QUOTE (Ooc: I'd probably give a penalty for improper tools with a random can. But I endorse how you handled things. One nice thing about this edition from a GM POV is that it's easy to just move modifiers onto an opposing roll. It's only odd cases like casting magic on inanimate objects or if you have a small dice pool at high risk of a glitch that it would ever matter. And even then probably not worth missing out on a post ahead of time to sort out) Heh, you could take the last 6 dice off Bongo's roll and he'd still have 4 successes! You're right, though. I should have thought of that. Thanks for the endorsement. |

QUOTE (OOC: Not sure how you want to handle things moving forward there. I can kind of give you the reigns, but I'm not trying to turn Koekepan and pbangarth red here.) Not a chance. I once GMed a game in which my wife's PC seduced another player's PC. They were sitting on either side of me, and the innuendo and descriptions passed back and forth in front of me. Yeah. |

Ok then. I'll advance time in the IC post. Let me know if you have questions about what to do. Thanee can add detail if they'd like, or not if they'd prefer.
As an aside these posts tend to take long than I'd think, but I suppose I'm learning trivia about Baltimore, which was part of the purpose. I never expected to know so much about how the Baltimore sewer system works or how they manage their below ground conduits. As an aside, I have someone else PMing me from an invite back when I was trying to get this going. If they're interested I'd put them with Willie. If that doesn't work out I did get permission from Crossbow to use Flatline. I have an aversion to GMPCs. I've loathed ones that other DMs/GMs have foisted on the party in the past, and so I worry how mine would be perceived. However trying to run with a character someone else made feels different, and a bit of a fun challenge. |

Bongo has been watching people use the elevators long enough to know it must be handled in the matrix. The guards seem to know who on the street to let in and who to glare at without anybody flashing passes or exchanging words. This can change over time. Someone can bring a package and be waved over but get a guard adjusting their grip on their weapon if they stick around until it opens again.
Probably indicated in AR. And somehow people in the above apartments must be able to arrange for their deliveries and "guests". For the other folks, I think what Tubesnake is saying they want to do is move underground via the storm drain system from their van to the mahole cover. From there a little elbow grease and a large wrench could open up one of the vertical access points (not sure the technical term, but the idea is the vertical distance could let you get at the pipes while sewage slides underneath without getting on you unless it backs up). Tubesnake would know these uptown buildings take their fire load very seriously and probably use metal instead of PVC. So he'd need to have his drone spool out a wire until it pops up in someones toilet and can get on the wireless. Seems like some kind of navigation roll to get the right apartment. They aren't trying to make it a maze. But there are a lot of apartments. As for keeping Thanee in the mix. Mike is a cuddler and likes being with somene in that little nook the large angled window makes. So he could be asleep and Selina could wake up(or still be awake) for Bongo pinging her and Tubesnake about the girl. |

Close; the real question at hand is whether the metal pipes will act as waveguides so that one drone at the base can act as a relay for wireless communications all the way up; essentially reducing the need for wires while also reducing the interception risk.

I wonder if she looks like or looks related to our target. |

A few things.
A quick search will reveal baltimore city does have a journalism program. Since the park is close to the elevators. She just has to walk40feet south to the sidewalk, turn east and go about 120 feet to the elevators. Still, she's walking at a slow distracted pace so Bongo could intercept her if he wanted. Unless he shares the feed from his contacts you'd have to ask Bongo how similar she looks. ( For Bongo, she has certain similarities in body type. But she looks to be some sort of Asian African mix instead of Caucasian, so not likey a blood relative. ) I know what Koekepan is talking about with the wave guides. Many frequencies wouldn't work at all, but in principle some frequencies people use should. Still, the pipes are wet, smeared, with occasional deposits and a lot of junctions and bends. Far far from ideal. In a pinch I might allow something with penalties. But one drone with a fiber in a toilet's trap would give a "clean" signal, ironically enough. Just to be clear, whatever Tubesnake decides to have done or ask Angel to do, he'd have been able to be messing with it for the couple hours that passed.

Huh. I think I better get with the program and follow others' colour scheme. |

OK, there's one in the positive column. Thanks, Thanee. I'll wait a while to see if anyone else is against Bongo opening up a bit. If I don't hear anything against it, Bongo will go ahead.

So Koekepan's post made it sound like Tubesnake decided on a course of action with his drones, but please be more explicit so I know what he's been up to.
Also Angel needs an autistic level of explicitness on what to do. Though Tubesnake can do searches and hacks to an extent too. Also I'm not sure if it's missing the trees for the forest or good RPing in that while Bongo saw her appearing to use AR he never explicitly said so to the group. |

I choose to go with good RPing! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Bongo, a creature of his time and environment, though, would find it quite natural for one to use AR in all kinds of situations, such as checking in at a location expecting them. I suspect one could walk down any street in SR 2070 and see all kinds of people 'phased out'. |

The intent was to illustrate a line of thought, with the only actual action being looking to see whether there were such a list - but I'll go with the continuing research assuming that nothing else interrupts him for the minutes that it takes.
