Not really, no. It is just intresting to note the number of people who claim that they can do better than the current Publiushers (and you are not the only one out there Hermit), and yet when push comes to shove, the output is Vaporware. Not a Bait, so much as a Point. It is actually much harder than it looks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

And you keep repeating that ad nauseum. We neither have the funds nor the wages of a Line Developer. We have jobs and education we need to take care of besides. Besides, you are the last person to demand anything or put words in anyone's mouth. You can't even manage meaningful internet forum posts. All you can do is write about yourself or bait.

Welcome to the ignore list, troll.

True... But when the comments turn to "I could Do Better than those scrubs" my response is "Fish or cut bait."
Don't talk smack unless you can back it up. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

But when one's own post history shows that they're clearly in lock-step with said developers...

Tymeaus Jalynsfein, hermit: this is a) going nowhere, b) totally annoying to the rest of the board members, c) annoying as hell. Did I mention that your constant bickering is annyoing? So stop that once and for all - that means in all threads on this board, not just in this specific case. Do you get this? Do you understand that? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

I hope it is ok for Mr. Hardy that i post it here, but i think we are all fans and hunger for official informations and therefore it is ok.

The specific book that refers too will not be coming out, but there are products on the way introducing some new magic elements, including the upcoming Conspiracy Theories.

Hello Mr. Hardy. Sorry for the interruption but i just overflew the FAQ-section and found in the magic section the phrase "will be mentioned in an upcoming sourcebook". I donīt want to discuss about the happenings in the past regarding freelancers, licences etc., i just wanted to know if you think this line will be still followed or not.

Thank you

Best regards

Machiavelli

So the Artifacts Unbound Campaign book was the replacement for the High Magic book that was dropped because of the mess with writers. Where is the info that the Atrifact Unbound book is getting dropped comeing from?

Last time I checked, Artifacts Unbound hadn't been dropped and was, in fact, being hammered upon vigorously. It's not out of the realm of the possible that things have changed, but I think someone would surely have let me know by now if that were the case.

The Artifact adventures were not planned out with an actual ending;

Actually, they were planned with an actual ending, one that tied in with a novel (or two or three) that doesn't seem to be happening any more. Then it started changing, and then changing a lot. I don't know how much I'm allowed to say about the original and intermediate plots, but I think it's safe for me to say that it's probably the reason there are some seemingly disjointed bits in DotA4.

It was going to be pretty epic. Bull would have liked it.

They were going to kill Ehran offscreen, frame Harlequin for it, and have Thera come back as a floating-island-full-of-wizards. It was a silly, stupid plot and was way too much like what they did with Forgotten Realms at the beginning of D&D 3.0.

[/edit]And don't lament the novels-unwritten. Loren wanted to write the tie-in for what would become the Artifact adventures.

So...
At this point the game would actually change its name to Magicrun, right?
I love magic as much as the next guy (heck, my favorite archetypes are adepts) but Thera returning from wherever it was, seems A LOT silly.

PS: Would Catalyst be able to use Thera? I though there were legal issues separating Earthdawn and Shadowrun, weren't there?

So, Shadowrun is to be made into Final Fantasy if Aaron and Coleman have anything to say about it. Reminds me of steampunk Nazis in a Nexus in Antarctica and teleporting islands full of ninja zombies who travel in time ...

Of course, with Aaron's apparent grasp on the metaplot (Harlequin, a friend of Erhan), that should be no big suprise.
