Like I said, it's the neutrino blast that probably eats up most of the energy. They take a lot of power to create. The gate itself might suck up a bunch during the initial creation of the wormhole, too. I dunno. Just shooting the breeze until Shadow shows up. :)

I'm still sticking with the Improbability Engine idea, though. Always wanted one of those, and now's as good time to pretend we got one as any. :)

It could be that they've got the gate hooked up completely wrong, it's taking up 1,000 times more power than it should because they're feeding it AC instead of DC current or something.

I may have to edit my last post if Shadow's houseruled about Tranq patches. Most GMs do, as written up only a rating 10 Tranq Patch can actually knock anybody out, and then only a person of very low body since it rolls it's rating vs. target's body and adds 1 box of stun damage per net success. Against a Body 6 opponent the patch will probably do nothing, at best inflict perhaps 1 box of stun. Dang that's a useless bit of crap.

Granted, though I didn't ask for those with regards to combat. Tranq patches also serve as an anesthetic and even if they don't knock someone out completely the cinematic effect is to have a handy painkiller, just in case. :)

Hey Guys! I am so glad you are talking to each other OOC. I was starting to get worried. I am sorry I haven't posted a lot the last couple of days. As Grey undoubtedly knows a new big bad virus came out this week and it is causing all kinds of hell on campus.

Morg, I will PM you what Whisper could deduce about the gate.

[edit]
@ Torque,

I follow the book on tranq patches.

Those of you familiar with the tv show or the movie are welcome to describe what it is like to travel through the gate.

As yesterday I don't have a lot of time to post right now. If you do decide to describe it bear in mind it is going to be a hard exit, just like in the movie.

I need a Reaction test (TN 4) from everyone. You need 1 success to make it through the gate before it closes.

I need a Quickness Test (TN 6) to not fall on your but when you come out the other side.

Like I said, a hard exit.
