I still cling to the naive hope that I'm the youngest one here, at 20.

... well, it IS nearly December of 2012 ... cutting things a bit fine there, are we, CanRay? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif) It's okay. We're forewarned. Forewarned is forearmed. When Lofwyr shows his big scaled head, Suddenly: Nukes! ALL the Nukes! Any we won't have to worry about megacorps. The Shiawase Decision hasn't happened. We should be okay. I feel old now, and at the same time very young. Thank you, Dumpshock, for making me feel a paradox. You're quite welcome. |

Yeah, but if you think that means that Vladimir Putin won't roll an armored column all up in their shit and wreck their faces if they start getting notions of being beyond the government and openly flaunting it, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. |

Not much more than half my age, so just a young punk. I´m just a bit older than him, so you offer a vision of a bright and long RPG future. Sorry for stepping on the lawn (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

It's okay. We're forewarned. Forewarned is forearmed. Four-armed? Does that mean we can hold twice as many guns? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) |

So how was it? So far, so good. Still learning the system. Excellent GM. Most of the group went with Pre-Fabs while I got to custom-build my own.Heavy Weapons Troll with Decking Skills. Raised an eyebrow until I picked up the LMG and used it as an assault rifle, then cut through the IC like I had a laser-enhanced nuclear ice breaker. Luckily was backed up by a few folks about the tradition of naming rifles (Which is odd, as I'm almost never backed up by my gun nuttiness.). |

For me, the easiest way to wrap my head around the SR4A decking rules (and the same goes for earlier editions, now that I think about it) was to do it. Not to read the book, or even the chapter, cover to cover, but to make myself sit down and say "Okay, fuck it. I'm...I'm logging on, I guess? Okay, how do I log on." And then finding it all, one step at a time, using a sample character or an archetype or whatever. Trying to understand it by reading the rules never, ever, worked for me (which isn't true of most other systems, for some reason, combat, magic, whatever, I always kind of "got it" just by reading over it), the only way I could grok the Matrix stuff was to roll it out.

You got it. I pulled out the dice and just did it for fun. All alone. In the dark.
No, no, that's fine, you're all busy and far away and other important things... |

And this is why the matrix mini-game takes forever. -- You got it. I pulled out the dice and just did it for fun. All alone. In the dark. No, no, that's fine, you're all busy and far away and other important things... You know. Swapping one letter in one word makes this post so very very wrong. |
