1) What's your heritage?
Hisato is of Japanese heritage, except for his maternal grandfather, who is half Sioux/Caucasian.
2) What would your parents say about you?
Hisato's parents died when he was very young; he did not know them.
3) What historical events does your character remember?
Raised in the Puyallup District, Hisato did not spend a lot of time in school. That said, his grandfather was a stickler for knowledge of history, paying to have Hisato tutored in it. Across Tarislar, resentment over the Night of Rage is still alive this many decades later, as is news of politics of the Council of Princes.
4) How did you get into shadowrunning, and why?
Raised in Tarislar, there are few avenues for a young boy to get out. For Hisato, it started with fighting and evolved into running.
5) What is your living space like?
These days he squats in a shelter with his grandfather. Given his condition, Hisato's grandfather is allowed to stay around during the daytime at the shelter.
6) What are your beliefs / convictions (if any) and why do you hold them?
His grandfather instilled a strong sense of chivalry into Hisato, always telling him that he could "be more", "stand up for what's right, even if you're standing alone" and "never compromise your own principals."
7) what do you think is your most annoying / worst trait?
Mostly alone in this world, his Code of Honor is unwavering.
8 ) What megacorp do you like the most? the Least? Why?
Currently, megacorporations are not even a consideration for Hisato
9) How did you come to know your contacts?
Nails is a ganger who collects protection money in the neighborhood from local businesses for the local gang.
Kilroy is a fixer in the Puyllups that Takako has started doing muscle work for.
Sensei Reburg was a drill instructor in the Tir, dishonorably discharged, who now runs a Karate studio in Tarislar.
10) What do you do on a day off?
Days off? Everyday is trying to scrape money together to get a better life for him and his grandfather.
11) How did you come to learn your skills at your present proficiency?
Tarislar Karate Academy.
12) Are there any moral limits on what jobs you take or things you'll do?
Hisato is bound by a warriors code of honor and by the call of Eagle.
13) How do you view magic / technomantic abilities?
Hisato is a pretty powerful physical adept. He respects the potential of magicians and really sees a technomancer as another type of magician.
14) How do you view augmentation / implantation?
To each their own, not for Hisato; live and let live.
15) What do you think of ordinary life and those who live it?
Ordinary life is something on a trid show.
16) What would be a bad nightmare for you? Any deep-rooted fears? Why is it so frightening to you?
To fail in his grandfather's eyes. He raised Hisato since he was three and instilled his strong code, which in turn drew Eagle to him.
17) What is your 'sacred object' or 'close one', and how did they become so important to you?
Raised in Tarislar, Puyallup Barrens, Hisato has no real memories of his parents, or any family other than his maternal grandfather.
18) What did you want to become as a child, and what are your goals now?
A samurai or a Spirit Warrior or a Knight.

19) What does your character look like, and what inspired her choices?
Generally he wears street clothes over a chameleon suit, armor he purchased with proceeds recently.
20) How did you get your street name?
Takako means "noble child"; his grandfather used to call him that.

Private History of Hisato
From his earliest memories, Hisato was raised by this mother's father. A hard elf, cinical of the world with just one purpose: To raise Hisato to be strong and smart. While English is the primary language of Seattle, his grandfather speaks Sioux natively and used it routinely around the house requiring Hisato to speak it as well.

Despite being a poor family living in Tarislar, his grandfather was always able to find money for things he felt was most important. Speaking both Japanese and Spetherial were two of those important things. "Never forget where you come from, Takako", he would say and money was found for tutoring. "Those who fail to study history are doomed to repeat it." and money was found for more tutoring. The Salish he picked up just from the prominence of smugglers who spoke it, if not broken.

In his teens, be began to rebel against his grandfather. He spent time running with the crowd, hanging with a number of gangers, but never jumping in... until he met Sensei Reburg. This old elf had been a drill instructor in the Tir Military and he ran his dojo the same. You joined a gang and you are out. Whoever else the old man was before, a street legend said that twice in the last decade and a half gangs had tried to press his students to jump in. Twice those same gangs declared the targeted youth and the dojo off-limits within days. Reburg had been a saving grace for Hisato. The studies kept him out of the gangs, but more so, Reburg helped Hisato develop his magic potential and Reburg helped him hear the call of Eagle.

