Say the location is random places in the barrens-type areas. The teams can scavange/appropriate whatever they find.
An adventure hook: They happen to pick the building to 'search' where the team is hold up in a safe house after a run, so now they have to deal with contestents/camara drones/lights/etc |

Someone, i think it was Chuck (sorry man i can never remember your last name) wrote a similar themed adventure for cons. It was pretty bare bones but basically involved the contestants being put into a wierd mix of junkyard war and demolition derby. Officially the violence was supposed to be limited to the track but that's not really the way it worked out. The runners were a ringer team hired by the mob to fix the contest. Good times.
