Ok, cool. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Here goes nothing:
Casting Increase Logic at Force 5: Magic(5) + Spellcasting(6) + Power Focus(4) + Mentor(2) = 17d6 for 5 hits. Drain: (5/2)-2 = 0, so 1S Willpower(5) + Logic(9) + Centering(2) = 16d6 for 7 hits. Binding a Force 4 Fire Spirit: Magic(5) + Binding(1) + Specialty(2) + Power Focus(4) - Sustain(2) = 10d6 for 4 hits. Edge reroll misses: 6d6 for 2 more hits. 6 total. Spirit's opposed roll: 8d6 for 4 hits. Phew, good use of edge. ^_^;;; Drain: 8S Willpower(5) + Logic(9) + Centering(2) = 16d6 for 5 hits. Stats for Fire Spirit: Anima's Aspect of Fury [ Spoiler ] Casting Resist Pain at Force 3: Magic(5) + Spellcasting(6) + Power Focus(4) + Mentor(2) - Sustain(1) - Wound Mod(1) = 14d6 for 7 hits, but only 3 count. Drain: 3-4 = -1, so 1S Willpower(5) + Logic(9) + Centering(2) = 16d6 for 10 hits. ??? I guarantee that the time I need 10 hits from the dice, they will come up with 0. If I'm resisting 1S, I'm sure they'll be all 6s. First Aid on Drain Damage: Logic(9) + First Aid(2) + Specialty(2) - Sustain(2) = 11d6 for 7 hits. Drain all gone. I could try binding a second one, but that might be greedy. I know spirits get ornery, and having one unbound and two bound might be a bit much for the extraordinarily ordinary charisma of Tris. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) Edit: I got Tris mixed up with another mage in another game, so he should only have 1 die for centering. Knocking off 1 from each of the drain resist tests makes it 6 hits, 5 hits and 10 hits. I'll be more careful next time. x_x |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) I believe you can have as many bound as your charisma so assuming that's greater than 1 (I haven't checked) feel free to bind some more!!! Sabs, you need anything more before plunging on into the nodes? |

Lol, yeah, it's 3. I need to mull it over, since I'm hoping to call out one big, bad fire spirit before the battle. Might need edge for that. XD

I need work to stop kicking my ass so I can look up my dicepools and do my rolls (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Sorry, It's been a stressful couple of weeks. And when I get home, I just vegetate and watch tv cause I'm feeling all beat up. I will try to find some time today to do the rolls. |

I've not been around either so that's not a problem. I'm happy to carry on at your speed but one thing to consider, we could concentrate on the 2072 thread before Christmas (as there are more players there) and pick this all up after the New Year when I will do a recruitment drive to see if we can get more people involved - just before the attack would seem to be an excellent time to start people off! Let me know what you both think! |

Sure we can do that
I'll focus on 2072.. and try to get my rolls built for this side. It might be nice to get the hacking out of the way? |

That's fine with me. I'm editing my binding test post to put in the stats for the fire spirit. If we get another mage, maybe someone can sustain some health spells for me while I summon a big bad fire spirit. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

Did I hear something about new players wanted...? We seem to be down to 2 at the moment so I was going to start a recruitment drive after the holiday - feel free to submit one now though if you want (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Slow start to the year - Sabs, JxJxA, you good to go? Didn't get any bites on the recruitment thread but I'll try that again too!

Yup, just let me make some final summoning rolls.
Okay, holding onto the increased logic spell from the binding from this post. I think I'm out of edge, so I'm crossing my fingers... Summoning a Force 7 Fire Spirit: Magic(5) + Summoning(4) + Specialty(2) + Power Focus(4) - Sustain(2) = 13d6 for 8 hits. PHEW!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wobble.gif) Spirit's opposed roll: 7d6 for 3 hits. 5 services total. Resisting drain: 6P Willpower(5) + Logic(9) + Centering(1) = 15d6 for 6 hits. Right on the nose. This makes me laugh because I have a Nahualli in another game that Invisible Castle absolutely HATES. I'm sure it's just small sample size, but my goodness there is a huge difference between making rolls for Tris and Uetzcayotl. Stats for the summoned Aspect of Fury: [ Spoiler ] I'll maintain the logic spell during combat. Might as well have a bit of a drain resist cushion when tossing high force manaballs. XD |

Ok, Sabs, JxJxA, doesn’t look like we are getting any bites on the recruitment at the moment so I’ll continue things as if you have a squad with you and NPC them as required. For the moment I’ll make a notional allowance of edge and leadership for the purposes of the Events and they are good to go from now so feel free to use them!

Oops, totally misread the IC post. Looks nasty from the link, but I'm happy to defer to veterans (as well as the sarge) on how to proceed. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

Ok, rather than detract from the two of you as PCs I think I will extend the 'events' to have a 'lesser events' choices to represent the squad that is with you... of course if for story purposes I need to flesh out the squad I will do so but otherwise I'd like them to fade into the background a bit.
So you two are in charge (Tris can get a field commision to "specialist" which in this case is an amorphous rank that can mean just about anything)... you can both have +2 leadership for free (to a max of 6...) and I'll try and work out the squad actions and generic make-up over the weekend... |

Sounds cool! I'll make sure to add that tag to his posts now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
By the way, does Tris know about the drones or have they only come up on Sticks' readout? If they have, he'll ask Sticks how he wants to handle it. |
