"I feel like the logical addendum to 'never cut a deal with a dragon' is 'after you cut a deal with a dragon, don't betray him and the even bigger dragon he works for who also runs Denver.'
I played this adventure as Banshee with Joe King as GM. He did a good job GMing it and I think we all had fun; there were one or two parts written into the adventure that rubbed me the wrong way but on the whole, I thought it was a solid, well-written adventure.

Things I liked:

The plot was good, and I liked how there was a mystery that you weren't forced to solve (why did Suspense betray the ZDF), but you could dig as much as you wanted.

Stealing the corpses from Tenebrous was a fun challenge.

I appreciated that there was a legitimate choice at the end. Stealing the data, cutting Suspense loose, and selling it was tempting, although we decided it was too risky.

I liked the callbacks to Season Two and the NPCs that reappeared.

Infiltrating the Alamos 20k base was good fun.

Criticism:

The investigation felt like we went down every possible route of investigation (the Church of the Dragon Reborn, Suspense's old boss, matrix searching, astral searching, etc) and turned up nothing, then had an NPC call us up out of the blue and offer us the answer for doing a side job. I'm not sure if there was some way for us to realize that the Vory knew the answer; several of us had Vory contacts and could have called them, but we didn't see any reason they would be involved. Possibly we missed something, but it might be good to leave some hints as to who to ask in some of the more clear investigative directions.

Suggestions:
I would like to see a followup adventure involving the technomancer vivisection lab - it would be great if the followup changed depending on whether the PCs betrayed Perianwyr, turned over Suspense, etc.

I also played Burn Notice with Banshee, GM’d by Joe King and here is my review:

I liked:
NPCs from Denver reappear. Some scenes were literally lifted shot for shot, so much so that you could predict the 2 troll zombie bodyguards. I really appreciate the consistency.

It feels like Denver thematically, it offers a double cross, a choice at the end, and some gritty face shooting. The pay was good too.

The best carjacking subplot I’ve seen yet. Challanging and interesting.

Plenty for Mages, Matrix, Face, and Shooters to do. Everyone had a role to play.

EDIT: I liked that Suspense had Emerged and was driven slightly crazy. I was totally able to call it. Here is why: I’ve seen 3 crazy women technomancers in missions (still in season 2) so far. My operating procedure is that all hysterical women are technomancers until proven otherwise. What I liked about Suspense is that she just changed her goals and motivations, but continued to act rationally. She acted what I expect an average black ops person would act like if they Emerged.

OTOH, she had her Electronic Warfare skill linked to either Resonance or Logic, so she could have used either CFs or Programs. It would really suck to emerge and either lose all your ability to do your work, or to lose your new (not) magical matrix powers.

I disliked:
No cards for the contacts. While I have Perianwyr as a contact, I don’t know his connection rating so I can’t have him get me gear. Maybe I missed this being handed out however.

The TM vivisection facility not being within the scope of the mission. As a Technomancer, my character felt very strongly about shutting it down (so much I would have done it for free). Please make a mission where this happens.
