Koekepan, it seems like your character sheet link was broken .

I was looking for something to roll for the drone navigation. Not like a crash test, but to figure out how to guess the right pipes to take to wind up the the right toilet. Something plus logic. One roll. You had enough time to get up in some toilet, the only question being if it's the right one.

And just to clarify. Tubesnake is below ground at the manhole underneath the building Bongo mentioned.

Tubesnake has taken off the bolts and head of the inspection riser/pipe (I think that's what it might be called) and has one Anneliese in there on a fiber cable.

Potentially a second is in there wirelessly, that has been using the wired one as a relay.

Tubesnake is interested such a wireless annelid to pop out like Mr. Hanky and explore.

OK, I don't know how we got there from here.

Paul is supposed to be at his van. He is remotely controlling drones, testing physical infiltration strategies for the drones. He only opened the manhole to put his drones down it. Assuming that he has signal (which is why he set up a relay team in the expectation of signal being interrupted or attenuated) he would continue operation.

Once a drone can infiltrate through a commode's riser, its signal accessibility should be greatly improved unless the entire building is a Faraday cage (highly improbable because the tenants would complain) at which point he can be pretty confident of being able to control it from his van anyhow.

Why he would go down the manhole himself is beyond me; it buys him nothing.

I'll try it on my laptop but it doesn't work for my phone. Does it work for anybody else? Could it be a permissions issue?

I figured Tubesnake was in the van, too.

I see a lot of HTML code but not the page it should be generating.

Well, you have to get the bolts off to get access to the sewer line.

However if Tubesnake wanted to stay in the van, it occurs to me the brisket drones can use tools. Presumably one of those could have managed it. It could also serve as one end of the fiber optic link if you don't want to have the fiber running all the way from the van.

Just grab the file, name it as Paul.html, and slap it into a browser.

Lenny is a human male hacker that has no business running the shadows.

He wears a helmet not so much to conceal his identity but to avoid death from traumatic brain injury. Think Leonard from Big Bang Theory.

While wearing gear for the job, it's too clean to give the impression he's been at any of this for long.

Just making sure this was background and fleshing out the character and intended for the OOC thread, instead of the IC thread.

Lenny will be loading Analyze, Bio-Feedback Filter, Browse, Exploit, Decrypt, Scanner, Spoof, and Stealth onto his commlink. Thanks to the ergonomic mod to several of his programs this won't slow down his commlink at all.

The Hacker will begin with scanner on the boat and note the various signals he's getting and then running analyze with them to log them as friendlies. After that, Lenny will scan out onto the water to see if anything is coming their way of us to them.

This is all being done in AR.

Let me know how you'd like me to roll for this--I forgot to ask before (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

Here's a roll to see if Willy catches what Flatline mumbled.

Perception roll: Perception 3 + INT 5 + earbuds 3 = 11 dice: 5 hits!!

Lenny is running Scan on his commlink to detect any wireless signals and those that might be hidden in the general direction that Willie's Otter is heading.

Here's the roll for Scan.

He'll follow up by running Analyze on any nodes he finds.

You can flesh stuff like that out and include it in IC posts.

In this case I'm not sure what you did for the scan post link, but it wasn't the right thing.

to get Fiona in through the ward where nobody is looking

Yes, that is what I was thinking, already. With the scouting intel, that Tubesnake provides, Fiona can certainly get through the Ward in a place, where she won't be seen, and then possibly provide some astral intel from inside.

By the way, seeing as Willie doesn't expect to have to make it through scanners with his weaponry, the expensive and very hard to get HK Urban Combat smg and its ammo are safely stored back home.

Like most gamemasters fixers, Brewster has a hard time getting hackers, and is willing to develop the talent of individuals like Angel and Lenny.

The dermal plating on his head may get a workout from the wall sometimes as a result.

What kind of rolls would you need for Fiona?

Probably Infiltration and the four Assensing rolls.

Is the ward active around the whole apartment, or just some parts of it?
