Yes,those would work as well. Not a bad idea. However there could be a few problems there as well.First would be getting them in time, unless someone already on the team has some.Asuming whoever has an appropriate contact has an etiquette skill of 6 and rolls 6 successes against TN:4.It would still take 8 hours to get. Most time frames that would be fine, but we probably won't have that luxury with this run.Don't get me wrong. It also rules out the Portacam I mentioned earlier. The availability on both items just occured to me.

I still think if anyone has got an opticam and a datajack w/ headware memory that could be useful.Actually after Weasel's last IC comment it is quite possible that he is still alive.Any more ideas? It still would be nice to somehow cover our hoops if the elf has been/or is killed by the gang members if something goes horribly wrong. We may be getting slightly ahead of ourselves considering we haven't even gotten out of the basement yet.

once the meeting is over, its time to work on getting the info about where he is... I say we check the Bar where the money is supposed to be dropped... if we don't find evidence of him there then we move forward with locating the rest of the gang... of course we need to be quiet the hole time and avoid conflict that could lead to his death.

Oh, if he's alive now, I fully expect him to be dead by the time we're done with the operation. I just get the feeling that we're going to be seeing these guys on not-so-friendly terms before too long.

I've always felt those rules are a bunch of crap. What good fixer won't have a nice cache of ready stock? And you have to be nice to them so they'll agree to get it for you? Nah, doesn't really fly with me. If you want to get a gun camera, talk to Brass, and he could point you towards one.

Stitch has a cybereye camera and some headware memory, but that might not be enough, by itself, to establish time and cause of death. If the gangers geeked him, we could always take one of them back with us alive. Any number of magical or drug-assisted means of interrogation would reveal the truth and clear us.

But we also need to think about what we will do if the elf dies and it is our fault. :D

I think we might want to go in with a bit more stealth, and a bit less guns blazing, but still plan for the contingency of the elf getting killed.

Like everyone else, I need to stop for gear.

I would agree with the stealth approach over the blasting everything in sight.Like TKG,I have a feeling that we will probably have to face the merc team on unfriendly terms, but no reason to go into this all Nino Brown style.Unless the bonus which he never mentioned was equal or over 15 grand each.

You can get a mini camera (about the size of a key) for under a hundred dollars today. They are USB interface and would easily work as a guncam. Besides, why over complicate things? Have someone strap on a pocket camcorder to his helmet. :)

Kat's got a cybereye camera, ear recorder, and headware memory. Can't do video, though.

Which reminds me, she records images on everyone at the meet and autio snippets for voiceprints, etc.

Well, I say we recon the Bar, who is the sneakiest of us? Kat? We will need an astral look as well, Stitch?

After we have recon I say we make a decision on how to play our cards.. When you get ready to recon I want to have the team on station a short distance away to respond to threats as needed. NO SOLO WORK, if these guys can take a high end merc captive they can probably handle any one of us easily.

Second point, we need a vehicle that can blend and be easily disposed of, so someone should steal a van and do a quick spray job on it to change its look. Mech's Van can do the extraction work but we want at least two vehicles. That way if they come after us we can bait and switch them directly into an ambush.

Third point, my tenative plan is to sit overwatch (Sniper), while the Sammies do the extraction, we need astral overwatch.

Fourth point, "Quiet is Better." lets pull the elf out quiet and if we decide to take the gang down then we can do after the elf is out of the fireline.

Hows that sound??

Yeah,I'm ready to rock.I just figured we were waiting for everyone to post.It has been some time since a few have posted, and I just assumed we were still waiting to go up the elevator.

Maybe we should get a role call?

On the other topics.Traz isn't stealthy at all.As far as the recon is concerned I don't mind being stationed close by in case the drek hits the fan.Fine by me.

So who has a decent stealth skill.I'm guessing that Kat will .So,how about it Kat?

Kat's realtively stealthy, but she really doesn't want to go in without backup. Astral scouting should provide us with enough info to come up with another plan at that point, I'd hope.

Stitch is relatively stealthy, and also has an invisibility spell and a micro-transceiver/external transducer, so he would be a decent choice for recon. Unfortunately, as a sorcerer, he can't astrally project - only perceive.

Otherwise, Noctum's plan sounded pretty good. Stitch might wind up pulling double duty, because it would probably be a good idea if he was on the assault team, both for spell defense and for his capabilities as a medic (especially since it is so important to keep the hostage alive).

Reth does pack an improved invisiblity spell and is a full mage.

Wait a second, let's define "stealth". There's social stealth and there's stealth stealth. Kat can do both relatively well, so if we're wanting to infiltrate, she can work on that angle, or if we're wanting to do a more invisible recon, she can also handle that.

Shouldn't we be able to gather all the info we need with an astral recon? That will determine whether the elf is in the place the money is to be dropped off as well as the level of security, gang member(number of guys) wise right? Is Reth keen on that? Then we can decide on our next plan of action.I don't know much about astral perception, but wouldn't it be faster and safer than a physical recon?

Would we even need a physical recon?Like I said I don't know the ins and outs of astral projection/perception.Just let Traz know what the plan is,and he's ready to roll.

The only snag in an astral recon would be if the gangers have a mage on their side as well. I'm all for it before we go in phsyically, though.

Does he have to be on the astral plane already(the ganger)or can he sense it when someone else is snooping around astrally?

On another note Voorhees said the gang wasn't highly powered.I wonder if that is any indication that they don't have mages. When I think of go gangs, and especially the one it sounds like we are facing,I tend to not think of mages, but you never know.

If the gang actually is that low powered (yeah right) then they may or may not have a mage. Odds are more likely that there's a shaman. Reth'll know once he's at the site. Of course, finding the place is another matter altogether.

I Say we move into positions around the bar QUIETLY, have Reth jump out for a quick look. Then if something goes wrong on the astral recon he can hop back and tell us and then we hit the place from front and back Swat style if it has a back door. If its a problem we just shoot everyone in the place. If the recon goes good then we make a quick onsite plan and pull him out.
