Hey guys, Binky the centaur has come up a few times in the threads I've been reading. People say to use the search function, so I do, and end up finding one or two vague hints, and more people saying to use the search function.
The most complete post I found was by Stahlsteel, who originally came up with the concept: http://forums.dumpshock.com/index.php?show...mp;#entry714247 Binky in abstract is supposed to be an extremely fast, super armored centaur. However, the design so far is arguable (admitted by Stahl as well) and the description is incomplete. All in all, I feel this should be brought up for several reasons:
I'll start, and please forgive me for inaccuracies and the short description since I don't have my books on hand. For speed we have:
I'll post about the armor when I get a chance. |

There's no need to pretend there's a reasonable basis for things (like the skimmers). Just say 'the rules don't say you can't'. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) For me, I feel like it's enough to wave at the vague concept of Binky, but do the stats if you want.

If you stat it, it can be killed.
Binky is the indestructable equine hovertank of doom. |

Stahl said 42 internal armor. Whether that stacks with worn or not, there's still body, for a total of 50+ dice on DR tests. Eat your heart out pornomancer.

At the very core of Binky's design lies the maximum exploitation of stacking cyberlimb armor.
Binky is only Binky if he has Shiva Arms II, for a total of 10 limbs (6 arms, 4 legs), plus torso, plus head, all cybernetically replaced and fully armored. This means his cyberlimb armor clocks in at a whopping 48 (if you bulkmod the skull and use the full 8 points of capacity for armor). Beyond numbercrunching for max armor and speed, Binky was never statted out, but there's a pic of him floating around somewhere. If you go full deltaware on the limbs, it would even be possible to have an Awakened Binky with a few points of Essence left, which means more armor due to spells, adept powers and the like, but the original concept was probably at least implied to be a cyberzombie instead. |

Binky's a Cyberzombie and radiates a Backgrundcount of 4....
so If a Poromancer is not gonna eat his Heart out, Binky's gonna make him do it also Binky's never alone in the upgrated Version, best protection against a Pornomancer @Rasumichin Binky's not totally cyber-armored-Up. some Slots are left for Gimmicks (IIRC) with a protected Dance Medicineman |

Well, the basic concept WAS maxed out armor.
And 10 limbs at standard grade means just from limbs going into -4 essence. With Torso and Skull, he'd be at about -6 Essence i think. But because it's a critter, you NEED delta, thus you don't get into cyber-zombie territory i guess. |

Since Delta isn't available at character creation, doesn't that automatically make Binky just a thought exercise?

Binky isn't a shadowrunner, he's what Mitsuhama rolls out when the runners break into the Zero Zone.

Binky isn't a shadowrunner, he's what Mitsuhama rolls out when the runners break into the Zero Zone. I can still go first in intiative and overcast stunbolt him to sleep, right? unless there's a pixie in one of the limbs' smuggling compartment counterspelling, ofc |

Well, the CZ/Cyborg Combination would have given him the 4 BGC from the CZ and the -4 to dice pool for magicing him from the Cyborg Part.
There isn't all that much living tissue left that can go to sleep to begin with. Hell, technically, even if he was dead asleep *snickers*, he'd still stay upright standing due to all of the heavy metal used in there ^^ |

I can still go first in intiative and overcast stunbolt him to sleep, right? It's not that hard to give Binky 4 IP. The base cost of the limbs is 12.25 Essence. Adapsin, a custom cybersuit design and Biocompatibility (Cyber) would reduce that to a mere 2.45. Plenty of room left for a Synaptic Accelerator 3, or even a Move By Wire 3 (more like an actual fly-by-wire in this case). You better stunbolt fast before he points all of those guns in your direction. |

I need to convince my GM to build one of these, no matter how broken, and have it be his plot excuse device: "You can't go that way. Binky's there with his thermographic ultrasound stereoscopic vision, and a sattelite loaded with a THOR mounted on his shoulder."
