Heh, as the one guy who's seen everyone's character sheets, I have to say that most of the LITS characters wouldn't make in most other games. Which is why your GM staff is eagerly looking forward to what actually happens when a fight does break out.
We figure it should give you all a chance to express your creativity and experience combat from an entirely different POV than the usual 'how can I destroy the most bad guys with the maximum efficiency/cool factor/destructiveness/insert adjective of your choice'. I would like to add that is a compliment to all of you, the players of LITS. When we started that was exactly what we were looking for, and are pleased to have gotten: characters who are PEOPLE first, and RUNNERS (heck in quite a few cases not even runners) second. In my own opinion at least, the amount of role-playing has been awesome, and it's been a blast to read everyone's stories and watch them unfold and the characters come to life. I for one am excited to see how each one of your stories unfolds, if the thread progress thus far is any indication, then it tells me it's going to be great! I was mentioning to the GMs the other day, after an in-game month, you could copy and paste this thread (and all related ones) direct, and you'd have a pretty freaking good (and LONG) novel. A testament to all the players and GM staff here who've made that happen. And it just hit me, since I didn't give much a testimonial to our 1000 post bonus karma point (happens when you sneak in posts at work), consider this it. Great job everyone! :) |

Mine too -- the hiding part anyway. The running away part would involve an actual instinct of self-preservation ;) Old Other Game joke: best investment a first level mage can make, is in as awesome a suit of armor as can be afforded ... and then put it on the big guy at the front (aka the Arrow Shield). |

Sedna- that works great, until your other two party members happen to be a monk and a two-weapon melee fighter relying on dexterity. Doh! And guess who was the mage?
I'll add also that Bandit and Ronin's brother (playing the monk) collective attitude was: Quit being a wuss and suck it up! You've got 4 hit points! As long as the GM rolls 1 on damage, you'll be fine! Slipshade- Give me a Body or Willpower roll (whichever is higher) against a TN of 6 as well. |

I was always the charge-heroically-to-my-death-Paladin guy. And somehow I never died :)

General Public Announcement
I'd like to welcome Shadow aboard as our latest addition to the GM Staff of LITS! He will be joining us as a Run GM, and he (or your World GMs) will most likely be recruiting (in game) as soon as we have the relevant details worked out amongst the GM staff. So don't worry, your fixers and/or appropriate contacts will contact you if they think you're the right fit for the job. Welcome aboard Shadow! :) |

Kinda makes me regret wimping out and actually taking Stunball over Analyze Device like I was originally planning. :) If only the Analyze spell didn't suck so completely for anything I might actually use it for... :P |

So Sedna, should I take this to mean Alleycat will be the 'brute force' member of the team? After all, who needs evasive tactics or strategy when charging straight ahead into confronation will do, right? ;) |

Damn straight :D
You know, Slipshade, in an ironic sort of way, Max's karma pool probably did save his life ... FYI: Something life-urgent has come up. I don't know if I'll be back to the computer today; but hopefully it will just be the one day. Pass the word as needed, please? |

That patio is covered by cameras mounted discreetly at the corners of the house and protected by armored lexan bubbles. The installations are multi-spectrum, mobile, with 10X optical zoom, and probably linked to data recorders somewhere in the house. It's a professional installation, and difficult to bypass. Also, the grounds of the house feature defensive landscaping, and the floodlights are set so that their backscatter from the walls raises the ambient light level to constant low-light. It's a layered, state of the art defensive system, and only the exposure to a long range sniper shot keeps Cosmo from feeling safe. That and her dinner companion, of course.

The program spits out gibberish, no matter how you rearrange the resulting string of numbers none of the locations derived appear to make any sense. Also, given the resolution from your initial location, it appears the intersection of the lines of position is directly on top of the crypt.

On top or inside? Did the location indicate elevation?

This crypt, is it like a structure or like a sarcophogus?
