looking for a critter. preferably a big cat or a bird, but almost anything that can avoid bringing attention to itself will be acceptable.

Assensing : 6d6 = 2 successes

Probably not enough. Should it be an extended test?

If you need help, I can ask one of my fire spirits to scout around for one. I have a bound Force 4 and an unbound Force 7 floating around, and they could probably find you a vessel quickly. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Voodoo tradition has the Loa (spirits) possessing willing people normally. It's likely that my future hosts will be less willing, though, but I doubt that you'll need to spend the xp on it. The pact he offered you, on the other hand, might be something you'd be interested in.

On a side note, I can't find anything limiting the number of pacts I can have with characters. Any gm-imposed limits going to be made?

Cripes, I just missed that reference. I've got a nasty cold that is fogging up my brain. Let me mull it over. Tris is a hermetic tradition mage, but his mentor spirit is of the overly possessive dark goddess variety. He'd probably take you up on it, but she views Tris as hers. There are a number of small furry bodies running scared. The largest creature you find is a deer hiding in the brush...

Don't forget your 'events' options...an air strike by a couple of yellowjackets would easily destroy the drones allowing you lot to deal with/evade the darkenss and get on with assaulting the compound (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

That's true. I was afraid they would tip off the Azzies to our military force. Of course, if Sticks ended up falling face-first into an alarm... x_x

I think we were worried about the sensor area, too. Maybe using a mortar strike on the sensors plus a air assault on those drones might way to start? I don't know much about the events points. Do they refresh, or are they one time only thingy? I'm more than happy to spend a few to start it off if it means we get into the action. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Let's just say the events are a finite pool...but I'll let you know when it's close to running out. It was meant to be bigger with 4-5 players contributing edge and leadership to it so if it looks like you are using it too much I'll step in. It's meant to add milspec flavour without taking the centre of attention away from your PCs. I didn't really anticpate these drones stalling the action so feel free to call in an air strike on them and possibly a hacker 'jam-on-the-fly' assault on the sensor grid. Not perhaps the most subtle thing in the world but it will get things moving again (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

it occurs to me belatedly that Squirrels can't talk. So Mal will use his influence power to plant suggestions instead!

Magic 6 + cha 4 = 10d6 = 4 successes. Resist with willpower if you don't want to start talking to a squirrel.

LOL, summoning a watcher spirit to act as a carrier pigeon. I don't think we carry squirrel-sized commlinks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

Summoning a watcher spirit for 2 hours:
Magic(5) + Summoning(4) + Power Focus(4) - Sustain(2) = 11d6 for 2 hits.
Resist Drain: 2S
Willpower(5) + Logic(9) + Centering(1) = 15d6 for 1 hit. LOL

If I have time, I'll make a First Aid roll to deal with the drain damage:
Logic(9) + First Aid(2) + Specialty(2) - Sustain(2) = 11d6 for 6 hits. LOL. I should use morphine to treat headaches more often...

Sorry guys, this game seems to be loosing its momentum again, mostly my fault as I’ve been concentrating on other threads (notably the 2072 one…). The air strike is inbound and I suggest we push past this obstacle and move on to the compound proper! You can either engage the dark horrific entity or skirt round it before it moves closer, your choice [I would suggest avoid it, but that’s just me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ork.gif) ]

@Mickle: Running Wild does. It lists Chipmunks(Squirrels) as a similar animal to hamsters. Stats ain't pretty, but you get 4 Agility and 5 Climbing. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
