Something I overlooked:
You can't have 6 Ini dice. The maximum ever is 5 and even that can't be achieved through drugs in the matrix unless you are using AR instead of VR. 5 ini dice are only possible if you are using the multidimensional co-processor cyberdeck module form DT p.65.
But since you are the only one active in the matrix, that's not really important right now (but it will be when you are piloting your drone)

You're right at the cap of 5. I thought, it were 6.
I have 4d6 from using VR in hot-sim, plus 1 or 2 extra dice from being under the influence of Whoom.

Jack, how far away from the main safe can we get our loot for levitation? Does the BGC is measured from where the spell is being cast?
E.g. if Anna is outside the vault can she levitate the stuff out with lower BGC? or from where the magic takes effect? E.g. it would get better as we draw away from the vault. I was also thinking about summoning an earth spirit to carry the loot, as it is very strong it can carry a relatively large weight, but then was not sure what how the BGC would effect it as well. Do I need a force higher than the BGC to have it enter the vault?

Finally for spell: (trying to see how feasible it is):
I take negative dice pool penalty to BGC and the force of my spell is reduced by the BGC value? Meaning I'll need an F7 levitation spell to be able to move stuff in the vault? (assuming maximal BGC?) is that right?

@BGC

As a sustained spell you not only suffer from a reduced dice pool, but the spell's force will also degrade by Force - BGC = Force (new). So in your case you'd need at least F7 to be able to keep one success
As for the spirit: You can summon one, but it will have a dp penalty to all actions equal to the BGC. Also since the spirit is a sentient being it will very much object to go near that thing (i.e. this is one case where I'd invoke the disobedience rules from Forbidden Arcana)

But you'd say it's something very bad (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Levitation within the vault will be impacted by the full 6 BGC

Well - unless people would object we'd levitate and then open the box. Have one bird at hand, Anna would drop the reaction spell, and would cast F9 levitation spell.


Levitation F9: 5d6t5 2 So she can levitate 400 kg of stuff, I am not sure how much weight we are going to take - but if we need more than that let me consider using an edge to get 600kg.

drain (F9 - vs 7): 14d6t5 5 she is suffering 2 drains, puts her at 3 total.

Force would be lowered to F3 levitation which would still give nice speed - and then some nicer speed once we leave the vault.

Does that make sense? So Jack how much weight do we need to levitate, do I need that point of edge?

I somehow missed the part with the maglock, sorry. She's totally going inside, but not in a rush. She keeps a careful eye on surveillance, data managements, potential threats and the commlink she took. She feels in charge of organizing and regards this as her prime task. Then comes opening a horror beacon worth € 3.000.000...

btw, I have no clue at all what a horror beacon is.

In any case the info that bnc has is: A Horror beacon is used to create a bridge to the plane of the Horrors and allow them to come to our plane early. It was used by the Azzies as part as a massive blood sacrifice in the 50ies. Dunkelzahn sacrificed himself to destroy the bridge - or so goes the rumor in the shadows.

Welp, time to read up on object destruction rules for the firs time in 4 years. I have an annoying suspicion that the game will treat firing one exploding bullet as effective as firing 10, and I'll just lose attack dice.
