I'm creating my shapeshifter character for living in the shadows right now. Did Panzer's blackberry cat character get accepted?

We decided to limit those characters to the as yet un-named Proposed New Game. If we like the way you run the character, we may set him loose and clear him to post in Living in the Shadows IC and OoC threads.

Panzergeist needs to tweak his a bit, but it looks like he is close.

Name for Proposed New Game: Running Over the Edge.

Suggestions are welcome. Keep in mind the characters for this sub-game are beyond the scope of the umbrella game. It will run very similar to the Living in the Shadows game anyway. Only I'm the only GM, unless someone wants to help.

The game hasn't stalled as much as you may think. Madda Gaska wanted to do the decking via PM, so we are slogging through it behind the scenes. And about everyone got involved in the Living in the Shadows Game, so that slowed things down a bit.

Hey is Madda still jacked in, or can we talk to him? And is about done with the decking yet?

Oh, that is a relief. What decking, exactly? Just a pre-intrusion recon and account validation, or is he trying to actually do something with the target packages?

He's jacked in. He's not at the garage.

Up to him.

The information you guys wanted him to find/check.

Neither.

Madda, you want to give us a status report here? It'd be good to know about where you're at, even if it's just OOC so we can move closer to the execution phase. :)

At last count, the hospital was a done deal- at least as much as it's able to be a done deal. Iceblind's next target is probably the Warehouse, for want of a reason to stay on the 'trix.

I'm still waiting for Tisoz to reveal which of our former team members betrayed us. Thinking about setting up some tripwired grenades around the safehouse. :grinbig:

Wait a second. Where does it say/how do we know we were betrayed? I think he was just suggesting that, not stating it definitively.

No no Panzer, they didn't betray us. They just cut themselves shaving and died.

Or perhaps a mildly suspicious suicide? (Picture the implements: A thimble, a carrot, and a bowling ball.)

Tisoz, can you post for us the relevant data on the medical files Madda obtained?

I have not heard from Madda for a couple days, ever since I tried speeding things along, actually.

As stated by Cybersnake, it looks like the the Johnson is named Kevin Brown and was employed by EDT, or at least filed a workman's comp claim against them for the injury. EDT managed to have him terminated before he left the doctor's care and was denying the claim. He had only worked at EDT 3 weeks.

He was having a broken right arm set and placed in a cast. The reason stated in the workmans comp claim was that it was a forklift accident. His arm got pinned between the lift and a rack. It happened during the daytime shift when orders are loaded onto trucks.

Someone decked the system the next day and marked the bill paid.

An e-copy of the x-ray of his arm shows a fractured ulna and no noticable cyberware.

Apologies, work has been a killer this week. I'll try to have a proper think on what to do later today, or perhaps tomorrow.

Is it dead?

I'm thinking of recruiting additional players. If I don't see a plan in the next few days, or a request for information to form said plan, I will assume interest has died.

Roll call please. Who is still alive and well? I requested data on the power situation, no forthcoming info. Also, would our infiltration experts please stand up and present a plan?

The best I've heard so far is having Tinker do something with a drone that allows it to do something that will open the gate or at least allow us to get at it. Can someone please make a move here?

Tisoz, if you're going to recruit additonal players, post in the Living in the Shadows OOC thread and ask if any of those guys' characters would be interested. Just a suggestion.

Power situation: I told Madda it was going to be very difficult to deck the power company. I provided stupid, suicidal deckers that would do it on a dare. (Free)

I also said it was probably easier to do it physically, instead of through the matrix, such as disabling/destroying a transformer, or cutting a power line. Or finding a junction box and manually throwing the switches/breakers.

Personally, I think the game needs new infiltration/stealth specialists, and maybe a new magiic character. Or berate the current ones in character for shirking their specialties.

I honestly do not understand the reluctance to get the show on the road. Let me know what will help.

I still have not heard from him.

What do you expect him to find, where would he look, how would he find it? Ask me and I'll pretend he found it if it seems likely he could.

I'm here too. I also thought we were waiting on him. So, here's the plan: I waste the elemental, then I turn Blender invisible and he sneaks in and grabs the stuff. Panzer, you'll need a big duffel bag to hold the boxes. Also, the dogs can still smell you, so let's buy you a can of dog repelent at a pet store on the way there.

Ooh, I hand't thought of that. Yeah, some dog repelant would be good. Iceblind can do matrix overwatch, Apoc can keep watch while pretending to do hi job, and the rest of you can wait outside as backup.

Well it's good to know we're all on the same page. I also thought Madda was still doing the Matrix stuff via PM. :)

Wow, amazing what we can do when we all actually know the game's still running. OK that said, Panzer, Beast, sounds good to me. I'll go earlier and find a nice high spot with reasonably convenient access so I can cover you. Then we can proceed in accordance with your plan. What time do you guys want to do this? I'll get there a few hours earlier to scope everything out.
