What? Who said anything about a horizon security hacker trying to access your commlink? I certainly didn't and neither did your commlink's attempt at analyzing itself. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) Only need one more success on that extended test for it to start warning me, unless there is some reason I'm unaware of that increases Stealth. Which reminds me of something. Once we have some down time, I want to start working on a custom piece of software to prevent stuff like this. Just an FYI for future purposes. |

It can take a pretty long time to code your own software, but we can take a look at the rules. And not, there isn't anything that can boost a Stealth program, but you are assuming that a possible intrusion would have the same level of Stealth Program as you have. It is quite possible for a megacorp's security hacker to have higher level programs. Afterall, that node you tried to hack hit back hard and fast. |

Yeah, I critically glitched my memory test this morning. I sometimes forget that there are program ratings beyond what's available for characters at character generation. D'oh on me! But it's all good. I did it to them; I fully expect to have one of their hackers do it to me. |

Then the flashbang goes off as Silas, Eclipse, and TundraWolf can post up their actions. Silas continues his forward movement through the smashed glass entryway Free action : Commlink subvocal <<@Team {Silas} : Where's our target ? we need to sharp exit before the T-birds arrive ! >> Simple Action : Observe in detail - target location and threat assessment (10d6.hits(5)=3) Simple Action : off hand shot at nearest target (probably the guy TW already shot) Off hand shot at guard Moving -2 off-hand -2 (8d6.hits(5)=2) Gel rounds |

He was one fleeing the grenade and is currently out in the open as he dashes towards the kitchen. The guard Eclipse shot earlier is shooting from cover in the kitchen doorway. The closest guard, manages to get only 1 hit to dodge, and he rolled for absolute shit on his damage resistance test. He takes 3 boxes of damage. |

Whose turn is it? I lost track. D: When it gets to me again, Eclipse will try and drop the guy who moved into the open with a single shot to the oh-so-vital-bladder and then dive into cover by Silus for flash bang and bullet protection. 8 AGI, 1 Pistol, 2 Smartlink, 1 Simple Aim, -2 moving, -4 aimed for vitals: 6d6.hits(5)=3 8P +hits, AP - "How're the frakin' drones comin'?" You're shooting at the same guy Silas shot at. With only 3 dice he manages to get 2 hits on his dodge, but that's still enough for you to hit him. And he's still rolling poorly on his damage resistance, so you did another 6 boxes of damage to him, which is enough that the impact of your gel round has knocked him to the floor. He's still alive and conscious, just knocked prone for the moment. |

Currently waiting on actions for TundraWolf for IP2. Then it will be the guards' turn.

Hey, don't kill the driver ... at least not before we figure out which is his/her van (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) He can't kill me through the matrix - I'm only in AR and not VR. And assuming my commlink is being hacked, as soon as the notification goes off I am rebooting the thing to dump everyone from it. But I'm more worried about him dropping a virus on my commlink. If that happens, according to the rules, I'm out of commission for MONTHS as a hacker. |

I've always seen the commlink upgrades as integral to the commlink itself, with the upgraded response and such needing to be purchased for each separate commlink you have. Should I need to buy a new one, I'm out ~12k. And that's assuming prices don't go up after character creation. Which means I either spend every dime I get from this run PLUS asking for a loan, or I spend [virus rating * 3] in months to get the virus out on my own. And that's assuming I hit the threshold on the first roll of the dice. Yes, there are many problems with being a hacker going up against a corporation. Which is why as soon as the alert is sounded I am going to reboot my commlink. It will take System + Response (threshold 10, extended) rolls, each interval being 1 CT, to reboot, but that gives me a chance then to get down to the bus AND it saves my commlink from getting fried. |

Slacker, just to be clear, -I'm- Eclipse and MachTen is Silus. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) Or else I'm further confused... But Eclipse is using plastic rounds, not gel. Lethal, baby!
If I can, I'd like to amend my movement now that Gardner's been shot to going into cover by him instead of Silus. I feel like as the combat medic I should probably do something about gaping wounds. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) |

But then, i've been mildly loopy on cold medicine for the last few days. And yeah, feel free to move up next to Gardner instead of Silas. |

But I can still move myself just fine. I'm not bleeding out or anything. I say we get our job done then get me patched up while we aren't under fire. |

There's a time for medicine, and it comes well before the "dying" stage of HP loss! Well, just watch out for the penalties that go along with attempting First Aid during combat. It takes a number of Combat Turns equal to how many boxes of damage you try to heal. And if you use First Aid once, you can't try again. If we can manage to get to a safe area when we have the time, we'll be much more effective in the long run. In this particular case, I think the amount of time it would take to try and heal me could be better spent getting us out safely... |

You're absolutely right - as things currently stand it would be a waste of both of our time to just stand there while I stick old kleenex in your bullet wounds.
...but I'd still like to be there when people decide a wounded giant mage makes for a really good target! |

Just waiting now for that sniper to begin his opening arguments with a tree (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) followed by summation and closing arguments with gravity !
I don't fancy his chances (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Sadly the conclusion of that little altercation will have to wait until next combat turn. The Spirit only gets the 2 passes.
