If you like drawing inspiration from people like Jack Churchill, then I have a website that you may like.

In fact, I'm fairly sure he has his own spot on the site, because he's just that awesome.

I miss the Rockstar archtype from SR1 days (IMG:style_emoticons/default/frown.gif)

BTW, Jack Churchill was a nutter from the sounds of things. Not a pink mowhawk.

I love the badassoftheweek site. The White Death is still my favorite entry (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Nutter maybe, but the bastard could lead and fight, and that's what mattered.

If you're facing a surrounded, outgunned, outmaned, outeverythinged force that's decided to put on the dress uniforms and charge with pipes, drums, horns, or whatever their native equivalent is, give up and go home. Even if you win, everyone's going to remember them anyhow. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

From the link:

"Churchill gave the signal to attack by cutting down the enemy Feldwebel (sergeant) with his barbed arrows, becoming the only known British soldier to have felled an enemy with a longbow in the course of the war.[1] After fighting at Dunkirk, he volunteered for the Commandos, unsure of what Commando duty entailed, but interested because it sounded dangerous."

Mad:)

Reading further through his bio, I now understand how he got on so well when he moved to Australia...

Probably didn't consider a surfboarder to be dressed properly without a sword, either. Explains why the sharks STAYED THE HELL AWAY FROM HIM!

Dear god, you can just see it, can't you...

A sprightly yet grizzled obvious ex-pat running to the breakers with board under one arm and claymore strapped to his back, at the cries of, "Got one yet, Jack?" he strokes his mustache into place and taps lightly at the hilt of his sword.
"Not yet chaps, but the day is young!"
And with that he heads into the sea, with a vague hope that, maybe, one of the buggers hadn't heard of him yet and would come within range...

Huzzah!

I'd been wondering what this thread had been about, I should have known! Good old Mad Jack and the rest of the folks over there on Badassoftheweek, so much of it just makes for an enjoyable read. Good posting Hamsnibit!
