I think we're waiting on Seth? Who seems to be AWOL (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Ok, let's not keep everyone waiting...I think we can safely say that Gash would report so why don't we proceed on the basis that he has done so (based on the IC description I gave). That way we can speed along to the gory action I have planned (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ork.gif) |

Sounds good to me. I thought Gash checked in with us via commlink, but maybe I was missing something.
Either way, I'm ready for CthulhuTech-inspired goreness. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

well, was hoping to get some more discussion on how the hell we're gonna do this (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) but.. Most of my RPG plans have always followed a little nugget of wisdom mentioned in my X-Wing strategy guide: Stick with simple plans because complicated ones have more variables that can go wrong. Clearly, our plan will be to go in there, get wailed on by the baddies, and then complete the mission while staying alive more or less... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) |

Sabs, you questioned what drones you had at your disposal…as I don’t think any have been taken as part of your character gen points then you have access to them through the ‘events’ points…check out the list in the first post to determine the sorts of things available. I recently calculated how many events points you have as a group so hopefully you can search the thread for that?

I am sorry to inform you all that I will no longer be able to take part in Dumpshock games.
I have enjoyed my time playing with all of you, and have many fond memories of interacting with you. Unfortunately as some of you know, my business collapsed this year, and I am having to deal with the fallout from that. We went from a 70 man company to 50 to 20 to none in a short time. The financial and emotional fallout from that was and still is considerable. In addition I am starting a new business. As you are probably aware, the stress levels and time requirements of a start up are severe. I am working 16 to 18 hour days, and just don't have the intellectual capacity or imagination to spare to play a RPG. I feel bad about leaving this game in a mess, but I am just unable to devote any time to it. My guilt over neglecting my GMing and playing reponsibilities is quite considerable. I hope to be able to start playing dumpshock in a year or two (this is my third start up...so I have a good idea how the lifecycle goes, and in a year or so the work will tail off, one way or another). This has been quite a hard post to write, as I have quite an emotional attachment to all the people I have played with: bizarre as we have never met, but still... I wish you all the best, and hope you are all still here in a year or two when I can come back. |

Aria:
Can we get a sub that would allow Jax's mecha to be transported? If you look at the map: I'd like for us to meet a sub on the coast, that's directly west of the island. Looks like the route you have is perfect, looking at the map. So can we move time forward to being in the sub, and preparing for the assault? |

No problem...on the sub at least, it looks like Gash has mysteriously flatlined...that's clearly what you get for being astral in horror infested waters (IMG:style_emoticons/default/frown.gif) |

I think Jax’s mech is the next size up from yours (also monsterous), but didn’t you tell me you could swim in yours with life support lvl 2?!?
There are some relative blind spots in the sonar net so you should be able to ‘sneak’ onto the island |

Just trying to figure it out. Okay, I'll post from there. |

Aria the barista!
it's time for some rapid fire EW (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Finding a Node: EW (4)+scan(5)+VR(2)+1=12d6: 1 2 5 6 1 5 1 5 6 6 2 5 (7) hits My Signal range is 10Km A military drone like they have is probably 4km range. assuming I find a node or 5. Computer(3)+Analyze(5)+CI(1)+Encephalon(2)+Pushed(1)+Analyzer(1)+vr(2)=15d6: 4 6 5 2 5 5 2 4 3 6 4 4 3 2 3 (5) hits This should tell me 5 things about the node/drone Capture Wireless signal: ew(4)+sniffer(5)+3=12d6: 3 4 5 4 5 3 4 4 6 4 1 3 (3) hits That's just enough to get me capturing traffic. It's probably encrypted: so for my next trick. Decrypt: EW(4)+decrypt(5)+VR(2)+Encephalon(2)+CI(1) (encryptratingx2, 1 combat turn) 1) 3 3 6 3 6 2 5 1 5 3 4 1 1 4 (4) hits 2) 5 3 4 2 6 1 1 1 5 6 2 2 5 1 (5) hits 3) 2 4 3 4 2 4 5 6 4 5 1 1 6 6 (5) hits 4) 2 4 1 6 3 4 5 5 6 3 2 4 5 6 (6) hits That's 20 hits. That should let me decrypt anything up to rating 10 encryption. And it took 4 combat turns. So that's my first volley. PS) I am running Stealth 8. Let me give you a stealth roll. Hacking+stealth: 4+8+2+1+1+2+4 (edge)=22d6 with exploding 6's. 3 4 6 4 1 5 4 3 5 6 4 4 6 3 4 3 1 4 2 6 1 5 (7) + 1 6 6 6 (3) + 6 5 2 (2) + 6 (1) + 2 (0) = 13 hits |

Well, this is just.. "what are they doing, what can they see, what's going on."
I still need to get in there and take over some stuff. This is just, "wiretapping 101" |

that probably depends on your spells (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) but probably not. WHat I'm doing has taken I think 2 seconds so far.

Lol, no worries. I can increase your logic or willpower, but it doesn't look like that's an issue based on the dice rolls.
