I'm assuming the presence of guards indicates that he's a reasonably well-dressed business man? Any distinguishing features/characteristics?

Crossbow, I assume that there wouldn't have been time for O'Connor to grab ammo off of the two dead riflemen up the street with how quickly we left, but the hostage taker was fairly close. He had a pistol, no stated model, did he also have a rifle?

Necro, you can snatch up the AKs by where the girl fell, but if you start trying to look for ammo your guide is going to be dragging you away. There is no pistol, the guy holding the girl only had an AK too. Also, realize you are riding double on what is effectively a shitty moped.

The geography of the fight is a bit fuzzy to me, so I'm assuming that O'Connor was able to grab two of the three dead guys' weapons. I am also assuming that those two rifles were from the hostage taker, and the guy killed in the first round, meaning each magazine is full.

All these AKs O'Connor keeps pick up, are they nondescript or do they have gang symbols carved into the stocks or other stuff along those lines?

Sam's definitely not trying to threaten him--hence the "heard the order" approach. Sam's trying to come off as someone who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, overheard what was going down, and decided to turn informant--whether because of some affinity for Viktor/daddy/whatever, animus towards the one calling the hit, or simply hoping for a reward; who knows? He's encountered plenty of weasels over the years, I'm sure he can get the right amount of grovelling. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

(And, of course, he has an added bonus in that he's actually telling the truth, minus the minor detail of being the one receiving the order...)

I'm not sure which skill would be most appropriate (though many of them add up the same), so I'll split this into multiple rolls.

since you mentioned that the lift moved, I assumed that the doors closed in the lobby and I also assumed there was a display saying which floor it was on (most lifts have that in hotels).

They do, also this is one of those glass elevator with an atrium things, so you can actually watch it go up. It will stop at the 6th floor, just before the penthouse suite.
