces team for Lone Star. We took down all the biggest and badest threats to Seattle and had a blast. I may be up for running the game, but there are so many more GMs that are better than me. Anyone interested? Anyone want to run something like this? If not, I may just have to.

I'd definitly be down with playing in it. Got a few concepts cooking in my head that'd work for a cop game.

I'd be up for playing in it, sounds fun *8-> What type of characters are you looking at? I'm guessing not shadowrunner types... more cop-like rather than army styly....? *8-> always with the questions I guess *8->

Totaly!! I've been watching a lot of "the Shield" lately. I always think, "that's how I'd play a cop in SR..."
Let me know!! |

Ok, well, how about we get our heads together and figure out how it will work.
Kagetenshi, how interested are you in running the game, cause I'm already running one and don't know if I want to take on another. |

Hey, I'd really like to play a cop. Are we talking cops, or are we talking special ops? I've got a German troll, former cop mage who could be working for the Star now.
PS, if you have the chance, pick up GURPS Cops. Great book and an excellent RPG aid in any system. |

I was thinking something more like Special Ops, but I'd be up for anything.
I was thinking a team that is somewhat like a Shadowrunner team, but we'd be playing on the side of the law and have corporate backing. |

I was thinking "Special Task Force" more than "Special Ops". Plainclothes, rule bending (and breaking), that sort of thing. Like "The Shield" or "True Crime: Streets of LA"
But I could do anything. |

I'd really like to play in this game! I'll finally get my full-equipped Heavy Security armor... well, hopefully. :)

Ditto. Do we even have a GM before we all get into this?

If Kage doesn't want to do it, I may take the helm. I'd just much rather someone else do it cause I'm already running a game.

I guess I'm up for this. I'll come up with a list of restrictions/rules shortly, in the meantime: 128 build points, must have Pistols skill of at least 3, no reflex enhancements without a reflex trigger.
How are we playing? Play-by-post? ~J |

What do we need for the team? Off the top of my head I can think of:
-Detective (could me a mage/shaman with detection spells) -Face (to get info off the streets about whatever job we have going) -Decker -Rigger? -Muscle (more than one?) Granted, some of these could crossover. Dective/Face, Combat Decker, etc. |

At least one rigger would be good. Are you all going to be working for Lone Star or some other law enforcement organization, or should I choose? I'm going to be finding some way to make it easier for the Rigger to get his or her hands on the tools that a proper law-enforcement rigger would need.

I'm up for leaving it to you to decide. It could be CIA, Lone Star, or whatever.

By the by, are people more interested in a street-level cop-game, or a high-powered Section 9-style game? I can do either, I'd just want to tweak chargen rules for the latter.