Though he always lived with his grandfather, as Hisato matured, he reconnected with the old man. With Eagle now singing in Hisato's head, more of his grandfather's lessons resonated: "be more", "stand up for what's right, even if you're standing alone", "never compromise your own principals.", "Be the better man", etc.

Time, always the enemy of man, however had begun to take its toll. Hisato's grandfather's mind has begun to deteriorate with Alzheimer's. What little money the old man had been getting stopped, leaving Hisato to fend for them both. Without skills more than fighting, Hisato could do little but fight for a purse. His skill quickly soured the odds, but his reputation did attract the attention of Kilroy, an iconic fixer in the Puyallups.

Bodyguard work was fine, but Hisato lacked the social training for that. He generally hired out as the hitter for running teams. Blessed with the natural charisma of elves, he has been consciously working on his social skills to expand his marketability.

Hisato's motivations are to provide a better life for his grandfather. He is also curious about why, with him being 3/4 Japanese he ending up with his one, non-Japanese grandparent. What happened to his parents and other grandparents? What made them move to Tarislar when his grandfather obviously had no connections there other than them both being elven?

Pure irish, of the red-haired/green-eyed variety

They would be happy that he's alive and well, and very happy to see him after such a long time
3) What historical events does your character remember?
A recent arrival to Seattle (about 2 years ago), he didn't live through much of Seattle's history like the Night of Rage
and the Tarislar/Sinsereach feud. Most of the history he lived through was long ago and far away.
4) How did you get into shadowrunning, and why?
Lost at sea, he arrived in Seattle with very little but his wits and some other few items. He got into shadowrunning to pay the bills.
5) What is your living space like?
Upper floor of a warehouse, very cramped and small. But it has a view of the water and quick access to the marina.
7) what do you think is your most annoying / worst trait?
Likes to learn people's secrets, and sometimes has analyze truth going without telling people
8) What megacorp do you like the most? the Least? Why?
Shiawase he doesn't trust - he's come to see them as the face of pollution of the waters in Seattle.
9) How did you come to know your contacts?
After getting the orthoskin, he became friends with the Street Doc (Joanna Bridge) and helps out around the hospital (Margaret Bridge Child Health Hospital)
when he can.
The Street Doc put him in contact with the rent-a-cop when Dagon mentioned he was looking for a place near the water (E 3rd St at E 11th St, near
Thea's Park in Tacoma).
The rent-a-cop realized the skills Dagon had and put him in touch with Kilroy as someone he might want to get to know.

Take the boat out and go fishing; learn all of the new waterways
11) How did you come to learn your skills at your present proficiency?
Grew up in a fishing community, and after his UGE into elf-hood he also manifested magical talent. The area in Tir'Na'Nog is rich
in "old world" history and tradition, so it was no so difficult to find teachers and learn his magical trade
13) How do you view magic / technomantic abilities?
Magic is an inseparable part of life. Dagon doesn't have any experience with technomancers but views them as kindred spirits. "Cousins".
14) How do you view augmentation / implantation?
As long as the augmentation isn't too technical or "gadgety", it's fine.
15) What do you think of ordinary life and those who live it?
All life is extra-ordinary life.

Wears a chameleon suit on runs (a modified wetsuit), tshirt and shorts on his boat. On the boat you should wear comfortable light clothing and no footwear.

The rent-a-cop on the marina jokingly started calling him this and Dagon liked the name enough to keep it.

Life of Dagon McAllister

Born on the coast of Tir'Na'Nog in a little fishing village, Dagon grew up close to the sea. His village also happened to be on a ley line, and so the people in the village were well acquainted with "fae" and all manners of supernatural things (some real, some imagined). When Dagon expressed as an elf in his teen years, his magic also showed itself. Rather than being viewed with fear and hostility, his fellow villagers saw this as a good sign and welcomed his new talents. There was some talk of "changelings" and the like, but this was mostly kept quiet. Dagon's skill and power grew, and he delighted in his newfound abilities. He relished the role of being a "faeling" and would often impersonate some villager or another and cause mischief.

One day while exploring alone on the water, he was swept up in a huge storm. His little boat was tossed and turned and eventually swamped. Dagon would have surely drowned, and in that moment he opened himself to the sea and plunged headfirst into the dark depths. But the sea rose up around him, filling his lungs and stomach with it's power. In that moment Dagon's third eye was opened - he saw how the Sea was a force of nature, of life and death, of creation and destruction. In his drowned state he became a disciple of this power and used his last remaining spark of consciousness to form the sea around him into a gentle wave that pushed him towards land. The land he eventually washed up on was that of Seattle's coast.

