WinterRat- Would that call be to a fixer contact? If so, we've never finalized who that would be for Scrapheap.

Ahem. Working on that contact database. Priority numero uno after this friday. For that though, you could probably get it through the gang almost as easily. They aren't that hard to come by.

Cedric:
I wanted to state that your posting between the electronics store and the club is a great example of PC initiative. I enjoy that you took the story within your own hands and I look forward to such initiative in the future. I will be posting something for you at this point :) Knight: I haven't forgotten you either and will be posting for you soon as well. Notice I apologize for my recent slowness in posting. My senior honors thesis is due this coming Friday and I am currently pulling my hair out trying to pull everything together in time, while still studying for final exams. After next Friday things will become infinitely easier for me and I will be a much better GM and PC at that point. Thanks for your understanding :) |

Good luck, bandit :)
That reminds me: seriously behind in assigning karma this week, so I'll pull a WinterRat™ and hand it out for two weeks this coming Sunday. |

WinterRat-
The gang would work, but I'm trying to wait to talk to them until after I meet with Twiggy. Just in case I need to hire some muscle. What about my Doctor friend? He is located not too far away from the current location (Redmond General). I do not know the rules for lack of sleep, so I don't really know if this is needed and/or will help. |

Apologies to Sedna for borring some of her shadowtalker's names. If I used any of 'em wrong let me know and I'll change it.

I'll say here what I say to everyone: go for it! :D It's going to make life a bit more complicated for one of those involved, but that's life in the shadows, after all. (If you're curious, I'll say this much: at least one of those names turned up in someone's storyline. Beyond that, if you're still curious: the browser "Find" function is a Good Thing.)

Grendel: I'm gunna boot the system and see whats up with it. If it checks out, I'll then plug the chip I've got into it and see if the chip reacts to being inside the deck. I'll toss you a computer roll just in case.

Ettiquite roll (wow, who knew I'd actually be using that skill for what it was intended--fitting in!):
04 04 03 hm. Oh well, we'll see how badly he screws up in time, I guess. Next time I'm stuck with no idea how to proceed I've definately got to stop *thinking* so damn much; it's a flaw I share with my character. :) @ Sedna: Heh. Considering the name I guess the content was a little... off, maybe? Ah well; here's hoping the person't life I complicated doesn't come after me. :D |

All right. :) In the interest of saving a bit of rp time I've summarized very broadly in the thread that Cos is asking questions about how things are run at FTL Matrixware.
Specifically, she's looking for information on security protocols, how well the regular guards are armed, and what sort of physical security is available in case of an emergency. She's chatting him up as charmingly as possible but making sure that he offers the information himself and not as a result of her questions. If it's possible to get a bit of information about the interior of the building to suppliment the data from her blueprints without seeming too obvious, she'll do that as well. Interrogation check (defaulting to Cha with Good Looking and Knows it as a modifier): 2.4.5.5.8.11. I really miss pheremones. :( (Hehehe, :D) |

Hey cool! Karma! :D
Just a quick (series of) question(s), Grendel. :) Since your post was edited after I turned in for the night. What is the common wisdom for dealing with this automated pattern-recognition system when one doesn't have matrix backup? I've made a point of familiarizing myself with rigged security systems but I don't know much at all about the other side. Does it work on a similar level or should Cos have ordered a rosary with the rest of her new equipment? Security Countermeasures: 2.2.5.8.9.13. |

I think I'm copying the way you asked that "quick (series of) question(s)", Morgannah, since it pretty well describes the way all my LitS-related e-mails seem to be coming out :D

I prefer to think of it as "getting into character" .. sneakiness is important, you know. ;) |
