>BMW Blitzkrieg

Seriously now? We are now applying the Vladivostock Gauntlet level of writing onto Germany now? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sarcastic.gif)

Im merely moderately amused (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif)

ED: Also, telling from the list of contents its basically a SR4 Arsenal wrapup with alot of gearporn added. Guess nothing really new here either, business as usual.

The drones section drew heavily from Arsenal, Rigger 3, Rigger 2, and the Rigger Black Book, pulling a bunch of the old drones forward.

Then added about 35 more on top of that.

Expanded rules for chases, vehicle mod rules, quite a bit of fluff... give it a read, see whatcha think.

Cant, its not yet on the torrent networks.

You brought really a BMW Blitzkrieg? I hope just next to the GM Genocide and the Harley C-Camp.

blitzkrieg is a word in common use in the english language today. it has no particularly negative connotations that i'm aware of. of all the things we love to hate the nazis/hitler for, blitzkrieg is not one of them.

i dunno why you guys have such a big problem with it. it wasn't a war crime, or anything particularly awful. just an effective way of fighting an enemy's military resources. there's nothing particularly offensive about it. the army that used the tactic happened to have political leaders who were remarkably horrible people, but you might as well say that "cavalry archer" is an offensive term because the mongols made extensive use of them and murdered a crudload of people in their time.

Whatever the origins, you will find the term used quite a bit in the auto world because of it's implication of speed and power which may be why we see it here.

http://www.blitzkriegmotorcars.com/ a Canadian Auto Leasing company... can't blame the americans this time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Blitzkrieg Autowerks, another Canadian company

Active Autowerke (okay, you can blame the Yanks this time, they are based in Florida) has their modded BMW M3 E92 Blitzkrieg which makes me wonder if one of the devs might not have seen this ride and decided to lift nand tweak the name.

You might just trying to be funny, or not. Either way, piracy or its advocacy is not being tolerated around here (at least not the real world kind). Hence the aforementioned rule #5 in the terms of service. Please adhere to that. Thank you very much!

"Cavalry Archer" is a generic term for a military unit. "Blitzkrieg", as opposed to something like "mobile combined arms", refers to a specific use of the tactic, which already constituted a war crime in itself (war of aggression), involved several other war crimes, and cannot be meaningfully separated from its objectives, which fully deserve the "particularly awful" moniker.

I know that ideas like the apolitical Wehrmacht, the SS as just a normal elite unit, or Rommel being a nice guy who just wanted some beach holidays in Haifa are somewhat popular in the US, but in BMW's homeland that kind of apologetics does not float.

On the positive side, at least "Blitzkrieg" is an actual German word, unlike "Teufelkatze" or "Stürmwagon" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

PS: And shouldn't the "Corpsec/Police/Military" heading be one entry further up, so the "Vodyanoy Assault Hovercraft" is not listed as a municipal or construction vehicle? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

But you know, its completely impossible for the US Authors to check with the DE Authors, if "Teufelkatze" or "Stürmwagon" should perhaps be "Teufelskatze" und "Sturmwagen".

I'd be totally fine with a "Stürmwagen" if it has enough chrome and spikes (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

But a police vehicle called "storm railroad car!" is bound to provoke some unfortunate misunderstandings...

I'm french and in so far, in the books about WW2 I've red, Rommel looked like to be a honorable guy, even if I'm not sure he would have tried to kill Hitler in the end.

First, Africa Corps were less dirty as the russian front.
Second, he was asked to suicide (he was seen as a hero of war so they couldn't judge him for treachery)
Third, he was thinking to betray and try to kill Hitler.

He's not at all in the category and Hitler, Himmler, Goebbels...

But well I digress.

On topic: I'm not offended a lot by a BMW Blitzkrieg, though I can see why it could be avoided as a name.

Just for You guys/Freelancer (or whoever is responsible ) to know
Germans don't have THAT much Ü -Words.
Its the Turkish who have way more words (and Fun) with ü

f.E
Düşündürttürücülüğümüzünmüş
Means : He whom we believe to have done did it for real

So next time You want to needlessly add an Ü in German words please check it beforehand with your German fellow writers as they should know it better (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

There's little honor to be had if the Einsatzgruppen are following in your footsteps.

Rommel's saving grace was that he failed hard in Africa, which of course makes the hero worship that tries to focus only on his military merits even more pathetic.