He was found by a marina rent-a-cop, who took him for dead at first. After a pulse was found, the rent-a-cop grudgingly called an acquaintance who worked at a nearby charity hospital (otherwise he would have had to write up a report on this, and he hated the extra work). Dagon was brought back to health, and between the cop and the doctor was able to create a new life in Seattle. He even managed to cobble together a raft made of the flotsam and jetsam that accumulated in the harbor, using a long pole and his new powers to help propel the tiny craft up and down many of Seattle's waterways.

At any given moment, Dagon can be found either at the charity hospital helping out, poling his makeshift raft on the open water, or perhaps doing a bit of business handed him by his fixer Kilroy...

1/ What is your heritage?
Caucasian, a Euro-mutt, but mainly Irish. He was born and raised in Boston, but remained in Seattle after his discharge from the army.
2/ What would your parents say about you?
“He was always getting into trouble as a kid. He probably did everything you say, and more, officer.”
3/ What historical events does your character remember?
He remembers the basics, but never paid attention to detail. The assassination of President Dunkelzahn, Ghostwalker taking over Denver, several military operations that were not widely reported (or reported correctly).
4/ How did you get into shadowrunning and why?
Sledge joined the army at 18 to avoid jail time for multiple misdemeanors. Having finally found direction and success, he reenlisted for another four years. However, the temptation of high value items, foreign and domestic, lead to Sledge falling into his old ways, followed by a court marshal and a dishonorable discharge. Nowhere to go, no job prospects and the loss of his career led to depression and old habits.
With his previous connections in addition to his criminal and military experience, it wasn’t long before Sledge was working big time jobs instead of boosting car stereos and interactive trid systems.
5/ What is your living space like?
Sledge’s apartment is clean and organized. With modest spending on home entertainment, furniture and decorations, his home has a contradicting inviting and antiseptic feeling.
6/ What are your beliefs / convictions and why do you have them?
Though he was raised Catholic, he never really followed it. He is led by his personal ambition to become the best in his field, replacing his failed dreams of a military career with dedication to a career in shadowrunning. Not as respectable, but better paying, as well as more freedom, at least until he got pinched.
7/ What do you think is your most annoying or worst trait?
Sledge is blunt and direct, which many people do not like. His sarcasm doesn’t help matters either.
8/ What megacorp do you like the most? The least? Why?
Sledge doesn’t have any love for any megacorp, they are all the same to him. The closest thing to feelings for a megacorp is his love-hate relationship with the army. He hates them for abandoning him, though he really knows it to be his own fault that he destroyed his own career.
9/ How did you come to know your contacts?
Friends of friends, enemies of enemies and a reputation for getting the job done. 6 years in the military, 2 in military prison, and a lifetime of slowly advancing through the criminal world, from small time crook to shadowrunner.
10/ What do you do on a day off?
Relax and drink at local establishments, gamble on billiards, cards and sports. Sometimes he stays home and enjoys sports on tv.
11/ How did you come to learn your skills at your present proficiency?
Most of his B&E and stealth skills are based in self taught criminal activities, then honed in the military. Most of his combat skills came directly from his military training, then improved with that experience and shadowrunning experience.
12/ Are there any moral limits on what jobs you take or things you’ll do?
Sledge would never take a job that would attack innocent women and children. He would prefer not to kill, not so much to do with moral limits as potential legal complications.
13/ How do you view magic/technomantic abilities?
When fighting against either, Sledge fears it immensely. He cannot fathom how either work, he cannot see it, and cannot understand it, so he doesn’t really know how to fight it. When it’s on his side, it is no bother to him.
14/ How do you view augmentation and implantation?
It is a necessary evil in the business, and considers it normal for these times.
15/ What do you think of ordinary life and those who live it?
If Sledge could turn back time and not fall into the lifestyle he has lived, he would be living an ordinary life himself. He respects those who are able to stick with the ordinary life, knowing that he never could.
16/ What would be a bad nightmare for you? Any deep-rooted fears? Why is it so frightening you?
There isn’t anything in particular that Sledge is irrationally afraid of. He has many regrets, so a dream remembering past mistakes would be depressing, more than frightening, but a nightmare nevertheless. Of course, a dream about magic spiders would probably be frightening, but who wouldn’t think that is a nightmare.
17/ What is your sacred object or close one, and how did they become so important to you?
He doesn’t have a sacred object, and he isn’t really close with anyone. His parents and siblings are all upstanding citizens and prefer to have no contact with him.
18/ What did you want to become as a child, and what are your goals now?
He didn’t know what he wanted to be until he was actually 18 and in the army. Then that became his passion. After losing that, his goals changed, and since he felt he could not make anything of himself in the real world, he would have to do it in the underworld.
19/ What does your character look like, and what inspired his choices?
Sledge is 5’8, 180 lbs, white male with pale skin, green eyes and slightly reddish dark brown hair. His hair is short, and usually messy, and he usually sports a beard that looks to be a couple days to a weeks worth of growth. He dresses in jeans or cargo pants, regular plain t-shirts, sometimes button ups when the mood strikes him. He often wears a lightweight dark brown leather jacket that is well worn.
20/ How did you get your street name?
Before learning the finesse of his art, a hammer was always a good tool. When that didn’t work, then you probably needed a bigger hammer. While now knowing better ways to do things, when frustrated or in a hurry, a hammer is still a good choice.

