@JavaLamp - I agree I shouldn't be stomping on anyone else's toes. Brick's observations just come from the description you provided in your prior post (at least that was my intention). If you think I took it too far, please feel free to point out where I will edit.

@JavaLamp
Sorry it took me so long to get my first post up. I wrote it about 5 times, and never really felt happy with it. So yea... not my best first post. Oh well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) Anyways, for the sake of clarity, all Mieke has with her is her commlink in a purse and her white cane. She's wearing a black moonsilver cocktail dress and wireframe mirror sunglasses. |

If you think I took it too far, please feel free to point out where I will edit. There isn't an example that goes so far as I'd need to intervene in that last post. there is an example of something that *could be construed* as it in that post though. Specifically introducing a dog for Mieke. It's a bit rigid on my end, but I'd like to avoid bigger problems later. So take it as a thing for the future, nothing needs to be changed, we'll just flow forward. |

The easiest way to avoid 'taking control' of other characters is to insert the word "seems"
So instead of: "The girl in the chair is looking around scared" use "The girl in the chair is looking around, seemingly scared." or "It seems to Brick that the girl in the chair is looking around scared." That way it can always be written off as a character simply getting a bad read as opposed to painting actual actions/reactions. Or for your spesific post instead of:"He then turned his attention to the scared woman. The people surrounding her were scaring her. Her body language indicated that." Just make it:"He then turned his attention to the apparently scared woman. The people surrounding her seemed to be scaring her. Her body language seemed to indicated that." That way if I post that she is indifferent or confident or something (unlikely, but scared may be an overstatement) it is easy to write off as your character simply reading too much into the situation or misinterpreting some small action or something. P.S. Will post in the morning, been mulling over my post a bit (and also been busy today) and may change the exact circumstances of her presence slightly. |

Ghost, I highly encourage you to post today. Or even if you can't quite get things worked out for the IC, an OOC post, or even a PM to Javalamp. Sometimes it helps to just get some ideas out there.

Judge Intentions roll for Mathew (trying to see if anyone in the room reacts to him pulling out biometric scanners):
Intuition (5) + Charisma (5) = 10 dice = 4 hits EDIT: Also, since I didn't get a response, I just went ahead and assumed there would be some sort of wifi inhibiting material in play (either wifi-negating paint as part of the private room, or a jammer the guys brought with them, or something). It seemed to make sense, but I can edit if necessary. |

Thanks Ghost! Hmm.. I should collect these for easy access. @mister__joshua That pistol soft is a rating 4 Nice! Lets hope I don't have to use it! Hehe. Got my first post up. I think it's good, but I wrote it mainly on instinct and impulse. It's nice to be in (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Cheers |

Negotiation (or Con?) roll to try to get them to move Mathew and Sara somewhere private to discuss the details. Using Edge on this roll up front (since this might be key to any escape plan he cooks up) so 6s explode.
Charisma (5) + Con/Negotiation (1) + Edge (2) = 8d6 = 4 hits (3 sixes, rerolled 3d6 = 0 hits) |

Also, if/when you DO need to use it, keep in mind that it'll run at rating 3 on your skillwires. That doesn't matter, cos I won't have to use it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) In seriousness though, I don't think any combat involving me will be a particularly long or protracted affair. Mainly me getting filled with holes and then bleeding out while clutching my wounds in pain (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) True though, my skill wires are rating 3. I'd forgotten than, though I would have checked it if came to use it |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Exactly why I'm hoping to negotiate to be moved to a quiet side room before the various factions turn on one another. |

EDIT: nevermind, I was wrong. Rating 6 OS/Firewall is availability 12, but the response 6 chip would be higher. I noticed Sarah has a stock commlink (with lower than 6) so its all fine. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Oh, in relation to my IC post, Moss is my contact in the company's Matrix Support department (who I didn't think would be useful this early, but it seems to be worth a go)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Hehe, yep, figured I could upgrade it in game. Of course that means my awesome OS is currently less awesome than it should be, but figured it represented her being such a heavy programmer very well. Still, she only has rating 3 software for the most part, so her hacking isn't going to be particularly impressive. She is fairly decent at decrypting, but still about 10ish dice shy of a proper hacker. Oh, and FYI, you can use xd6.hitsopen(5,6) in the future on invisible castle when using edge. It'll automatically do exploding sixes. |

Hehe, yep, figured I could upgrade it in game. Probably... Just remember, when these bad guys end up killing the poor data courier once you're through with him, be sure to fish the rating 6 response chip from his headware. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

Also, when you get a second, JavaLamp, I'd still like to know if we have a matrix connection (or at least cellphone access) here, or if its blocked. I can edit my previous post if it isn't blocked. |
