Aww, shucks...Its cool. I'm not offended. I believe it would be easy to mistake the too unless you were student of the martial arts. Its also part feign. ;) You know, to lull to opposition into a false sense of security. :P

I'm confused by your PM, Shadow. On page 14 of the IC thread, you said,

QUOTE
The watcher returns within a few minutes. Those minutes however feel like an hour in the sweltering heat. Sweat beeds then evaporates long before it does any good.

"THe crystal anchors the ward, and it is very powerful."

Your PM contradicts this. Which one should I go with? Guess it doesn't matter really.

Casting Improved Invisibility (1)

Sorcery Test: 11, 4, 2, 2, 2, 3
Drain (2M) Test + 3 Spell Pool: 5, 1, 1, 15, 14 + 5, 5, 3

Don't let life get ya down. If you need a laugh I'll PM you the email about my weekend that I sent to all the old ladies I work with. Its like having 8 moms. :wobble: They thought it was a riot.

I think I'm gonna come up w/ a new TV show. "My Vicarious Life." :)

Chase will switch over to Low Light or needs be, will swap the tinted goggles for the thermo ones. Depends on the light available.

As the possiblity of combat rapidily increases, I've noticed that several of our characters have Small Unit Tactics. Anyone plan on using them? I believe that Whisper (oddly enough) has the highest rating...

...I wonder where she got that training? :) Perhaps the shy demolitionist did a brief stint with the Star? Or mayhaps it was the Feds? Military? We may never know...

[(sigh) Once again, sly witt doesn't translate well into text. I'm not busting on you, M. Just trying to lighten the mood.]

Smiles appreciatively and winks at Kevyn.

Are you saying that I'm old, my dear?

Hmm, I'm a little confused (ooh, there's a shock). Did Cosmo's triggering of the door also drop the ward that was there? I thought Ghost Dragon was stuck outside 'cause he couldn't get past it.

Dammit, now I am confused. Sorry Leo I mistyped. The crystal does anchor the ward.

Opening the door does not remove the ward, it just opens the door.

2 people have SUT4 and one has rating 5... Realistically, we should have a few turns of conflicting orders, per the rules till someone establishes their place as the tactician... and not necessarily the person with the 5... better results = better tactician of course.

While my character has SUT I don't think Torque can use it in combat with the others to do anything but add to his combat pool for dodging, he doesn't have any reflex augmentations so he'd never managed to get any orders out before the others had already finished, even if he wanted to.

How many turns do you think combat will take BGMFH? In games I've played before 3 turns was a long battle, most were finished within an init-pass or 2.

Depends on whether people say "hah, a Light pistol does at most 9L" and stand around, or whether the character says "holy crap, a bullet" and realistically takes cover.

SR combat tends to be quick with the former, exhautive with the latter.

Here's the rolls for Cosmo's info sortilage of the glyphs. It'll take about four hours assuming base times, so it's not going to be a sudden revelation. Just something he's sort of working on in the back of his mind, so feel free to adjust as usual. :) Assuming, of course, whether or not this would even work here.

Data Mining Time: 1 hour, base TN 4
Simple Data Mining of the Glyphs (Task Pool 3): 9 1 2 5 3 8 1 1 5 5 5 5 3
Info Sortilage (Complimentary): 5 8 3 5 7 1 2 9 1 9

Relevant Modifiers: Effectively using terminal mode (+2), appropriate Channel 6 or higher (-1), not sure if the Ancient Languages clustersoft counts as an appropriate knowledge skill, but if it does (-2).

If five successes were obtained, continue. If not, no insight is gained.

Info Sortilage Time: (5 1) hours divided by 2 = 3 hours
Info Sortilage Results: 4 2 2 11 2 1 2 3 3 1

Woulda done this in a PM, but psychotic reprecussions from such things in another game recently has scarred me to the point where I refuse to hide rolls anymore. :)

LoL...

Nah, I wouldve used "Nuke the site from orbit" line from "BGMFH, the movie." The main character, a ships captain, solves most of the galaxies problems with that order.

Hmm, I don't watch that many movies so I'll have to insert quotes from other things.

"I'm going to hurt you. Go ahead and resist. I'll enjoy it more that way."

Also a Perception Check for anything mildly interesting on the way:

04 02 04 10 21 04

Why is it that I always get 21s on my Perception checks and never on my open tests?

Well, if the ward is still up, then I'm assuming it will have to be brought down before Ghost Dragon can enter. Maybe he should stay outside?

James is switching on his WR3 now. He will palm his weapons and check ammo counts and turn off the safeties.