IC Background

McGhee's used to be a respectable Irish pub and pool hall, but that was over three years ago. Now the back room was empty of any pool tables and functioned as a great place to make the aptly named backroom deals, and to perform other illegal activities.

Tonight was like any other; There were only ten or so patrons, the last remaining pool table sat in the front room, unused and in like-new condition, and Sledge sat at the bar with his usual, Jameson, on ice, along with a tall Guinness. Brennan stood across the bar from Sledge, waiting to refill glasses as necessary, as they talked about various subjects, from sports to simstars.

It was well passed noon, and his fourth whiskey, when Sledge's contact arrived. He shook his head as Mr. Johnson approached the bar, looking very nervous for someone who had the confidence to wear such an expensive business suit in this neighborhood.

"Mr. Sledge, what don't you understand about discrete?"
"Mr. Johnson, what don't you understand about casual? That suit looks like it costs more than my car."
"Uh... well... I didn't wear my tie..."
"Brennan, another round for my friend."
"Really, Mr. Sledge, we have to talk. Is there somewhere more private we can go?"
"Call me Sledge, Mr. Sledge is my father."
"Mr - Sledge, please. I don't have time for this."

Brennan poured another two glasses of whiskey and two beers. Sledge grabbed his and headed for a corner table in the front room. Mr. Johnson looked the other direction, where the private rooms were located.

"I would rather go back there to discuss business."
"I would rather drink in private, but here you are."
"Sledge. Please. Why do you have to be so difficult?"
"Mr. Johnson," he paused to take a drink. "What are you going to tell me that is so important, that people out here are not going to know we are discussing in the backroom. Your assumption of anonymity and privacy are borderline delusional. No one here is going to know anything, and going into the back is just going to raise interest. Sitting here, having a drink with a friend, is much less suspicious, and is the reason I said dress casual."

Defeated, Mr. Johnson sat down and joined Sledge. He slid a credstick across the table, which dropped into Sledge's lap.

"Smooth."
"You said you could be in and out without any signs."
"I ran into complications. I had to improvise."
"The news is saying it looks like someone smashed all the locks with a hammer."
"Not all the locks."

Mr. Johnson glared at him, then took a drink himself. He swirled the drink while looking at it, and his mood somewhat improved.

"Looking at you, one would not know of your good taste in spirits, Mr. Sledge."

Sledge gave Brennan a nod, as he had switched to the more expensive 18 year Jameson when the johnson arrived.

"As I was saying, it was not all the locks. I was running into some difficulties, so I improvised. After locating your merchandise, I realized that there was no way they wouldn't notice the particular merchandise you wanted was missing. The amount of prospected buyers for such a thing is so small, I didn't want it traced back to you, and therefor me. So after securing the product, and my window closing, I quickly smashed up a bunch of rooms and took some expensive looking drek including several laptops."

Angel is a young woman in her early twens. She is quite small, about 5'4", with a slender and willowy figure. Her platinum blonde hair is worn long and open, falling down to her waistline. She has green eyes, and overall looks rather pretty. Surely, that is also the reason for her streetname.

