grendel:
Per that rough map earlier, you've got maybe 20' of slightly curving ~ 5'-wide corridor to get to before you reach the door. I wrote it as suggestion because he's able to extrapolate what happened, but he too isn't in a position to see it directly. All surprise has been dealt with, from now on we're into normal initiative. No sound of bullets yet. Richochets will be an issue. Q -- how does SR4 Confusion work? As of now, it's active. |

WR1-
Yes. And one at 20:30 at Loveland Quinn's. Slip- Can I assume that John told Max about the 20:30 meet as they exchanged stories? |

Scrap - Yah, I just didn't want us to have to repeat everything again in the IC post, so I just left it with a blacnket statement about use telling each other our information.
WR1 - Still no contact from Blaze yet correct? I also assume you know that Max is always looking at people's auras...being dual natured kind of does that to a person. :) |

WR1 - Loveland Qinn's was the Shaman that John's contact set him up with. I am guessing it is the same Shaman that my contact set me up with, but that is just a guess. :)

Slip- They're being totally honest, open, and vulnerable, as far as your reading of their auras shows. And thanks for the Loveland Quinn's reminder.

WR1- Slip is correct in his post above. It is the meet that John arranged with Rosa for some magical help. Sedna was actually GMing Rosa at the time, which is why it may have slipped your mind. |

WR1 - Not blaming you. :)
It is just amusing that Max actually thinks he will be able to walk into a prison camp for metahumans looking as he does and then walk right back out with one or two of the camps detainees, because hey we are all civilized people around here, right?....right?!? :D |

Just wanted to see if Ivan spotted the slate grey Bulldog-type van that was leaving the parking lot as he was leaving (walking to his bike, I ment). He did, by the way ;) |

SR4, p. 287: Confusion Type: M. Action: Complex. Range: LOS. Duration: Sustained The confusion power allows a critter to befuddle a victim, so that the target is unable to make decisions, loses his sense of direction, remember what he was doing, and so on. The critter makes a Magic + Willpower Opposed Test versus the target's Willpower. The net hits scored by the critter serve as a dice pool modifier to any action the character takes. Remember that spirits have to be on the same plane of the target in order to use their powers. Vedic's willpower (4): 5, 4, 3, 3 (1 hit) |

Heh, a hippie with a sense of schedule? Will wonders never cease. :)
Do I remember anything else about Carla? Or, related to that, how free am I to make up details here? I mean, saying someone's on the extremist side of the People's University, is that like saying that you've found a particularly ravenous rabid dog, or did you mean an extremist on the more humanitarian, docile side of the Uni? :) [ Spoiler ] (Edit): Okay, post written. Does that sound like the Carla you envisioned? :) |

Sorry, grendel, my total SR4 know-not is really showing, which is actually the major reason for this current slowness of posting (otherwise mostly caught up in all things except webbing): I know storyline, I know environment to be able to react to whatever Vedic does, I know what every NPC is doing in the abstract, I have their stats, but I am still very much learning out game mechanics, and in this case specifically how initiative and actions work.
The current question is regarding what would SR3 be a Force 6 Hearth spirit (same plane, yes: if not same elevation ;) ). Does MG and WL still equal Force? How do its initiative / RE change? The other powers (Accident, Alienation, Concealment, Confusion, Guard, Search) -- same pattern of change as what you've already written? (Trying to minimise your work needed in answering.) WinterRat: [ Spoiler ] Everyone: web -- specifically Blogger -- help needed, specifically two things. Anyone here know how to: (1) reverse the reverse chronology (so it goes oldest to newest, and not just in archives)? (2) trick the software into printing a different year outside usual posting limits? |

You probably already found this, as I think it is for the Archives: Blogger Help. As far as the date, that probably runs off of the server the Blog is hosted on. There's probably a hack, but my quick search didn't find anything. I'll look again and let you know. Edit: I've posted the question on a couple of relevant boards. I'll forward any answers. |

Keep in mind that a Force 6 spirit is far and away more powerful in SR4 than it was in SR3 in many ways. The Reaction attribute alone tells you it rolls 12 dice to defend itself against ranged attacks even without full defense, and 18 dice against melee. This is of course assuming you can find enough armor penetration to deal with the weapon immunity, or on the flip side note that Willpower and Cha are on average lower. Air spirits are damn near invincible under the new ruleset. Basically in terms of raw power a F6 spirit under these rules is something like a force 8-9 spirit under SR3.
This balances by noting that spirits are tough to summon, and have pretty hellish Drain as well. |