Angel has been on her own for most of her life. The orphan started to hear the song of the Resonance in her mind as she was only a kid. Ever since she was one with the Matrix and she wouldn't have it any other way. It is part of her life, of what she is. She cannot possibly imagine how it would be without the Matrix around at all times. She completely relies on it for knowledge, and she has learned a lot surfing the digital realms. For her it is a second reality, like a parallel world. But even though she is a bit of a computer nerd, Angel is not opposed to human relationships either. She likes to hang out with other people, chat and generally have a good time. She is wary of their reaction to her talent, however, after having some people react in fear to her powers, and is keeping it a secret usually. Only few know that she is a Technomancer, most of them being other shadowrunners like her. That is how she earns her money. While there would have been some options for someone with her skills and talents, she enjoys the freedom of the shadows. Just like the Matrix, it is all about breaking through restraints.

What's your heritage?
A regular Tir elf Recruited into the Tir Tairngire Peace Force on the strength and influence of some young scions he befriended. He was prepared and ready to lead a life protecting the Land of Promises.

What would your parents say about you?
He was a beautiful boy, he died so young. Those foul Salish and their drug running T Birds killed him and his entire team in some "accident"!

What historical events does your character remember?
His earliest memories are of the Bug electing a Dragon. He knows that isn't true, but it's all mixed up in his mind, the news about Bugs in Chicago, and a Dragon getting elected. And his memory is often what he has to rely on for those times, because a few years later Crash 2.0 really messed up the records, of that, and the Surge. Now he's worried there might be a Crash 3.0 since there are Otaku 2.0 around.

How did you get into shadowrunning, and why?
He'd just gotten back from another round of augmentation, that being the fastest path of promotion if you weren't awakened, when one of the standard T Bird runs blew up. He and three members of his unit were prepping the standard refueling units the Salish Orks paid for during their standard contraband runs when the dilapidated old tanker got punched with tracer and incendiary rounds. Next thing he knows he's in a Salish Cascade Ork vat being grilled in VR about what happened. What did he know? Nothing he was just a grunt. Then he found out the Tir had blamed him, and his unit for treason. What treason? Every had been getting their cut! The Cascade Ork cut him loose, mostly disgusted their extraction team had thought he was one of them. Next extraction team had a SOP to check the teeth, not just for pointy ears. After that it was all downhill to the streets of Seattle

What is your living space like?
It's a coffin hotel in Redmond that he share with Mattie

What are your beliefs / convictions (if any) and why do you hold them?
Promises have been broken, not that he had much faith in the Land of Promise to begin with, but he at least had a place. Now he knows that only he can keep his own promises to himself. Starting with carving his own place in the world.

What do you think is your most annoying / worst trait?
He won't cut loose those that he cares about, even if he would be far better off.

What megacorp do you like the most? the Least? Why?
They are all bad.

How did you come to know your contacts?
Ancients Lt Pegs is someone Flowers knows from Flowers Peace Force Days, the Ancients made crossing the Tir one of those events. Now that Flowers is on this side of the border Pegs is someone he can still connect with. Pegs is also useful if you need to courier anything.

Street Doc Happy Harry isn't really happy. He's sad, always frowning. Flowers needed someone to take care of the last bits of his recovery when he came to Seattle, and he Cascade Orks referred FLowers to Happy Harry. Harry is always "happy to help".

Fixer Joe the Winch is the guy to go to when you need gear. Flowers has run both sides, picking items on spec, and placing special orders. Joe is one of those people that anyone can find if you ask around enough.

Beat Cop Simon Dell rousted Flowers on one of those all too frequent nights Mattie blew all the nuyen on novacoke and forget to pay the coffin hotel and they were sleeping the streets. Simon was nice about it, and Flowers made a point to build up the relationship, starting by snitching a bit, but building to trading info and small favors.

Tech Wizard Sleazer owns a pawn shop Mattie keeps selling stuff at to feed his habits. Flowers has had to buy back so many things.

Fence One Eye Jack can move any of the bigger items. Flowers actually tried to fence One Eye Jack his own Dynamit the first time they met. The card motif paint should have been a clue. The thief Flowers fronted for is top of Flowers little black list.

Company Man Mangler is an Horizon rep who discovered Flowers during an investigation into the Cascade Orks smuggling. Mangler keeps Flowers off the radar, and Flowers trades favors.

Undercover Cop Spartan would gotten made except Flowers spun a pretty little tale and the triad muscle moved along. The two of them exchange favors and street gossip, helping each other survive.

What do you do on a day off?
Flowers enjoys the waterfront, and trips across the Sound

How did you come to learn your skills at your present proficiency?
The marksmanship and security come from the Tir ghosts, the wheeling and dealing from his natural talent augmented by crash course in border smuggling deals.

Are there any moral limits on what jobs you take or things you'll do?
Not really moral limits. He's very leery of wet work, organ legging, metahuman trafficking and WMD because of the huge risks involved, in addition to the distasteful nature of those items.

How do you view magic / technomantic abilities?
Magic is normal and natural. Technomancers are suspicious because they might be signs another Crash is coming.

How do you view augmentation / implantation?
It's good, and what you need to get ahead.

What do you think of ordinary life and those who live it?
Jealous they still have their illusions and can be happy in ignorance.

What would be a bad nightmare for you? Any deep-rooted fears? Why is it so frightening to you?
He's afraid he'll lose his ware, and the edge it gives him. Then he'd have to learn and do everything the hard way, without Magic, without Augmentation.

What is your 'sacred object' or 'close one', and how did they become so important to you?
Mattie, his boyfriend. Who nursed back to health and came with him to Seattle to start a new life. If only Mattie had any sense of responsibility and sense with money.

What did you want to become as a child, and what are your goals now?
He always wanted to go into the Peace Force and become a ghost. Now he just wants to establish himself and build up a life he sustain and retire on.

What does your character look like, and what inspired her choices?
He normally dresses in a suit, because it's easy. But it will be a fashionable suit, and when he's in the money, he will dress up in the latest styles, because he likes to dress up.

How did you get your street name?
He's named after flowers, and he started using flowers as code names. Some figured out his pattern, and he's now Flowers, and it stuck. He'll still use a flower name as a code name, but anyone savvy on the streets can probably figure it's him.

You were tasked to obtain some research documentation stored on their local servers before trashing their system and setting their research back as much as possible. The Johnson claimed to be from Shiawese, but it that was pretty obviously a false front. You didn't dig too much into that though since you got paid promptly without too much difficulty. You can't really expect Johnsons to be honest in the shadows, now can you?

That was six months or so ago. Since then you guys haven't exclusively worked together on jobs. You've each had several jobs in between where one or two of the others ran with you and unfortunately the only good parts of those jobs were each other. Left and right you seemed to either get stuck with bad runners or just drek jobs. A couple of you were the only survivors of an extraction job that ended up being a trap for a known whistleblower. Then there was the hit on a automated highway caravan where that dumb dwarf you got saddled with managed to antagonize a local go-gang while you were waiting in ambush. You had to ditch the job all together because of the entire auto-caravan ended up crashing its way off an overpass of the highway.

I could go on, but you get the idea. Finally about a week ago, you got contact by the same fixer that hired you all for the run against Genitope. He got you all back together for a mission to protect a shipment of troll sized refrigerated enclosure to a biotech facility in Redmond. You got hit by some seriously fanatical Rusted Stilletos, though you aren't sure why. You didn't even think you were travelling through their turf at all when you got hit. Through well coordinated use of your skills, you managed to deal with them without even scratching your rides.

After the last few months of struggling with random other shadowrunners, this smooth mission made you guys decide to make a go of it as a team. And that is what you were out celebrating.

Sure. Why not? You guys can all have a Loyalty 1 Connection 4 fixed contact by the name Gordon the Ironclad. Not sure where he got the name though because as far as you can tell he's a straight up un-cybered human. He's none too friendly (rather gruff when he talks to you) but hes gotten you a couple good jobs at least.
And yeah. I think I mentioned it earlier (I meant to anyway) that the first IC scene will be around 3am after you've been out celebrating a successful job and the decision to make a go as a team. Technically. I don't believe kinkos is supposed to let you print it our since it is a copyrighted book. But really I would not suggest doing that at all. Printing out a PDF creates a very bulky/unwieldy book far more so than a hardcopy released by a real printer.

Oh and I should mention for those looking at drivethru already having the PDF up, a lot of people are complaining that its not the right copy. The formatting is wrong and there are no bookmarks in it.

I'm thinking Drivethru must have released the wrong copy. I'm sure when they come out with the official announcement and it shows up on battelshop that it will have the bookmarks in it.

They obviously have a copy with bookmarks because several of the reviewers mentioned how great the bookmarks are in the PDFs they were reviewing.
